Also, notice how everyone else is reminiscing, and not actually wanting the change itself. You sit there and complain, but that's all they're going to do too. It'll never end. Accept it. After all, if we have to accept the fact that this place was never as good as it was before, then we should be allowed to reminisce.

That reason, Banedon, is precicely why I have some staff with me (Cheveyo, Lenophis, windwaker, and Imajin) to continuously bug me aobut this, and they can even upload things should I vanish.

Although I closely monitor said uploading.

And Clockworkz, it looks like my site's almost at 1000, too

Erm...Somehow, I don't think that would work too well...this might result in you uploading things that you don't want to have uploaded...unless you tell them to upload something instead...although I still have doubts as to whether or not this whole thing would work well...

Yes...your site will have 1000 hits soon...uh...good for you...or something...
Simple. I log onto my FTP client (<3 Filezilla), check the upload folder (/files, in this case) and if there's anything other than PNGs, ZIPs, and the ocassional PHP file (me only) then blam, it's gone.

Not only that but soon I'm going to check filesizes and types

Think about it.

Syndormes (and the ACS) are covered very well in the FAQ. As well as damn near everything else. I was suspicious at first, too, and still am, but... still. Not just because of that.

He does need to put more content into his posts, but regardless -- when you're a newbie, there's a ton of stuff out there to reply to-- remember that.

Learn-as-you-go, really.

If I can nab a copy of VB6 and tweak Gav's editor somewhat, it'll be a nice example of how things work.

A lot of the stuff is rediculously easy to figure out (Levels are always 30x11, and alwyas 1byte per object, in order, no compression) and it's always the same format.

The only thing that's got me stumped is the monster data layout, but I haven't exactly looked into it (nor can I, for the same reason I can't write QB programs on here -- the updownleftright buttons in DOS modes act like SHIFT + arrow button. And it's only them.

That's the thing. I originally had that 'submit them and added' idea, then dropped it.

Now I just pick hacks out of Rom hacking boards and add them in at my lesiure. If they don't want it shown, it gets removed.

That's because (er, the Gunbound random-rank-value-chanigng thing) the Gunbound ranks (the official ones) are based off of %'s, not actual values.

The only thing we need are the Dragon ranks (Red, blue, Silver) and we'd haev all of them (16, 4, and 1 on each rank) but if that was implimented a lot of users would be high-ranking until more people got to Kitten Yiffer's level (hell, anyone within the first 20 would instantly be a Dragon, almost anyone within 100 potss of them would be a wand, etc... the lower ranks would take more time to complete than the higher ones! )
