More info - Gamespy This is just stupid if you ask me. Streets of Rage would make the game Teen? Ugh. And yeah, Vectorman is a great replacement ... but, I already own both of those for the Genesis, and Streets of Rage is just totally fun with friends. And this doesn't really upset me, but it's been said that the US version of Sonic Gems will only contain the US soundtrack to Sonic CD. But, with the Japanese disc ... you get the original Sonic CD soundtrack (obviously) and the Streets of Rage games. I've decided I'll probably get both versions, since I personally enjoyed the US OST to Sonic CD, I'd still like to play it with the real soundtrack, and I absolutely want the SoR games no matter what. So, I have a few questions: - Where can you buy imported games? - Do I need to modify my GC in any way to play Japanese games? |

You look years and years back, and I'd say we had awesome stuff. Boston, Journey, Kansas, Quiet Riot, The Scorpions, and I could go on and on. Now it's what? Greenday, System of a Down, more crap? At least Europe is providing the goods these days. (Edguy, Gamma Ray, Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica, etc) Well, I guess my main point here is that rock / metal in the US has been destroyed. nu metal, does not count. Is Comix Zone not at the level of violence that SoR games are? Sure seems the same to me, yet Sonic Mega Collection still got an E rating (the PS2 and Xbox versions had Comix Zone). Plus, SoR is old, look at games these days and it hardly even looks that violent. There isn't even any blood. Then you've got games like Zelda, which you cut enemies up with swords, and they're rated E? So yeah, my point being ... this is just retarded. I finally got the Winamp Disk Plugin Writer, but now I'm a little lost on how to get the lame.dll (or whatever that allows me to write files to mp3 format) |
I downloaded lame through the site (in the readme for the Writer), but all I want is lame.dll, unlesss I have to install it or something? I just want to be able to use Wimap to convert files to mp3. Hopefully that made some sense, and somebody can help me here.

Thanks to DarkSlaya, I've gotten my hands on 2 of their songs. Everytime I Die, and Bodom after Midnight, both from their Follow the Reaper album. |
Honestly, I've never cared for death styled vocals, but their music is so good I'm not complaining about it at all, and the vocals are done nicely with style, unlike other Death Metal bands where they scream through the entire song with no melody. I think I listened to Bodom after Midnight more than 10 times yesterday. So today I looked them up at metalstorm.ee, checked out their ratings and reviews on Follow the Reaper and I've never really seen so many praise an album like that there before. So, I take it they're really good? Hopefully I can get my hands on that album somehow ... Bodom after Midnight makes me want to play Serious Sam on Hard. Seriously, my dad goes by the age thing like you have to do it or somebody will nuke your house. For instance, I couldn't buy Goldeneye until I was 13, hence the Teen rating. And only until last year when I turned 17 did my parents stop caring about it. When I was younger I'd always be able to convince my mom to let me buy M games, she'd always question me though "Now what's in it?" and I'd just show her the rating at the back and what it shows. Seriously, it used to piss me off. Not like I was never tricky though. I've had Vice City since it came out, and I've bought plenty of other M games in the past too, when my parents wouldn't have allowed it. They also have retard people telling them things like, you can pull enemies eyes out, and rape girls in the GTA games ... yeah. It's sad though, because videogames don't effect me at all. I played Doom when I was 5 years old, I played Resident Evil in 4th Grade, and so on, and am I shooting people at schools or whatever? No. I don't know why my dad took the ratings so seriously, it's retarded and ridiculous. And yeah, he was entirely the same way about movies. Thank god I'm 17, christ.

I just really dig their guitar style throughout the songs, and solo's. Very Power Metal-ish, and reminds me of Megaman. |
Are most of their songs that style? Or, have any other band suggestions that I may like similar to them? Not saying I don't like COB, I just really dig their style, and I'm sure there's more bands out there like them (maybe without the death metal styled vocals? ) (restricted) |
