Since my alma mater didn't have a football team (+3 scene points) I've mostly been following, well, you figure these out.

* Hawaii (we loves us some Timmy Chang and the Fun 'n Gun offense)
* Minnesota (a couple of years ago, their QB had a great game against... I forget, but it was for Paul Bunyan's Axe... oh, by the way, it was during Ramadan and he's Muslim, so no fluids of ANY KIND for him)
* most Pac-10 football (I like offense, shoot me) as well as Mountain West teams (I'm already getting a man-crush on Urban Meyer's offensive philosophy... line up four wide, one RB... and RUN IT UP THE MIDDLE) like Utah and Colorado State
* Colorado, although the goodwill from their ASS-WHIPPING of Nebraska's kinda worn off

Yeah. This is what happens when you don't have a team to pull for and gotsta find one yourself.

Well, yeah. But parties are going to target even fewer areas, focusing on population centers instead of states with a bunch of representatives.

Well, it's a matter of equality. If marriage is a sacred institution (and it certainly is religious in the current consensus on its roots... you decide how accurate THAT is) and you favor civil unions for same-sex couples, guess what. You don't get to call them marriages for heterosexual couples and gay couples have to go with civil unions. Same rights and responsibilites for everyone, so the names don't get to be different. Now, if it's in a church, they can decide. But the state can't do that... equal protection and all.

Then again, from what I've read, Texas wasn't constitutionally allowed to cast electoral ballots for Bush/Cheney anyways, so it's not like something as nitpicky as nomenclature is gonna mean anything.

Arwon: I'd be curious to see how a system like a coalitional government would work here. It would certainly open things up to more parties instead of two courting special interests.

Ryd-erm, Croix: We need IRV YESTERDAY. Although I doubt that the populace would embrace it before it's deemed a fKitten Yiffer.

Uhm, "Gasoline Dreams" reeks of the best parts of Public Enemy, so I'll recommend that song.

I'm sure someone started a thread on this show eons ago. But I'm not bumping. NEENER NEENER.

It's about three kids in the Foremost World-Renowned International School of Lucha: Rikochet, Buena Girl, and the Flea. They do stuff. Only it's got a really original, vibrant, expressive style not unlike new-school, non-sucky Cartoon Network originals. The whole show's animation (as I understand it to be, according to the making-of special), once past the animatic stage, is actually done in Flash. But the show's made for TV, not the Intarweb.

The actual wrestling bits seem reminiscent of DBZ with masks and a competent editor, but they're just part of the backdrop. I think they pull off the id/ego/superego dynamic better than most shows of its ilk... and of course, the WB recently yanked this show. It's on Cartoon Network, and if you've got a Wal-Mart nearby, hold your nose and dig through the $5.50 DVD bins. Found the first six eps in there. (Although to be fair, they DO have Wall Street and the original The Manchurian Candidate in there... although the latter wasn't supposed to be there. BASTIDS.)

Hrm. Decisions, decisions.

Floyd: Smoked many a bowl to them in school.
Doors: Fell asleep with my first to them.

Ah hell, I say Floyd. Because they hold the lead in releases I own, 2-1.

OOOOOF. It's been known to happen, Colleen... but still.

Minnesota might be the Big Ten's West Virginia. Good-to-great team with a VERY fortuitous draw, schedule-wise. Should be fun to see what they can do... a great offensive line can work wonders on a great defense.

Bella: Same thing with me. I still didn't believe it until they actually rolled the credits.

Oh, and let me reiterate: DEAD PREZ. If you watch Chappelle's Show, their song "Hip Hop" plays when he walks out onto the stage (after the bit where he tosses the busker some change). Everyone who knows anything of them loves them (but the idiots hate him, which is why they're idiots).

I hadn't played it in almost a year, and managed to jump right back in. Although I'm trying to catch up by playing about a week and a half in one day.

Actually, I think a lot of these games might be abandonware. All you need to do is know where to look, and they'd be a whole lot closer to legal than you'd expect.

Ooooooof. Good thing I'm out of the pick'em league this season. In my two survival leagues:

Houston over San Diego
Baltimore over Cleveland

In case you want an explanation... I bolded my picks. In italics? The actual WINNERS.
