You can use that Dash+Turn hit wall trick to get into the 6th Dungeon before you have the hookshot in the Dark World.

I also have had this page up for awhile of screenshots, with me successfully doing the Dark World + Light World combined trick, that basically messes up the graphics in the game. It's pretty simple to do if you've done previous tricks. Get into the Dark World at the first chance you can (being the Bunny form, before the 3rd Tower in the Light World). Once you're onto the ground, go all the way to the bottom of the map. At the creek there's a trick to where you fall into this area of deep water and transform somehow back into Link's regular form. (Very slightly northwest from here. And I mean, inches up)

1. Specifics on changing Bunny Link to regular Link.
2. Mixing the worlds together.
3. Best Zelda glitch site ever.

Looking over those, I guess I wasn't 100% correct. But yeah, I've done it.

Here's my archive.

Posted on 11-24-04 03:01 AM, in Ehh.. Any good free servers to have a borad on? Link
The only freeshit server I ever used was Lycos, and it sucked. Lycos ads consume the board, slow loading, crappy site management ... etc.

If you can find your way around people with connections, you can sometimes get yourself free stuff ... I have. ms-mod.com, it's not much at all and I only ran a board there for a week or two since the bandwidth limit was only 500 megs (considering Acmlmboards use up a ton of bandwidth easily).

But other than that, there really aren't any good free-hosting plans out there for an Acmlmboard or anything.

Posted on 11-25-04 08:19 AM, in Videogames "Growing up" Link
(This isn't specifically about videogames, it's about their market and involvement in the economy now and such, so I figured it could go here, if not feel free to move it...)

I really didn't mean the topic of this discussion to be like this, guess I should have been a little more clear ...

I was stating videogames are becoming more mainstream, more common. No longer are you a "nerd" because you might own a videogame system, or might have a Gameboy or something. Videogames are becoming perhaps the biggest form of entertainment nowadays. Developers who make games that we play, good game or not, if it sells, the bringing in the money.

But since this topic has become something else, why not ...

Karadur, I really don't know how you'd see Doom as such a violent, or uneasy game. I played the game at a friends house when I was in Kindergarden, and it did not scare me, make me want to "go out and shoot people" or make me sick from all the blood, because I even at a young age could easily use common sense and determine reality from fantasy.

But games these days, are different. If you were just talking about Doom 3, then yes I could agree to you at some point. There are parts in that game with bodies hanging on the ceilings and being stretched apart with there innards hanging out, yeah those parts were a little disturbing.

I still think the whole contreversary over the rating system is just simply plain out annoying. I mean I again, was playing games like Resident Evil and such in Elementary school, and I didn't have a problem with them. And it's quite annoying, especially last year when I was 16 I would be able to drive up to Gamestop, but wouldn't be able to buy rated M games. Doesn't matter what game it was, even if it were Halo, which on my opinion isn't so bad compared to other games, they wouldn't let me check them out.

I don't know, I've just naturally grown up seeing and playing violent games, without a problem.

And the GTA games, are not the worst games in the world. Maybe I just haven't looked too deep into the game but I remember my mom saying once "No you can never have those games, I hear you can take a hooker and rape them!" Bullshit entirely ... no where in any of those games, do you "rape" a woman or anything. San Andres has a lot of profanity, but just look at all those movies out there.

On games with "eye candy" for selling I think it just ridiculous. DOA XBV? I know someone who had it, and he brought it over to my birthday party. For about 5 minutes it was fun to laugh at, other than that I basically said screw it and went back to Halo. No offense, but truthfuly if any of you here buy a game for this kind of thing for 50$, that's just pathetic. I won't go into any more detail here because I think Zem perfectly summed this factor up.

Game quality has diminished over time, that's why these days I only look forward to the huge titles, like Halo, Metroid, Zelda, Mario, Final Fantasy, mostly a lot of series that have been around for awhile, because if there past games have been good I'll know they'll be worth it.

Just my 2 cents, I guess.

I'd highly recommend ... Rahxephon, if you haven't seen it.

Dubbed or not, it doesn't really matter. The dub is nicely done. To this day Rah stands as probably, overall my most favorite anime.

In short Ayato Kamina was growing up in his small little bubble world of Neo Japan, in belief that only 17 million people survived from this major attack on Earth, and the rest of the world was destroyed basically. It turns out he is the intrumentalist to the mech Rahxephon, that will destroy the villians of Neo Japan. He then finds himself, in regular Tokyo, when he meets a very familar face, but can't grasp at who this person may be. She finally convinces him that he had been living a lie, and that there are actually 44 billion people alive in the world, and that he must awaken the Rahxephon.

That's a very crappy synapsis of the first DVD basically.

It revolves around a deep love story, and the anime is very musically played and involved. (orchestra) There is a good amount of action, but not always. And usually the action is actually dramatic, and not just repetitve and worthless.

If you like plot twists that'll have you viewing the anime over more than once, with a good dose of mech action, but with something deeper than that, then Rahxephon is a nice choice. It truly is incredible, but you have to look deep to see the love connection.

But if you want a quick and good non-action love story, go for Oh! My Goddess. Made me tear.

I really don't like Love Hina myself. , instead go for Ayiori Aoshi? (horrible spelling). A good high school love story with a lot of chibby goofy junk. (quirky, but serious at most)

All in all Rahxephon is a 10 out of 10 anime. Regardless if you're interested in something specific right now, I'd recommend you watch it sometime ... and no it's not a copy off of Eva, I'd favor it over Eva anyday.

A little off the subject ... but don't mind me asking a question myself.

Concerning the GBA port, I've heard that the Pyramid is an actual Dungeon. Is it something worth seeing? I've never exactly played the GBA version, but I'm someone who'd like to see everything this game has to offer, so I'm just curious in what the extra level is like, about, am I missing anything, etc?

The only new additions that would be cool would maybe be the unlockables like the galleries in the FF: Chronicles port of CT.

This would definently be something to buy a DS for, but I'd rather see a Seiken Densetsu 3 port.

(They're freaking finally porting FF3j, why not SD3?)

(Linkin Park smells like rotten milk)

This would actually be a good and cool thing, it would be fun to play a DS game worldwide.

I'd say it's pretty true also, sounds familar to XBC if you ask me.

Duh, I mean Sephiroth's final form was only a complete RIPOFF of Kefka's "better" Angel form.

Hell I'd say Golbez is better than Sephy.

I'd definently do some crazy stuff to get a DS as fast as I could if there really were released emulators and stuff for it, without hesitation.

A friend of mine has an NES emulator for his Palm Pilot, it's pretty cool. But emulators for the DS? Totally awesome. =D

I'd still rather see a Seiken Densetsu 3 port though, even over FF3j.
(Note: Not over the emulators, if emulators were out ... well then it would be obvious that I could play both of those.)

I've had this problem for the last couple of years. I don't exactly wake up a lot during nights, but it usually takes me almost an hour to fall asleep at norm.

I've really never found anything to counter it, just have to wait.

And it's time for a random fact:

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past best sellers edition tells you how many times you've died at the end of the game. (hence the number next to your name)

The original doesn't keep track of anything like that. (last I checked)

(I own both, because the game is that awesome)

I would actually go for 120$-150$...

My friend bought one from one of my others friends, like 120$ for the system, a controller, and Metroid Prime. Just look out for people who really like Nintendo, they're out there. Also keep in mind some people end up having a non-working GC, so they might wanna get another one for a better price than what they'd get at Gamestop or something.

I guess..

(You're seriously doing this? The Zelda Collection alone would be reason enough for me to keep the system, which I have. Same with Prime 1 and 2, not too mention the upcoming Zelda title. But I guess it is your GC. )

Uh.

Have you even played a Metroid game?

The, original bubble doors were cool in the older ones. Then in Prime we get these weird things that sometimes glitch up and take more than 10 seconds to open.

Sorry if I was being off topic there, it's not like you guys were to begin with.
