Also, at the end of Dogma...
Spoiler:
When Rufus tells Jay that if he cleans up his language, he MIGHT put in a good word for him too, Silent Bob sez "Thanks." Jay twaps him.

But yeah, he only gets one or two lines a movie. And Clerks made him a smoker, too.

I'm with LostAuzzie... the pacing was a little off in those moments, but it was basically a really good shotgun blast o' FUN. There's all kinds of things you'll pick up on, no matter what age you are, and a lot of stuff that only the older people (like MEEEEE) will get.

I'm pulling for the Bosox, obviously. ;P Think they can do it this year, too. Sure, the Yankees are on a hot streak, but they're running Quantrill and Gordon into the ground, and their offense really wasn't the big problem. A-Rod for Soriano was basically a wash (moved the hole from 3B to 2B) production-wise, and Jeter's still been playing like a Giant Pile of Suck. Red Sox have held their own without Nomar and Nixon (the former meaning Cesar Crespo actually gets to play, unfortunately, and the latter has Millar playing out of position), who should come back quite shortly. Not only that, but their pitching is insane. Lowe just needs to keep his head on straight (Derek, do the words "contract year" mean anything?), but more importantly, we've gotta stop playing to the level of our opposition. There's no excuse for us not sweeping the Royals.

Oh, he'll make it. They won't fire him. I'm sure they'll reprimand him, probably axe his push early... but no firing.

Nice... the level ones are a bit much, and I wouldn't use the mushrooms in THAT situation (although they are good), but I'm feeling the roads, coins, and Fortress.

Well, there was always that bit about him snapping and teeing off on the German crowds... let's see, someone who's pushing themselves way too hard and endangering their health? Someone who goose-stepped and hailed Hitler where it's against the law to do so?

Heh... I think at this point, everyone's piling onto the Pistons bandwagon that isn't a Lakers fan. Hornets fan here, and this is probably the last time they'll make the playoffs in my natural life now that they're moving to the Western Conference. So it's just good old-fashioned Laker hating on my part. Tired of everyone fawning over SHAAAAAAAQ and praising Kobe for his heroism... uhm, he's still on trial for rape, right? And Shaq could basically sodomize someone on the court (I think he might try that in game 4) and they'd call the Pistons for a flagrant foul. But the good news is besides them, they have NOTHING.

'Sides, I've gots ta pull for UConn hero Rip Hamilton. ;P

Okay, I'm not going to ask if anyone's watching this, because I know all y'all bitches are. Second season now, and they've made some changes. The premise, if you don't know:

* A bunch of judges go around to eight cities, holding open calls for comedians. They invite 40 to NYC.
* In New York, the 40 gets whittled down to 20, who go to Vegas. They get reduced to 10.
* Those 10 comics live together. Hilarity ensues. They also vote for who they think is the least funny, that person picks who they think they can take, and they do routines. Audience (no, not YOU) votes. One goes home, the other... goes home. Pick which one goes where.

In other words, Generic Reality Competition Show. But it's Fucking Funny. F'rinstance, one guy (Chris Voth) did a bit about one of his friends who, and he knew he shouldn't mention him, but he's a little... (holds hand in front of him, shakes it a bit) He's got Parkinson's. (ba-da-BUM)

Anyway, there's some CHICANERY. Two of the finalists have a producer as an agent. The judges also are very familiar with some of the comedians, too. A couple of judges walked out of the round of 20 because a couple of comics tanked, but got moved on anyways.

Since the site I've been using to download this stuff is insanely slow, I'm in need of help. I'm tyring to find a site where I can download marquees, control panels, etc. for MAME. Basically, the extra artwork made famous by MAME32. It has to be free, because I saw that a lot of 'em are on fileplanet, and I ain't paying for that. I'm using mamehot.net, which is now really slow (and I don't know why). Thankfully, I got all the flyers already and the first 11 sets of control panels.

Hunh. Turns out I already HAD a free account anyways. Already got all the cabinets and I'm halfway to the screenshots being done.

Now I wish they had MORE available there... the only source I found for the marquees other than the slow site was one big ZIP file. Yay for Getright?

I just wish that the sites where you got some of these add-on files were more forthcoming as to what they do... I refused to download hiscore.dat until I found out what it actually DOES. Anyway, this thread's outlived its usefulness, so I shall close.

(Oh, and EasyMame 3.1's got a really annoying bug. Once you play a game, you won't be able to play it again. You'll get an error about the time played not being a valid integer. Already notified the author. )

Back when all I had in my car was the radio, I'd stick to just University of New Haven's station or ESPN Radio. Since I got the CD player put in and the local "new rock" station (which was pretty much crap anyway) switched formats, I haven't listened at all. Don't need them to find out about new bands, and if I find one from them, it's rare that I haven't already heard of them.

Gail's certainly not bad - the good thing is that they're actually giving her GOOD submissions to work with. The Cristo (headscissors into armbar), the Stretch Muffler (what she used tonight against Stacy), etc.

(schnork) Wonder if Brock was watching this. And he thought it was bad enough when Kidman bragged that he could do the F5 if he wanted...

Haven't seen the Cristo yet, but it sounds badass. And isn't there a counter to it called the Judas? Unless they're trying some dry humor at the W...

Bella: Yup, Tough Crowd's on Comedy Central. And he's got a guest spot in... some movie. I think it's Cellular.

Anyway, some more detail on the aforementioned CHICANERY: Cringe Humor has a post revealing how it all went down. Look for BeantownComic's post... it's the fifth one. Here's a bit of a teaser:

Spoiler:
He told me how the show was exposed when Bret Butler and Drew Carey walked off the stage, divorcing themselves from the process, when they figured out the show's outcome had been already decided and they were simply window dressing for the cameras. LCS quickly apologized saying they had indeed screwed up by not telling the two celebrity judges how things were done, but that really wasn't the point.
