I probably should have stated I'm not much of a grunge (or is it grudge?) fan ... ie. Nirvana.

I'm more for "rock, sex, parties," and all that good stuff.

A lot of these bands I've already heard about, just haven't really looked into them. Guess I'll have some music searching to do.

You guys have it easy.

I've been in school the last 4 weeks.

Though, I'm sure my school gets out a heck of a lot earlier than some.

And yeah, if you plan on going to school and working also and probably pulling in at least 30 hours a week, kiss your life goodbye (my situation).

I know this is a 4 month old bump, but since I'm a moderator of this forum you can't complain because I'm more powerful than you it's for a purpose.

I got a Computer Gaming Monthly Magazine recently, CGM, from this. So I thought I'd ask, has anyone else gotten anything?

STAGE 7!

My second favorite.
Honestly, Stage 6 gets me. That one just rules.

DooM Remix Project

Techno-ey, but truly awesome. Thought I'd share my findings.

No Protricity.

Right now I'm standing at a "This is pretty cool! -- Ugh this song sucks" stance.

Edit: Wow ... Beatdrop ... how could you.

Edit: Ghosts of Mars, now this is a good one.

If you haven't played it yet, Half-Life 2.

Even if you're not that much of an FPS fan, the physics and everything about the game are incredible.

Not really. Good example: Some of the Final Fantasy's with different difficulties, stats are just altered, and small bits of data like that.

But I guess if we're talking Adventure / RPG, you have a point.

Really though I wouldn't see the point in difficulties for RPG's out there. It really just depends on your style of gaming, like Dylan Yoshi. Just because some games require you to fight and level up at times doesn't necessarily make it tougher, but it just might not be your "style".

I don't know, I can't really put into words what I'm trying to say. I just don't think difficulties for RPG's are really needed.

Ah good news, I hope I'll be getting EGM myself.

Heh, it's good getting nothing but free magazines.
I'm still getting Gamepro's, which I signed up through some Best Buy deal thing almost over 2 years ago (completely free), and yeah.

CGM doesn't seem all that great, it wasn't even 100 pages, on top of that I'm not much of a PC Gamer myself.

And according to my friend, XBN has gone out of print, is that true?

Okay, I want to blow stuff up.

Anyways, $root is nowhere to be found in any of my /admin/ and /ppanel/ files now.

Thing is, there is something still messed up. Whenever I go into one of these directories, I'm still getting the same issue I've had. Everything seems to go back a directory, so that ultimately makes everything ... basically not work.

I'm going to assume is has something to do with either the require for function.php, and or layout.php

An example, this is what ipban.php looks like:
require '../lib/function.php';
$windowtitle = "$boardname - IP Bans";
$usebase=1;
require '../lib/layout.php';

It's really bugging me. Again, this is basically anything in a different directory. I mean, I can get to these locations, and it looks all fine and dandy, but when I get to them, it's all gone to hell.

I don't think so, but if you've got High-Speed it really doesn't take that long to download them all and save them.

I listened up until about half-way through Disc 2. Overall it's ... decent, just okay. There's some really great songs here and there, then some really utterly horrible ones (in my opinion).

I still have yet to see an OCRemix complimation compare to Relics of Chozo.

Posted on 09-05-05 05:46 AM, in Personal History: Hate & Love of Final Fantasy Link
I think if I would've grown up playing the earlier Final Fantasy's, I would have enjoyed them more this day (mainly 1 and 2). I just can't seem to get used to the extremely long amount of time the game takes, walking around, the battles, and stuff like that.

The first Final Fantasy I played was VI, through emulation. I got pretty far, but for some reason eventually stopped playing it. Then I played VII and thought it was the greatest thing since poptarts, then played IX and thought the same thing.

But, I eventually and finally got Anthology and played through VI completely, and it turned out to be [by far] my favorite Final Fantasy, heck, one of my top favorite RPG's. I love the game so much, I eventually bought an SNES copy of VI.

So, I basically played the Final Fantasy's completely out of order, just because I didn't play a whole lot of RPG's back when I was younger. The order I've played them in, would probably be: 6, 7, 9, 8, 10, 4, 5, 1, 2.

Fun fact: IV and VI are easily my top favorites. Yes, I am a gamer who can go back to play classics and RESPECT and LOVE them, even more than modern games.
(a lot of people tend to not be that way. Seems like most gamers will enjoy whatever they played first, and grew up with, etc)
