I've already said it was uininstalled. Mabye you should actually read posts next time. That and Kitten Yiffer, IE has no problems with generic PNGs. Stop thinking that IE is a horrific zombie browser that renders "< |

SMB 1 GOTO**, where * is pretty much anything: Really screws up objects (? into trees, used blocks into pipes, whathaveyou) making some levels either hard, rediculous, or impassible I know that GOPO** (ther'es only one set that works, and I forgot) will activate the glitch that's usually activated by jumping on the axe and Bowser at the same time (IE, Mario changes sizes) Acmlm also found LOOP** a while ago, but I forgot that one, too.. (this is great fun for those of us who still have GameGenies, too bad I think I lost mine a while ago ) |

...and it's reasons like this that I'm glad I live in S. Nevada (where we're experiencing lovely 40F lows ) Even though our cable still goes out, but that's cause the wiring in this house sucks. |

I had written Strange Mario Brothers before that, but ditched it in favor of thinking it was another hack. Again, that's how I found my way to here (being Acmlm's ROM Hack Domain) -- smb3.darkmazda.com was the URL I had used for a while, actually... I guess Acmlm managed to get a hold of a copy of those pages and was probably impressed he made it into EGM (even if he was a top-of-the-page blip)... Other than Mario Adventure in Retro Gaming (a magizine I got one copy ofj ust to see it-- it rules) by a fan letter... I haven't seen much else about it in paper. I wonder if any other ROM hakcs have made it into EGM. I'd be kind of suprised if Mario Adventure didn't... |

Happy 1k. May you have many more before I finish this puzzle sitting next to me ("The Global Puzzle" -- large amounts of pure blue pieces != fun) As for Fyxe hitting 1000 within the next 2 years: Doubtful. Acmlm before 2005? We can hope, but unless something major happens... doubtful, too. Lots of people made 1000 faster this year, mainly those of us who were exceedingly slow when we joined (like, er, me) Seems like there's been a reversal of post speeds... Those who went fast in the beginning are slow now, and the opposite. Oh well... |

Or you could save yourself the trouble and just use both, then get 37cent stamps (and watch as next week the become 38 cents ) |

You're right, I don't like it. Much. The red/green combo was a bad choice. The fact that the page tends to crap while loading your CSS isn't that great, either (offsite CSS with a < Not to mention the oh-so-fun moving text with hover (yes, I'm rediculously nitpicky about that, especially since if you tend to link in the middle of a block of text, like, say, this, it tends to make everything change positions and forces a redraw, taking up a lot of my time while I sit there and wait for my computer to refresh the fscking display) -- one of your layouts was even worse in this aspect by making links bolded on hover, making them move even more, especially if they're a lot longer. So yeah, I don't like it that much |

Originally posted by ColleenWell, depends; if Toxic counts "Nobody" as an actual option, than Rydain faces a bit of a problem (never being around pretty much removes you from the running) The "Only use same person 5 times" rule is a bit stupid... I never liked it, since there may be someone who fits in 6 or more. That and the "Vote for yourself" thing isn't too great either Anyway, I've gone and voted. You can all maim me with bribes about putting your name in there, because half of those I don't give a crap about. |

AFAIK, Zelda 1 only has X (256?) different room patterns (which is why you see a lot of reused rooms) I don't think there's a tool out there that'll let you do whatever you want with it; for that, try using, say, Nephi/Link's Awakening. |

I really don't see what's so wrong with cheating. It's fun. It's great. There's nothing as fun as slapping on 50% speed and getting a gigantic combo on that one wierd game Hiryuu gave me (it's a puzzle, similar to Columns) There's nothing like plugging in a GS and suddenly being able to walk through walls. Why? You never know what's behind one. Could there be a giant boss that wasn't supposed to be there, but you glitched in? An empty room left from debugging days? Hidden crap? Wiping out a boss in one hit with the SuperDuperUltraMegaAttack of DOOOOOOOOOM is fun. I love it. I love having infinite ammo for a rocket launcher and blasting shit to bits. I love having infinite HP so I can run into deadly stuff and walk through enemies. FAQs and guides are like candy. Stuck? Just read one! Instant fun. I don't see why so many of you are like "OMG! " when it comes to cheating. You must not just love being able to freeze time in Unreal Tournament and read the "Adios!" message on the side of Redeemer missles, or look at the front of a Flak grenade and see a face. To be able to fire off 100 rockets at the same time at someone's head. Tons of fun. This is where people in gaming differ; there are those of us who live for these cheat codes, who want to break the fucking shit out of bonds the game puts on us. Only 10 HP? Screw that! Infinite! Then there are those of us who settle for less; we'll go through the game without everything, just for the satisfaction "aah, I managed to beat a game without cheating" or even go so far as to condemn those of us who do use them. *X-mas shrugs. Yeah, I'll go through a game somewhere. But once it gets boring, or I'd like to try something new, you can bet your ass I'll bust out the cheats. There's nothing as satisfying as beating the living crap out of a game; legitimatly you only get to draw in the fight. Plus, who said cheats make games easier? What about hardmode cheats? Cheats that fuck up the game so bad as it becomes halariously unplayable (ala GOTOIO, SMB1)? Those bad too? ... In any case, there's my 20 cents. Enjoy. |
