Checkboxes would be very nice, and a possible "savebox" to where you could check and move certain PM's that you might fight important or something.

Basically phpBB currently has the best PM system from what I've seen.

Hey Kaijin, thought you might join someday.

Well welcome to Acmlm's, and I'm sure you know the whole deal on rules etc, of course.

I'm not sure about the transparency issue though, works in my layout.

(Whoops, sorry guys. Kind of lost track when you both started posting about god modding I'm also slow when it comes to Sim and take my time sometimes ... )

Xeogred quickly takes his Masamune sword and splits it into two seperate swords, the Masa and the Mune both equal in power.

Xeogred then quickly creates an exact echo image of himself bearing completely replicated attributes, the real Xeogred holds the Masa and the echo image contains the Mune. Both attacking the spikes sent out at him, and tried to dodge Copy Vision.

At the same time he looked to Mighty Kefka and laughed.

Xeogred quickly ran in front of Mighty Kefka and created a gate to another diminsion. This vortex simply absorbed the Water Wave and sealed it away into unknown quarters.

I owed you.

That was tricky, being able to absorb Fire.

Xeogred smirked.

I've had my computer since 2002. Haven't reformated it at all, and I'm pretty sure I've never opened it for cleaning.

I'm afraid, I'm very afraid ... to enter it. Could be a whole new world.

Posted on 09-12-04 01:41 AM, in FF7.... Overated? Link
Ah, something that's made me come back to post too...

FF7 is easily so overated. But I'm not going to sit here and whine about the graphics, becuase that part of the game didn't really bother me, the plot did.

The characters, and character development is absolutely horrible. Even "Aeris!" is annoying. This also goes for Sephiroth, ironically my old username was MasterSephiroth. I don't see how people can actually match Sephiroth up to other villians, such as Kefka, and even the greatest villian ever in my opinion, Luca Blight. Too bad nobody here's heard of him.

This is how I understood Sephiroth's evil scheme. He read books, thus making him evil, and then wants to destroy the planet.

The plot had so many plotholes and unexplained things, what was that part with "Cloud finding himself?" That was utterly boring, and stupid.

FF7 is really not a bad game, but it's not the best RPG ever, and nor is it even close to being the greatest game ever like many other 132,454,246,657 claim it to be.

The only thing I actually really enjoyed about FF7 was the dark urban setting, and the materia system, other tha that, it's medicore to the fullest.

And if you're going to argue that it was awesome at it's time, I would have rather played Tales of Destiny II, Suikoden, Suikoden II, Breath of Fire III, Breath of Fire IV, Xenogears, and several other RPG's over it.

Sadly it's a small album, but I love this CD by a lot.

Heavy Metal and Symphony styled music is an awesome combination. My favorite tracks would probably have to be the first FF theme, FFII's battle theme, FF8's "Force your way Through" is probably my favorite pick of them all, and I also enjoy Kefka's 12 minutes of "Dancing Mad".

Yup, FFVIII does get bashed a lot. I wish FFX was the most bashed FF. , that's another story though.

I personally prefer FFVIII over FFIX. Unlike many, I'm actually a fan of real life proportioned characters, which was FFVIII. The storyline is a little off at some parts, but I really think if they were to make an anime out of any of the FF games, VIII would easily be the best pick.

The cinema's in this game were incredible, and every single song on the soundtrack rocks. I also liked how the summons actually had stats, and levels in this game, making you somewhat care for them more than you usually would.

The card game was also a fun minigame.

My only complaints about this game are that the gameplay was a little repetitive. Draw - Junction - Summon - Repeat and rinse. There was also no real enemy to the storyline, unless you felt Seifer was that.

Other than that I truly think FFVIII is a great RPG, awesome setting, decent charactes, awesome graphics, great storyline, incredible music, you can't go wrong with it.

The biggest annoyance in the videogame world today for me is the hype factor.

"The biggest sequel to the greatest multiplayer and best PC title ever to hit shelves. Coming in 3 years."

Funny thing is, I've heard people argue on G4techTV and in Gamepro magazine that "This is why Nintendo sucks these days", because they don't give info about a game that's not coming out for another year or two. Are we supposed to sit around and *imagine* what the game will be like for months and months to come?

I find that plain and stupid. Metroid Prime 2 is going to kick major ass, and have they shown very much of that game? No, and I really don't care if they do, because maybe unlike other people *I want too see what the game is all about when I play it, and experience it*. This also goes for the next GC Zelda game, they've shown 1 video so far, and I doupt they'll show very much, but in the end the game is going to rock.

There's way too many overated games these days.

It's way too predicable to be scary if you ask me ... especially throughout the beginning of the game, I was almost unconciously running around and shooting monsters that would probably have *popped out of the corner*.

That whole appeal of a "scary game" just doesn't really appeal too me, if you want to play something scary why not play Fatal Frame?

Don't get me wrong though, Doom 3 is an incredibly awesome game, great gameplay, and has insane graphics. I bought it for that, not to "be scared".

They'd have rooms where enemies could hide around many different walls and gang up on you. (and tear you to bits if you weren't careful) Very nerve racking but nothing that would make me shit my pants.

Well, saying Doom 1 or Doom 2 didn't scare you isn't saying much, I played those games when I was like 5.

Plus, there's a huge difference in looks from Doom to Doom 3. lol

I recently added both MSN messenger and Yahoo messenger too my board, and I was also hoping maybe somebody knew what the offline/online image was for MSN Messenger or just a link to open up the messenger itself so you could send that user a messege, I actually don't have an MSN screen name, so help would be nice!

For example, AIM's link is <a href=aim:goim?screenname=$aimname>$user[aimname]</a>

Hopefully someone can help.

(PS, didn't know if I should have posted this here, in Programming, or Help / Suggestions, etc... oh well.)

The public beta is out now, and it's not all that bad.

Anyone here played it? The grappling hook is somewhat fun, but I love sliding among the ground to quickly reach the enemies base.

This is the first Tribes game I've really gotten into and I think I may buy it.

That is if it - doesn't - come out when HL2, Halo 2, Metroid Prime 2, etc, come out ...

This game is going to absolutely rock too the fullest.

I'll hopefully get it tommorow, although I haven't pre-ordered the game, I'm sure I can find it somewhere, and I do have the money.

Well, about the game. What are you guys going to play as? As in, Evil, or Good? I'm going to try to contain myself and be both good and evil, or just neutral.

I'd say one of the best things in this game is that you can actually kill off an entire village, declare yourself mayor of town, and sell off the homes when people start reappearing in the village, while you are the real estater.

Another funny fact, you can have up to 10 or more wives from what I've heard. I don't know what actual good a wife serves you in the game, since I'm pretty sure the family idea was scrapped from the game long ago.

Nonetheless, from what I've seen from multiple IGN video reviews, this game does in fact look somewhat "Zelda-ish" and looks really great.

Another game to hold me over till Halo 2.

And Coby, thats one kickass machine!

Sadly you actually might have to play on low.

My friend has all of those but an ATI All in Wonder 9800 Pro card, with 512 DDR ram, 100gb HD, 3.0 ghz Processor, and well he couldn't play smoothly on High, or Ultra High, so he had to play on Medium. So my guess is with your lesser processor and graphics card, you might have to turn down some settings.

Still, even at Medium, this game still looks incredible.

Nintendo, has far as product reliability, is the best. Sony really blows. All of the products that I've bought by them have been pretty damned shoddy. My speaker system for my TV really blows, and by saying that, I mean that occasionally they just short out. And of course, the warranty gives up after "blah, blah, blah damages" even if they were caused by the factory.

"Thinks about PS2 disc read errors..."

Yeah, I'll have to fully agree.

Well on topic, although I do like the SP a lot and still don't have one, I'll probably just hold my money over and wait for the DS. It's supposed to be backward compatible with GBA games, so that's every bit of reason as to why.

And I'd like to say, I think the PSP is going to suck. Why? I want to play portable games, not watch movies. As far as I've seen, Sony has only shown off maybe one "cool" game being MGS Acid? for the PSP. Other than that, there "big thing" was watching movies and DVD's on the system. I'd rather play games, and when I turn around and see Nintendo is already making several Mario titles, one that even looks better than Mario 64, a Metroid Prime game, and much more, that's my pick.

Hate too say it, but as far as it's looking, 3rd Parties are behind Nintendo in the handheld market.
