The only thing I can think of is Fiedler ran over Huizenga's dog. Every year, they try to replace him, and he doesn't go anywhere.

Well, you do have a point about weak finishes killing wrestling. WAAAAAY too many matches seem to end via rollup, etc. Makes the loser look like a bitch, and the winner, uhm, doesn't gain that much. What's so wrong about killing someone dead with a move, then pinning? It WORKS. Do it.

I dunno if anyone saw this article... caught it at work.

The iCollector

It starts with a tale of the author and a mission: Find every song which was a response to UTFO's song "Roxanne, Roxanne". (Roxanne Shante's career started because of this song, ya know.) He takes umbrage with a claim of how many there were (AMG said 103), tries to do it, and makes some headway, but lets it go. Then he gets Soulseek, and SPLADOW gets back on it and finds a LOT more. Why? Someone else had the same idea and ripped a lot. And that wasn't all he found... there was one user who had a folder of everything sampled on Paul's Boutique (one of the most prolific of albums when it comes to sampling), another had the history of Miami bass... it keeps going. Whyzzat? Because of smarter users.

No, really. Instead of catering to people who just want songs, Soulseek's users typically want albums. And they keep 'em in a really organized hierarchy of folders. I know I do.

So it's sort of a conceptual jukebox sort of thing... the writer's talking about it in terms of the iPod (something's gotta fill up the gigs of space), but still... I thought it was an intriguing article.

np: Yukmouth: "Game Ova"

Oooh, beef that's actually interesting. Even if no one knows who the fuck they are. ;D

For some reason, The Game (of G-Unit, erm, fame?) and Yukmouth (former frontman of Luniz) are a-fussin' and a-feudin'. Maybe Mr. Game spoke ill of Suge Knight (as the head of Yuk's label, Rap-A-Lot, is tight with him). Anyway, this is a response to the Game's "I Got A Million On It" (available, as is this song, at cocaineblunts.com). I'm giving this round to Yuk, who gets off lines like:

"A bitch move is showin' a nigga your gun and not usin' it/Nigga, I'm not Joe Budden!"
"You fuckin' poodle/Get it right, bitch!"
"Fuck that little-ass yellow gold whatever the fuck you rockin' with"

And he keeps talking about how the Game... has a tongue ring.

Stop bumping. Although I will say that a few eps are on DVD. Thanks to a friend of mine, I know. It appears they're somewhat edited (music licensing issues, metinks) but they DO contain the live-action bits.

Personally haven't heard much of them. But I have the Faith No More album with Trey Spruance (King For A Day, Fool For A Lifetime) and Mike Patton's gone even more batshit (in a good way) since FNM, which I wasn't sure was even possible. Allegedly, he contributed to Bjork's new one (nearly all of the instrumentation was actually vocals, which Patton specializes in) but I can't find credits for him.

I actually REALLY wanna see Meet the Feebles. Then again, all I've seen of Peter Jackson's non-LotR work is Dead Alive, which is quite good.

Although I will say to avoid anything on Showtime Extreme when possible. My dad watches movies on there whenever possible, and the best thing I can say about them is they're really easily forgettable.

As heard (okay, I said it) in the newsroom, during a debate on names:

"Good thing they can't use the Senators... I mean, it worked out SO well for them the last two times..."

And Bill Lee, when asked if he'd see them play in DC:

"HELL no. First in war, first in peace, last in the NL East."

Although from what I hear, the owner before Loria's to blame for getting that ball rolling. Loria didn't help matters at all, but Claude... forgot his last name... pissed off fans and dumped great talent, right?

Although a golf ball ain't exactly a bottle, and Mike Lowell is no Loria. ;P

Molly: The Chiefs ripped shit last couple of seasons, but their lack of defense has caught up with them... their receivers just suck. Holmes, ergo, can't be his badass self, and HELLO 0-3.

Dunno I'd say fixed, because it makes no sense for MLB to deliberately submarine one of its franchises. But they were certainly neglected.

And good news: MLB sez Youppi! will follow the ex-'Spos to Washington. You KNEW they wouldn't let him fade into Bolivia.
