I think the range depends on the game too sort of. I dunno how far away you can be with Pictochat.

GBA can play movies too, althought not high quality ones. And I think there is a MP3 player for GBA too...

From what I'm reading right now in my newest GI, it's the "GBA Movie Player V2.0", some name huh?

But yeah, sounds like you can watch movies, play mp3's, and even download ebooks to the handheld. Says a flash card is required though, but not recommended. This thing goes for $24.99

Says you can get them atlik-sang.com.

I'm sure they'll make something similar to this for the DS, but of course would probably be superior.

I've played it a lot at a friends house, definently the best action oriented FPS I've ever played.

The engine is incredible, even on the lowest settings it still beats a lot of games out there, even newer ones.

The ending is intense, and after watching my friend beat it, it's safe to say the Half-Life series will more than likely continue. (spoiler? Nah, it's not a horrible cliff hanger like Halo 2's ...)

Have you gotten the Manipulator gun yet WW? Give me that gun, and I'd play through the entire game with it.

Hmm, well from reading your posts it sounds like I'd be able to play the game decently too.

I have:
Anthlon 2400+ (2.0 ghz)
GeForce FX 5200
768 DDRam

That's been my biggest concern for me about actually getting this game, the quality of what I'd be able to play at.

Well I've heard our generation (assuming you're maybe between 14-25) will live to be at least 100 years old of age.

This wouldn't be surpring though ... for the very far future.

Back in the olden days, well according to the Bible and other junk people lived to be well over 100 years of age. But then again they didn't have all these diseases and pills that some of require to live off of back then.

You're probably refering to my post.

1. My layout is the simplest at it's best, tables. No CSS.
2. The spoiler is still there, highlight under "Spoiler" ...
3. The only thing my "Quoting" did was disable the black background for the spoiler tag.
4. Regardless, the text is still only visible if you highlight it, unless your browser shows the text. Therefore I see no problem, concerning my layout.

You should know exactly what the manipulator gun is.

It's the gun that you use to ... pickup almost any kind of object and throw them at people. Totally awesome, shows off the incredible physics in this game.

Just wait until you get the upgraded "Gravity Gun" at the end.

Search around for Lewis Black's "End of the Unviverse" skit, about 2 real Starbucks stores that are exactly across the street from eachother.

Good stuff. =O

I seriously doupt that ... I've seen in maybe 3 of my newest gaming magazines (Gamepro, EGM, GI) the game is scheduled for a late Janurary / early February release.

Like Davis said, a demo of MP: Hunters comes with the system, more than likely you just saw an ad for the game.

Edit: Also I've been meaning to ask, does the DS have some sort of a sleep function like the GBA?

The Mario masked Koopa's in Super Mario World were pretty cool too. (after you beat all the Special Stages)

I also liked the Koopa's who sat in the clouds ... Nimbus or something?

Should have been more voting options. But oh well.

This game is reason enough as to why I'm wanting a GBA / DS.

And after seeing this thread, I can't wait.

Even though I have FF: Origins for the PSX, I think I'll enjoy this more. With a more altered system, extras, and probably no load times. (forgot if there were any for the PSX version? oh well...)

Well originally I went through FF1 with a Warrior, Fighter, BMage, and WMage. I think this time I'm just going to smack the game around with a Warrior, Fighter, Theif, and Red Mage.

Indeed this title looks well worth buying.

Well from what I've seen, this game has gotten a slew of bad reviews. And I haven't really liked any of EA's past Bond games ... but I will admit this one has gotten my attention.

Are the levels bigger than what they'd be like in the other Bond games?

I'm not sure if I'm going to run out and buy this game (probably won't) but I'll probably either rent this, and or Killzone to try out.

Bah, it's still good to keep those good ol' versions around. (1.337, for some older Super Metroid speed run viewings, etc)

But I'm not too up to date with emulators these days, so thanks for the heads up.
