I'm sure the story here would have been different if Nintendo were to simply go with CD's, over cartridges "again".

I remember one thing I hated, was that brand new N64 games went about for $70 because the cartridges alone were like $5 to produce, compared to the what, 5-20 cents to make a CD?

But yeah, I think this topic has gotten a little too off-topic guys.

I wouldn't doupt that statement, since I've only heard some of their newer albums "V" and "The Odyssey", so maybe their older stuff isn't so great, or something.

Well I'll be taking the ACT here soon for all that fun junk and Collage.

I went ahead and signed up for the Writing assessment too.

Anyways, basically and in general ... what can I expect? Any tips?

April 9th is the date of the test from what I've seen. I just registered online today myself.

Anyone else taking these tests soon?

There's just such a big deal around these, and the SAT's and other exams and such. I just guess I want to know, should I relax over this and just look over things here and there, and take it easy, or really get prepared for a challenging task?

That is pretty sad.

All I kew beforehand and before reading some of those pages, was that Mac's definintely changed the way computers themselves "looked", into something actually nice and attractive. (Or something, weird way to put it , of course there's more ... but, just generally speaking ... uh )

But yeah, well he made an impact on our society.

The Mac did change computers - that's why I wrote "I think that without Jef we wouldn't be doing this today".

Jef had a habit of trying to claim he invented everything. From what I've seen he did indeed detail a lot of the things in writing, but a few of the things he claims he invented had already been invented previously, like the mouse and some parts of the GUI.


Yeah, didn't Microsoft themselves actually invent the first mouse?

(I just recently did a paper on MS, for the hell of it, last I remember in a timeline I looked at they were the first to put one out)

I'm honestly not the best test taker, really.

But I do find most exams and State assessments to be pretty easy (they're always easier than just the class tests and such).

So yeah, hope that luck is with me.

from what i recall when i took it, the test itself was rather easy, it was the how loooong it took that really made it suck. By the last section i really didn't care what i put down, i was just getting so anxious to leave... really more of an endurance test than an intillectual test.

I have trouble sitting still or concetrating for long, so the test was basically torture. I wish they could split it up into different days, i'm sure everyone in my boat would do a hell of alot better.


Yeah, I read over the preperation at actstudent.org, and it sounds like the tests goes on from about 8:00 AM, to 1:30 PM. Yay ...

Honestly I didn't have a problem with FFIX and it's dialogue, or any SNES RPG.

If you haven't played Xenogears, an Arc the Lad / Lunar / Working Design games, then you haven't seen long dialogue at all.

Anyways about this hack ... yeah. Honestly, I'm not a Romhacker at all, or anywhere near it, but I've been following the community for nearly 4-5 years (around the time Super Mario Bros 3. Challenge, was new, and all the rage ... and it's still badass if you ask me), graphic-only hacks have, never interested me.

And seriously, you won't get very much creditbility. In a matter of a few days, I'm sure almost anyone could simply switch some graphics around here and there, replace some and put new ones in.

Unless you're doing an entire and COMPLETE gfx rehaul, I'd seriously insist that you just ... save your time and effort.

If you can pull something out like Uchiha Itachi has, with the amazing looking Lyra Islands (please don't completely cancel it Uchiha ), then I'd reconsider what I just said.

But really, if you're just messing around with sprites, I personally wouldn't be too interested in playing the hack.

Just giving you my thoughts and criticism to hopefully help you out.

Well for the Java applet here (going to the IRC channels through the board) I sometimes just ... simply can't connect.

Then the next day, I probably can.

There's not really much I can explain, it's just basically "Sometimes I can connect, and sometimes I can't."

Anything that might possibly help out? Or should I just get mIRC or something?

The usual error:
"Unable to connect: java.netNoRouteToHostException : Operation timed out"

Probably something to do with my ISP or something. (SBC...)

I've had it. I've wasted 2 years of my life posting on these Acmlmboards, and my own. I've had 3 boards, all have ended up being fucked over. Xeogaming, twice. It's not even worth it.

I had recently fixed up several things, with multiple help, from even JESPER himself, but I guess it just wasn't enough, and it's just a fucking blast, to fuck peoples boards up.

C) So, put a backup up?

PMA never worked correctly for me for backing up files, whenever it was switched to my own FTP and setup.

Seriously, whoever the fuck you are, Fuck you. Fuck you to hell and back.
