Meh, I dunno. I never worked hard in school. Everyone said I reminded them of "Sponge" from "Salute your shorts" because I never paid attention in school, yet I got A's on everything.

Even at the University of Scranton, one of the highest ranked universities in the US, I barely paid attention at all, studied very little, and still managed to get decent grades considering how rarely I went to class, how little I studied, and compounded with the depression I was going through at the time.

I look back and laugh at it all. Tee-Hee!

Yeah, some of us are just lucky.

This has been my last year in high school. The amount of time I spent actually doing schoolwork can be summed up quite easily with the words "Jack" and "Shit", yet my grades are the best that they've ever been in any of my years in school. I'm so "American" (read: Fat, White, Lazy) that it goes from not even being funny to being fucking hilarious, yet I do perfectly fine. This *may* be because the American education system has been on a steady decline (in my opinion anyway) since the No Child Left Behind Act was passed, or I could just have really good information retention and processing skills.

Considering I can't even remember what I ate for dinner 15 minutes ago, I'm guessing it ain't my brain.

This is all I've heard from some of the Seniors I know at my school too (myself being a Junior).

In fact, I've pretty much heard exactly that. I have a friend who does almost NOTHING at all, and just by the type of person he is you can quickly tell he is ultimately lazy. Yet, he holds about a 3.4 GPA, straight B's and A's, when he hardly does any work at all.

Junior year is supposedly the hardest year from what I hear.

I can say it was definitely harder than my Sophmore year, but still nothing near impossible. It was just all the assessments, and ACT's, and things like that that I think made it more of a "stressfull" year.

I'm looking forward to my Senior year though, all of my friends say it's great.

Edit: Yes, overall it's probably the American Education system. I've heard some very crazy things about schools in China, and what they could be learning in like the 2nd Grade. (Algebra? Maybe that's far fetched, but I'm pretty sure I've heard they have some seriously advanced teaching there)

I have nothing to say, other than I'm a little confused here.

Well I guess Progressive Rock [Pink Floyd according to you], and Progressive Metal [Stratovarius / Symphony X] are "quite" different.

Ugh, why don't we just make a spoiler thread? It seriously gets old having to highlight all of these.

Anyways, I saw the movie yesterday, and I was enlightened to a new level. The intensity in this movie is truly something else.

Whatever, time for the real talk. (And I can easily point out the biggest plot mistake)

Spoiler:

- Overall I think Hayden greatly improved from Episode II, in fact his only "cheesy" dialogue parts were with Padme and their goofy love talks. (They were horrible)
- But who did I think did bad? Palpatine, seriously. For myself, and my friends, we agreed he either did "Fantastic" or "Horrible". When Mace Windu had his lightsaber to his neck, and Anakin came up and Palpatine says "Nooooooo, Noooooo", he looked and sounded absolutely hilarious. He had some really cheesy moments, but then some awesome moments that just made me picture him from Episode V and VI.
- Grevious should have been better. Four freaking lightsabers? And he was ended that quickly? I was a little dissapointed with this character overall.
****Ultimate Plot Goofup****
- Think back to Return of the Jedi, and when Leia and Luke had their talk on Endor, and look reveals that they're sister and brother. Well in this conversation Luke brings up their parents, Leia says that she remembers her mother, and that she was beautiful. Now, according to Episode III, how exactly does this work out when Padme dies right after child birth? I can believe that Leia may be thinking of Organa, but still that birth part wasn't put together very well. My friend says Luke and Obi-Wan discuss Luke's father in Episode IV also, I cannot clerify on this though myself as I can't really remember if that's true. (In other words, Luke remembers his father a bit too, thus how would it work out according to Episode III?)
- It seemed like Yoda kind of gave up on his fight with Palpatine, if you ask me, I'd say Yoda was owning up on him.
- I think the scene that hinted the very fact that Anakin killed the young Padawans was a bit extreme, and the movie could have been fine without. But, this after all a very dark movie.
- I almost felt like tearing when the "Empire" started killing the Jedi's.
- One thing I didn't like about how this movie was put together, was the flow with Anakin. You look at the beginning of the movie, and he tells himself that killing Douku is bad. By the end of the movie, he's killing people and children left and right like flies. A little HUGE jump there I'd say.

Overall this movie was great (I know I know, my complaints probably gave you the idea that I didn't like it, but I honestly did). I loved how it filled in the holes, and tied things together, from simple things like Obi-Wan picking up Anakin's lightsaber, to huge things like how the Seperists were ended, etc.

Overall, I wouldn't say it matched up to the orginals, but then again how could anything? I think it's just the flow of the New Trilogy, and the overexageration, that kind of lowered it's "greatness" factor when compared to the more believable, and more broad Original Trilogy.

I'd give this movie, probably a 9.5 out of 10. (10 being impossible, except I'd give EsB and RotJ both a 10 =P)

Yeah. I might see it again tonight.

Yeah, that's another thing I kind of thought. Since, who knows, that kind of "ability" runs in the family or something?

Nintendo DS : Yeah, the duels in this movie rocked. And I think it's safe to say the Anakin - Obi-Wan duel lived up to it's hype. (The music made my hair tingle)

In fact, didn't they even die in the first episode? ...

As for Leia, Bail knew Padme, so he may have had pictures and told Leia stories about her when she was young.

And Xeodious, about the "HUGE jump", it shows how easy it is to fall completely to the dark side once you start down the path.

Trust me, I put thought into that too.

Once you're in [Dark Side], you can't stop the fall.

Anyways, Anakin still does keep true to the prophecy by the end of VI.

Ever hear of Gametrailers? ...

Chronosphere-X: In the older trailers, with gameplay, it seemed more like Chrono-ish to me. The characters entered "battle mode" when they ran into a monster or something, but didn't go to a new screen like most FF's.

But yeah, I can see the resemblance with Vagrant Story. Also, does anyone know who's doing the music for this game?

Sure, I'm sure most of you are saying "Duh, Nobou", but after hearing this new trailer, this music reminded me a lot more of Vagrant Story and FFT, than FF's. Afterall, remember this game is being made by the same team that did those games (as well as Mana, etc).

Mario + Old 2D roots = God's right hand.

Ever since I saw old pictures of this game when it was first announced, I was hyped, but now with all these pictures and that awesome trailer, I'm sold.

It's probaly be a good game, for the current sickely-DS library of games.

*Just got back from seeing it the 2nd time.

Holy shit.

Wow, I think it was better than the first time seeing it. The Anakin vs Obi-Wan duel almost made my body explode (I was tingling). And I now have to say, I really think it did capture the same feeling and same emotion that the Luke vs Vader duel at the end of VI had too.

What didn't you like about TWW, by the way? It had the same style as most of the other games (unless you're one of those "omfg celdaaz rolf kidd-e gfx1" things).

omfg celdaaz rolf kidd-e gfx1

Well no, but do you seriously want to get me started? I mean, it's my opinion. I thought it was a bad game, isn't that simple?

Well, even though I wouldn't "prefer" Cel-Shading, that didn't prevent me from buying this game when it was pretty brand new and playing it.

But, in all honestly I did not like the theme of the game; the boat, the constant drifting, the game was utterly short and utterly easy, the storyline just didn't seem "cool", the music wasn't memorable when compared to say OoT, or MM, etc etc etc ...

I mean does it really matter whether or not I liked the game? I guess I can understand explaining myself as to why ...

But seriously, I liked MM a lot, when most people hate that game. So, I just differ with what I like I guess. To me, in my opinion, TWW was dissapointing.

I will admit the gameplay and new gameplay elements in TWW were nice. And it's even said in the 30 minute Preview Discussion video that this game is actually using the TWW engine, just ... heavily modified.

I usually get only about 50kps when downloading torrents or so, when I know people who get around 200 on average.

You mainly have to tweak your ports and connections, so that you can get them faster. I never did it myself, my dad would probably eventually somehow magically find out and get pissed (he deleted bit tornado on top of that).

That's all I know for more advance talk, but yeah, make sure there's actual seeders when trying to download something.

...
Spoiler:

I remember when the Episode III trailer first released, and it scattered over Suprnova, there was 1,000+ seeders. I've never seen that since. =P

The only reservation I hold is that in an interview with Edge Magazine, Eiji Aonuma said that like Wind Waker, they'd be using the large open spaces to contribute to the grand feeling of the game. I'm worried about this statement, because the ridiculously long waits in WW did not make the game feel any more legendary to me, it was only a gimmick. I hope they think long and hard about how best to use the open plains, like Hyrule Field in Ocarina.

So, you saw the 30 minute video? I remember them saying that field where Link faught off those enemies on the "horse" was only like 30% of the majority of the Hyrule Field.

Well, I don't care how big the Field is and how empty it is. That's just one of the things I think lacked in TWW and took away that old "Zelda feeling"; having a huge landscape to cover on ground.

In older Zelda games, you walk, a lot, everywhere. And it was fun (especially Link to the Past), and I think OoT took that into the 3D realm perfectly. I enjoyed walking around, on foot and exploring the large lands of Hyrule.

I don't know, maybe that's just me, but that's how I've always felt about Zelda games and there "large open areas". I don't mind them a bit.

Yep, as many of us have already said that, Anakin / Vader does in a "sense" still fufill the prophecy.

A fact though, he couldn't have done it without Luke's help.
