Ever play an NES game with samples and think "holy crap, that doesn't even SOUND like what it should be"? No? Go download NES Play Action Football, get a first down, and then you will.  Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas about how I could replace samples in NES games... I'm referring to the PCM channel in particular. I'm sure there's no one way to do it in every game, but if anyone has any ideas as to registers and such... Going off of the name, it sounds like I could possibly use a WAV file to replace the sample, because that's also PCM audio too, no? |

| Eh, I'd have to go with Flea. Slash is just a weenie, and Ozzie's kinda funny, but you don't really get to go toe-to-toe with him in CT, if I remember correctly. 'Sides, he's got the better namesake... maybe if Slash had his inspiration's hair and fashion sense... |

| np: DJ... erm... Mike: "Change Clothes (The World Has Turned and Left Me Here)" Yeah, ANOTHER mash-up of the Black Album. Yes, it's based off of Weezer. No, it's not called the Black and Blue Album... that's just the sub-title. It's really called Jay-Zeezer... yeaaaah. It a little rhythm-deficient at times (hey, the guy who did this hated rap before he started), but at times REALLY inspired... it's not just the beat + Jay-Z's vocals. He blends in some of the original Weezer song, which works quite well. I'm almost starting to think I can do this. (I think it's actually a work-in-progress... only six of the planned fourteen songs are done.) |

| I'm having some technical difficulties running The Sims on my comp. Keep in mind I didn't exactly get the most legit copy, and I forgot the password to THAT file (if I had thought to remove the password when I had it... or if any password crackers could figure it out...) so I'm using just the unpacked files. Anyway, what happens is it gets to the loading screen after the intro movie. When it gets to "Extruding Mesh Terrain" (the first thing it does), I get dumped to the desktop. Sometimes, I'll get to the next one, then it dumps me back. Any idea what could fix this? | |||

| Kitten Yiffer: It's the archive... it's an ACE file in 24 parts (the original, then .c01 to .c23). I don't remember exactly where it was from... just that it came off of IRC and worked before. I think it's ACE 2.0, though, so no one seems to have any way to crack it. I've also got House Party (that's a RAR file with a handful of ZIP files in THAT, but I don't believe they're protected) and Livin' Large (that's a protected ZIP file). Think they're all decompressed on another CD, though I think that's what I installed off of. I believe I do have Livin' Large, the original, and House Party decompressed and unprotected. | |||

Yeah, I'm sorry I wasn't descriptive enough in that doc.  I just cracked open the Final Facelift patch in IPSelect and got all the chunks from there. So yeah, what you do is patch those chunks in IPSelect to a clean ROM and there ya go. In other words, what everyone else said. | So my father recently decided to upgrade his cell phone, and I got his old one. Well, it's quite nice... a Siemens SL56. Only I can't download ringtones. For some reason, I need wireless Internet access. But I don't have it. I'd check his account, but I can't do it online. And he already went to bed. AND I can't get their customer service until Monday. The worst part? When he first got the phone, he could download ringtones and graphics just fine. And now HIS phone has wireless Internet access too. Someone's got to fiddle with the account so I can do this. I was able to download stuff fine on the old phone, which used just plain ol' text messages... |

| Wow, are you ever deluded, JaCory. A lot of musicians don't make shit off their albums. The royalty rates are criminally low, and labels expect artists to repay whatever money they advance to the artists. The greedy bastards run the labels. What do I do? I download stuff I wouldn't buy, even if I couldn't download it, or something I'll buy anyways. Once I buy it, I toss the MP3, assuming it's identical (as in, not a different remix). So long as you do that, I can reconcile my downloading, but don't do it for the wrong reasons. |
