Ugh, I wouldn't recommend Yuu Yuu, but that's me.

Recommendations:
The Twelve Kingdoms (it's world is very similar to that of Inuyasha's)
Samurai Champloo
Naruto
Getbackers
Bleach

That's all I can really think of now.

Naruto and Bleach are Shonen's, so there basic layout for a plot is similar to DBZ's if you enjoyed it. Characters fight, storyline progresses, characters get stronger, etc.
(only Naruto and Bleach actually have good storylines)

I'm short, and skinny, so I'd be an Enemy Thug. Not your average Thug though, I'd be that one random bastard who comes running in with a Knife.

SSBM was great, but it hasn't been something I've gone back to and played over within the last couple of months or whatever, in which I could easily sit down to play SMB3 anytime.

Kyouji: I don't understand your Pipe Land arguement, did people "truly" say that made the game?

Honestly that was my least favorite world, but SMB3 was still hands down an incredible game.

Seems like there's weird stuff going on.

I randomely turned Raw on last night to see Hogan and Micheals ranting about each other, and I was -very- surprised Hogan was even allowed to mention "Bret Hart", whom Shawn and Vince really did screw over (pissed me off, Hart has always been one of my favorites).

Regardless, I'd like to see this Hogan - HBK match, I'm sure it'll be good.

Yeah, I don't understand ... my mom is pretty good at remaking leftovers, but whenever I do it the food turns out to be uncooked fully and just not that great.

Just guess I'm not that much of a cook.

I'm not sure if it's true, but I've been told a few times in the past that old games used to cost like $50 to even $70 when they first released.

I'm just not sure, since I was pretty young I didn't really buy games back in the day, this was very true with the N64 though (Perfect Dark, Donkey Kong 64, etc, were $70 new).

So, hope that helps -somewhat-, but yeah I have no idea where you could get this kind of info.

fabio: Well I remember a few months ago there was debate going on whether or not prices would rise with the next generation systems (I think they wanted to push them up to $60).

EA was especially pushing for it.

I just hope they're kept at $50, I still think that's a lot, but yeah it's understood a lot of work goes into making a game, but still ...

I won't forget when trading in old games was worth so much also.

Right when the N64 came out, I remember trading in Yoshi's Island for $40 bucks.

Bad move, but don't worry I recently bought the game for $12.

Prier: I don't know, I just could never get into Yuu Yuu. At first it started off kind of promising, but then (and I will probably get bashed for this), it almost seemed to turn into a remixed version of DBZ, the similarities were outstanding ...

I mean, am I the only one that thinks that?

As for Champloo, I'd just recommend it /.hack if you liked Bebop.

Sadly, I still need to check out Ranma.
I've read some of the manga, but not much. It seemed pretty good.

It should have been Gary Busey!

Okay, that actually sounds horrible.

Honestly I don't really like the Rock at all, but I will admit he does seem fit for this kind of role.

As for the Doom movie, it should have been Bruce Campbell.

Well, bundles exceeding $49.99 does make sense.

I remember I bought the Arc the Lad Collection for about $89.99 I think. Then handed over $29.99 for the huge bible-like Strategy guide.

There is a short movie that has almost absolutely nothing to do with the game. It's basically just a bunch of characters running around and doing things at the Carnival. You get to see Chrono and the main characters only for a few seconds at the end.

It's really old, and I honestly didn't enjoy it.

And please, please do NOT say that shonen follow a plotline similar to DBZ. In actuality, that is such a blunt statement. And nobody has said Fist of the North Star because the majority of the anime fanbase have seen few classics.

That said, I think /.hack should go with WhiteRose0's selections because they contain more of the 'essential' anime. Ones that not everybody sees nowadays(Although I have DVDs of every single one of them ), but certainly should. Those are some really nice definitive titles who give you a nice taste of what anime can be.

Some other necessary anime are Galaxy Express 999, Mobile Suit Gundam(you can just watch the 3 compilation movies, if need be), and Great Teacher Onizuka.

That was a bad example, but the point I was trying to get across is that shonen's all follow a similar plot style revolving around the characters and their development.

And I've seen Yuu Yuu subbed, uncut (I do not watch anime on Adult Swim, or any other kind of anime segment on TV anymore), it still didn't really interest me.

A little shift here, if you want humor, some good ones are:
- Shinobuden 2x2 - Awesome Ninja comedy, very random.
- School Rumble - You'll keep watching it and wondering why, and what the point is.
- Excel Saga - Even though it's old, it's a good series.
- Genshikkan - An anime about people who love and watch anime, and read manga.

I'd also highly recommend GTO, awesome series. The Live Action series to it is also very good.
