Seriously, that seems like an excellent idea for this place, Acmlm's Board.

Something I've always said:
Staff should not be a right, a want, or a need. Being staff is a privelage.

Yiffy Kitten has clearly given us some good points. But I'm not taking a side, both sides are argueable. Seriously though, what will this achieve? This thread has dragged on enough, and clearly states a fact. Something on this board is messed up and needs to be worked with.

After reading the logs, the way staff was handled does seem a bit odd. But I must ask Yiffy Kitten, if you wouldn't mind, a few questions.
Why did you post, contribute to Acmlm's in the beginning?

Why did you continue?

Was it to have fun? If so, then being staff shouldn't be the most important thing here, which you've clearly stated isn't.

And a question for the other side.
Even if the majority of the board were to vote for "Strongly Agains't" a staff rehaul, would that have really mattered? Would you have continued with it anyways?

But Yiffy Kitten makes good points that both he and ||bass paid for this place. Doesn't that show a strong line of support and dedication?

Basing staff off of posts is also a little lame, but Colleen and others have proven that wasn't really the entire point.

Both sides are completely argueable.

But as I said before, this 7 page thread (and going on) is nothing but solid, and elite proof, that this board is in a situation that cannot be left alone, and should be dealt with, finished.

When I first read that I was given the impression that a "staff reconstruction" is the pure norm, and happens often here.

It sounded funny.

But after thinking about it, you prove an interesting and good point.

Nobody should expect to be staff forever.

For the record, I am Christian.

But I could really careless.

Not to mention I hate the state the church (as a whole) is in now. So, I don't care to attend church as often, or just don't; like I have been for months.

Maybe it's just me, but this FPS is just looking to be -Ok-.

At first I was really excited to hear that it was going to be a spinoff and take place in the same world as the Deus Ex games.

Next thing I hear, the developers, and Eidos themselves threw out that plan and say "What, are you crazy? This game has NOTHING to do with Deus Ex at all?!?!?"

It made me sad.

Spiderbots are in the game, hmmm?
The main character is heavily ... "augmented" ... hmmm?
China looks really familar, hmmm?
Music sounds like something you'd hear in Deus Ex, hmmm?

But from the trailers it truly does look nothing like Deus Ex, other than some outdated game possibly with the same engine as Invisible War.

I'm suspecting the new developing team wants this game to be "Blam, bang, shot!, shoo!, boom!" instead of providing a rich and deep interactive world that the two Deus Ex games preserved.

It looks worth a rent, but I seriously doupt I'll be dishing out $50 for it, unless I'm completely proven wrong when it comes out.

Yiffy Kitten: Sure, I'm not that original to this place, only have been active this past year, but I know you've had history with this place, it would be a little tame to see you go. I'd also say reconsider, in the end, nobody ever said you "Had" to leave.

Edit: Not sure if "Tame" was right for that sentence. Meh, my grammer's hell.

"Can you ... give ... me my stapler ... back ........ please."

"Ummmmmm, yeeah, I'm going to have to have you come in a little early ... yeeeah."

"Ummmmm, yeah, it's Me again, maybe you just forgot ... but we're starting at 9 today, it would be good to have you come in, yeaah."

Meh, I couldn't really think of any other good quotes at the moment, but this movie does indeed rock.

Don't want to be a fanboy bitch or anything, but I'd say Spaceballs is a ~little~ better.

Still though, I'd give this movie a 4.5/5, easily one of my all time favorite comedies.

Although not exactly related to the topic fully, I just want to throw this out here.

I absolutely hate homestar runner and have no idea why people think it's funny.

Am I a criminal now?

Trogdor was fun, the first time I watched it. Other than that, that place just amazes me with ... nothing.

But I guess for those of you who like the place, cool beans.

Just my opinion. Not trying to be too negative, I've just gotten tired of the Homestar Runner hype.

She was getting this sneaky idea to fart in front of me, but she didn't notice that I had fallen back a bit b/c I had to fiddle with my umbrella for a moment. So this girl walks up in front of me, I'm not paying attention, I'm like 15 feet behind her, and all of a sudden I hear "ahh ahh, here it comes, and a farting." Then she looks behind her to see some random girl, the one who had passed me. Horrified and confused, the stranger takes off, walking really fast to get the hell away from this girl who likes to fart on people. My friend was just catatonic with embarassment.

And Kyouji, there is no indication that Trapster didn't understand the car was parked. If anything, Omega's post makes no sense. "tossing a penis"? Ouch.

xfreakingd.

Hehe. ;D

Well, not exactly funny things that I've seen involving people, but this just happened today.

So my parents picked me up early from school because I had an apointment clear across town, about a 30 minute drive into the big city. Well when we got to the city (a small city here, where all the buildings are together like old houses, etc) there was Kids Toy store on the corner. Over about 2 buildings from this Childs Toy Store, there was another, "questionable" Toy Store. First thing I noticed in the very front window were a few statues, then ... your usual "rubber toys". I kept my cool and stayed casual, again I was with my parents, but I almost felt like laughing out loud.

Then on our way back I saw another place that was called something like "Sweet Desires" or something, kind of amazed me, these places seem rather common in the city areas.

Well this is probably what I'm going to go with, I know, spare the drama.

It's not that much different, other than this actually looks the way it -should- in Firefox too now.

I'll probably put an anime / videogame character to the right of my textbox in due time, just need some ideas ...

How much ram?

Meh, I was going to say try putting XP on it ... but, I'm afraid a 500+ MB HD isn't going to cut it.

(I put XP on this crappy computer myself, Anthlong 333k+, 128 SDR ram, 10 GB HD)

It's kind of weird, I kind of thought 'those' kinds of things would be pretty 'bad' or illegal in the US, since they're such a big deal here. (adult stuffs, lolz)

Sell high leveled everquest characters.

That reminds me.

My friend made a good $120 off of 'selling' his unused account that he won for something, while the game was still in beta testing. (I'm thinking WoW)

$120. Jeeze.

One of my all time favorite Ebay items was a ziplocked bag of 'captured hurricane air' which finally sold for about $150+, just wished I would have bookmarked it.
