The Staff "reorganization" last time, really wasn't that much. It was just a little shifting here and there if you ask me. And I don't even think there were applications that time?

But yeah, in 4 months (when I turn 18) I'll definitely be looking out for a new job.

I'll google them or something. I'm assuming they're from the European area though, since that's where most Power Metal seems to reside.

The joy's of being a pale white boy.

I hate sunburns, but since I no longer go to the pool almost every single day like I used to, I hardly get them.

But still, man they sucked. I'm not much of a peeler though, I just turn red and burn away. It sucks trying to sleep at night with a good sunburn on your neck, shoulders, etc, I usually have to lay on a towel or something.

No.

Unless Acmlm is specifically making the systems tie in, there isn't a simple "Command" to just convert over to something.

I'm somebody who's converted my board from Acmlm+Erk to 1.A2, trust me ... conversions are not always so simple.

Anyone who has anything to add, surely do so. I don't have much right now, but I just thought a thread like this was really needed since a lot of questions are asked again, and again.

Q: Where can I download the latest distribution of AcmlmBoard?
A: Download's.

Q: How do I add pictures to the photo album?
A: When you have the images from the users, save them as the same number as their user id. So, say I submitted a picture for the Photo Album here, an admin would save my picture as "80.jpg", and for the thumbnail picture, you just add an "s" to the end of the number, so mine would again be "80s.jpg". Then just upload them to the photo directory for your board, you're done, simple as that. (It's best that you resize the thumbnail pick though, or request the user provide a smaller 64x64 image for it)

Q: How do I edit the top links?
A: They're in layout.php. Either do a search for $headlinks or look around line 177.

Q: Can I prevent admins from doing things only I want to do?
A: To an extent, yes. I'd recommend making a new function in function.php, along with the powerlevel functions (line 46) like $isadmin=($power>=3); etc, input $isowner=($power>=4); under that. I'd recommend replacing $isadmin with $isowner in boardconfig, at least.

Q: I'm making a new page I only want staff to see, how do I do this?
A: Basically like said above, and if you're making a new page, you should surely know what to do here. You can stick if($isstaff) { at the top of the page, then an } else { die; after all the code, or (!$isstaff) print "DIE" or something like that, just depends on your style really.

Q: I'm having trouble not being able to login, or logout!
A: There are many cases for this, but you should always be sure to check your db is set correctly in config.php. Or, you may have to clear your cookies to be able to logout. This instance usually occurs when people switch servers, or get a new domain name.

Q: Redirecting takes me to weird places!?
A: Did you set your Base Board URL correctly in boardconfig?

Q: I'm getting mysql errors in the Disciplinary Tracker!
A: Refer to this thread

And although somewhat outdated, Ogre's FAQ is also very good to read over. Especially if you need help with making forums, categories, etc, and don't understand any of that.

Hmm, I seirously thought there was some "weird glitch" that made it so users couldn't go past 9,999 until somebody with PMA access fixed them or something.

I guess I was dreaming.

Or somehow, got the "restarting on the ranks" thing really mixed up.

I mean, it doesn't seem like a horrible job if you move up the ranks, and enjoy working with cars ...

But, I don't really. And I'm the "dog" of the ranks right now, doing curtosies and crap. I also have never really had a passion for cars or anything like that, but heck, I needed the job. So I can actually get a car (I use my parents cars for now).

Do you at least get free oil changes?

Myself? Possibly. I can also get in friends and people I know like a 10% discount or something.

And that reminds me, sometimes I have to go to the street to hold a sign up (I'm sure you know how that all goes). Honestly, that's the easiest part of my working day.
