I always liked Wario's Stadium.

No, not because it was cheap.

But it actually was a cool level, long, fun, jumps, and plenty of powerups.

This is a hard one ... since I like both equally.

But I own more Metallica albums, and they seem to have more of those "awesome songs" than Black Sabbath.

So far all my friends are pretty much doing ... nothing.

Looking at today, it looks like my Halloween will consist of mowing my neighbors yard for some weekly earnings, and playing GTA: San Andres.

As the title implies, I am currently 17 years old and haven't had a job yet. For the past 3 years I could have tried to get a job, but I really haven't. This past summer I attempted it and applied to maybe 20 places or so, many of them promising "I would get the job". In fact I got several interviews, and then nothing back. I was very productive about this too, I took notes about places, I called people back, and kept in touch with places, and got nothing but a waste of effort back.

Now I haven't really tried to apply anywhere. For one, I've gotten lazy about it, Two I'm already busy as it is with school and other things, Three I don't see it as a big deal.

Sure, I'd like to have the extra cash to spend on whatever and probably get my own car. But my parents always give me access to one of their vehicles, and I already have a fair amount of money from mowing neighbors yards, and recently it was my birthday. (Hint, hint)

So what do you think about this? Am I way behind schedule and should really look out for a job? Or is it really that big of a deal right now in my life as a Junior in High School?

Well I was going to originally go see The Grudge with a group of friends, but I guess that was cancelled because more than a few wouldn't have been able to make it.

So I don't know, I just got done mowing my neighbors yard for an easy 30$, and now I'm just sitting around.

I've never been too big of a fan for Halloween anyways, even as a kid. Sure it's great to get a huge amount of candy, but I'm just lazy and unless I'm with my friends, walking around the neighborhood is just lame.

I remember one year when I was real young, instead of going out, I stayed home and watched the Adams Family.

Is it far better than the first Paper Mario?

Sure I thought Paper Mario for the N64 was a great game, but I didn't like it as much as Super Mario RPG for the SNES, but yeah ... I know they were both developed by different teams (Square and Nintendo), so different kinds of gameplay would be expected.

But still, reading over this thread it sounds really good, maybe I'll check into it?

Most of all, getting a job needs a great deal of luck and no better candidates than you going for it. Since you have no jobinterviews, don't be picky, and apply for anything you might be capable of.
Were you trying to get a summerjob during summer, or did I misread that? Because if you were (and summer in general is a bad time to look for a job because of summerjobs), it's kinda normal no one hired you.

Yeah I was looking for a job around mostly May a few months ago, and was possibly hoping that it would continue on and become more of a weekend / part time job for the weekends during the school year.

But so far, it looks like I'm not alone... so it feels good to get this off my chest. And no, I'm not really in need of any money for myself other than "Oh if I did I could buy a lot of games and stuff I want" so it's not really a big deal to me personally right now.

But yeah I was "summerworking" myself, mowing lawns and stuff for neighbors, and now some neighbors have asked if I'd be able to shovel their driveways for this winter whenever it snows.

Going with Surlent and his ideas here with replying and making threads and stuff, I really liked Ogre's "Post Options" that allowed you to check boxes to disable HTML, Smilies, && tags, and other stuff like that. I think that's a useful option to have when making big threads or something, or posting a large image that may not fit your layout, it would save time having to post the reply and then go back into your post and edit it.

Just another idea.

And I agree with you Emptyeye, semi-what. I thought FFVII and above did have great soundtracks and all, but I really liked the music and inovation from FFIV, and FFVI more personally.
