I'd say this poll should have probably been made with multi-voting on, but oh well.

I just personally don't have a "Number 1 Favorite". But the characters I usually use are: Marth, Roy, Samus, Fox, Adult Link, Doctor Mario, and Falcon. Really, I just seem to shift randomly between those characters everytime I play.

Well, like he just said, he hasn't touched anything after 1.92, and after that most of the newly added code was just from ||bass, Kasumi, and others, so I'm sure Acmlm isn't / wouldn't be very familar with how things have changed.

Work.

But, in a sense it's true. Since I work at Jiffy Lube (car oil-changing services), I'm always standing up, walking around, using tools, moving things, etc, so it's labor work.

That's about it, when I'm home, I just sit around.

I'd really like to start working out though, and bulk up a bit ...

We've had a fake offbrand bowflex thing setup in the basement for awhile now, but I still haven't touched it.

Yeah, well I didn't want to make it sound like I was suggesting you just "forget it and use his", so yeah. Always good to have your own code anyways.

The userpic idea is nice, I always wondered if there would just be a simple way to upload entire folders though? Because when I add things to my db, having to do with avatars, ranks, or something similar, I'll usually just have a typed out SQL entry word file, and copy and paste it all to be executed, instead of manually inputting a lot of things over and over again. But, that's me.

Still, I'm surprised this stuff still hasn't been added to the real AB distributions. One the biggest features I like about the phpBB system is the Admin Configuration panel -- you don't even have to touch PMA, or anything similar. I just sometimes wish AB's had something like that.

Ultimately serverely.

Seriously, he was my best and absolute favorite character on the N64 game, but on Melee, I completely sucked with him.

This is some good stuff. I take it you're releasing these to the public? (well, yeah )

Dcahrakos: If you wouldn't mind, I'd like to add your hacks to my AB Downloads page.

I guess if you're interested, just give me a PM with the final versions of your hacks, and I'd be more than clad to upload them unto my site.

(The Mega Hack package, heh. Yeah, basically I just took all of the "older" AcmlmBoard hacks and through them all into one package).

GameFAQ's is a good source. I usually refer to it for reviews on games.

I just recently bought another handful of games: Sonic Adventure (DC), Fear Effect, Parasite Eve, and Resident Evil 2.

I'm probably done buying games for awhile now, since I need to save up for the Xbox 360.

I've been waiting for this game forever.

One thing that's really got me hyped, was hearing several sources note "It's supposed to be even bigger than SoTN", which is easily among my top favorite games, so for me, that's saying a lot.

I've seen the screens myself, and the game just looks beautiful.

Like everyone already said in this thread, this game has already gotten so many incredible reviews.

I'll probably be picking this game up the day it comes out, and finally put my DS to some use!

The sad thing is I have never completed Aria of Sorrow all the way through, and the bad thing is I can never find a copy of it anywhere, same with Harmony of Disonance, I -always- see copies of Circle of the Moon, but nothing else for the GBA.

But oh well, I just can't pass this game up even if I haven't completed it's first entry.

Ugh, EBgames makes me mad. Apparently, they're not accepting anymore Xbox 360 pre-orders.

Updated my list a bit ... yeah, I recently bought: Castlevania Harmony of Disonance, Castlevania Bloodlines, Darius Twin, Thunder Spirits (ownage), Ecco the Dolphin, and Battletoads & Double Dragon.

My list is starting to stretch. But yeah, thing is, I work too much (that's obviously how I'm getting all these ), so I hardly have any time to play any of these games.

It's not really a choice that I have though ... I pretty much HAVE to work the hours I do, since I work at a Jiffy Lube, there's only about 10 other employee's besides myself.

Well, somehow I heard about this from AoS:
Spoiler:
Sora IS Dracula.

Is that the plot twist? Or is that even true?
(again, I've just heard that).

I'm very compelled to check this all out, but I hope you can help me out here ...

First thing, would I need anything special to be able to play these files? And second, I really need to get a Japanese Language pack for Firefox.

But yeah, you've got me interested (being a huge fan of OCremix, and everything related).

Posted on 09-30-05 06:49 AM, in The sad state of the rom hacking community Link
There are a lot of valid points here.

Although I have hardly any real material to add, I just have to agree with a lot of people on this issue. I don't think the Rom Hacking community is anywhere near "dying", but it definitely has declined over the last few years.

I was a huge fan of CGC, back in late 02 and early 03. That site got me hooked on everything. From there, I enjoyed watching others make hacks, and then decided to give production a shot myself. I got a little into Graphics Editing, Hex, finding data, and text editing, but other than that it was nothing major.

I think what Rom Hacking communities need, is just diehard devoted people. And these people deserve their credentials. I lost interest because of time, and to this day (even throughout the last year) I haven't put any effort into trying anything myself, other than just messing with already existing level editors.

I saw CGC fall, then DES and finally TEK. They all fell because of inactivity (CGC), people not giving the creators of such rom hacking utilities time (DES), and they just seem to try to become something they weren't (late TEK).

The thing I see now that really bothers me, is the people that come in and make requests. Say, someone requests a hack of a certain game, or someone requests a certain level editor. You can look at it as a few ways - People just don't care, or nobody wants to put in the time. Yeah, I think these people that come and ask such things are just asking to get told, but sometimes, there are people out there that come in with nice ideas and everything, but they just need to realize how small this community is, and not everyone is going to jump up to such work.

I just think that's one of the major things here, some people just need to know and understand, that it takes a tremendous amount of work to make a Rom Hack.

But I really do think that, for the people that do come in and really show that they're trying to learn, they should be taught by people, groups whatever, to continue on this community. That newbie there, may put out one of the coolest hacks next year.

Rom Hacking just needs the devotion.

My (probably pointless) little 2 cents on the issue.

(sorry about all the comma's and grammar, I typed this out basically as I thought to myself in my head).

This is among one of the top strangest polls I have ever seen.

Slipknot and Korn absolutely suck. Because nu metal sucks.

Cradle of Filth is death metal, right? ...

I'm a fan of Metallica and Slayer though.

If you like epic goofy videogame-ish inspired-like metal, look into Six Magics. They're quite the good Power Metal.
