When you're playing an online game or the likes, and there's an option for different charas (Gunbound and RO come to mind, lol) ... do you generally only make one of your gender, more than one of that gender only, or one/more in both genders?

I generally make one of each... and for some reason the girl one always turns out better:

It was a (development/troubleshooting) cart used by (Nintendo/retailers) to check (SNESes/accessories).

I can very safely say that there is no SMW beta ROM available (nor will there be one any time soon, if ever)

More like haven't been active nor haven't posted.

And what's with this suggestion that the board may have been down? if it's related to the rankings for that day, did we all forget about a few months ago when it was less than 20 a day for #1?

Posted on 09-16-04 07:49 AM, in New Versions of FireFox and Thunder Bird Link
Originally posted by Masako
Very interesting downloads, however I use Opera, which I find to be, although banner-ads abound, much more simple and far superior to FireFox. The irony of the former statement is that along with Opera, I have FireFox as a back-up.
I agree. Except my backup is IE, only because when I did try Firefox it was actually almost as slow as IE (yes, even after a few days, with all those cache options and the such on) and the fact a new version got released the day after I waited an hour for it to download didn't help much, either.

It took longer than Opera to start up (it's very, very noticeable on a slower computer, thanks) and just overall (while monitoring the speed) slower (Opera averages around 3.8kb/s, Firefox about 2.9) ...

I don't know, mabye when 1.0 comes out I'll give it another try, but I'll stick with Opera's rediculously large amount of features like, uh... well... here, I'll just go off of Chibitaryn's post:

* LESS SPYWARE: Firefox/Mozilla don't use the ActiveX technology, which is the technology in Internet Explorer that most spyware/adware uses to get onto your computer. Simply not having ActiveX means you don't get as much spyware!

* SECURITY FEATURES: As well as having no ActiveX features, Firefox has additional security features, including Cookie blocking, to further protect you against spyware and other nasties.

* POP UP BLOCKING: All Mozilla programs have Pop Up Blocking on by default

* TABBED BROWSING: Instead of opening new windows for links, you can open things in Tabs. One advantage of Tabs is that they load in the background while you continue reading the page you are on -- so when you are ready to read the page you have opened in a Tab, it is already loaded

* CUSTOMISABLE: With extensions, Firefox is as customisable as you like. There are additional security extensions that can block out banner advertising, for example, or others that customise the way your menus look.

There are tons of other features, but these are the ones that I find the most useful. Particularly the spyware killing ones. I don't like having ads and other nasties shoved in my face every time I go to a website.

Security's the biggest advantage of Firefox IMHO. Security alone makes the download of Firefox well worth it. Then you get other spiffy features as well, like Find-As-You-Type! WEEE

Security: Opera doesn't use ActiveX either, so that's one matched.
It also has a cookie manager and several options for that stuff, the manager allowing you to view the contents of any cookie and/or delete them at will

Popup blocking: Open all, open in background, open requested only, block all. 'nuff said.

Tabbed Browsing: Opera has that, too. Go figure. I also find how nice it is to open a new one (middle click on the tab bar, bang. New tab. Middle click on an open one, bang. Closed. Very handy.) and all kinds of other stuff.

Customizable: I've never looked at the Opera plugin page simply because I've never needed to. It's already got whatever I need.

Oh, yes. Lest we forget the almighty mouse gestures, the most handy feature I've ever seen (It's how I do everything-- down-right closes, up stops, up-down refreshes, down opens a new page, etc) and I can't live without it (literally. I keep fucking up IE by attempting to do them)

Yes, there are banner ads in the corner, but they're always small GIFs ( <10kb max) and never afe flash/musical/etc/etc/etc.

In short, use whatever works.

TI-83+ basic (I made a pong-ish game, too bad that with the TI-83's text dimensions the ball was stuck in a repitive loop )

TI-92+ basic (yes, it's very different -- for one you can type in the commands =P)

QBasic (duh.)

Stupid ass e-mail spam, the kind that says "Send this list to X amount of people and X will happen." Shut the fuck up.

Racists, bigots, Neo-Nazis/Nazis, Homophobes, etc.

Otaku's, in the same sense that's already been mentioned before. Being a big fan of anime is a-ok. But....well, I don't need to go into this. You all know what I'm talking about.

People who think that being 1/16th Japanese makes you Japanese.

People who think Metallica sold out just because they tried doing something different instead of putting out the same album over and over and over again like SOME bands I know. Or, think they sold out just because they stood up for something they believed in. (Referring to the Napster incident.)

People who think I'm both angry and satanic just because of the music I listen to. It's the stupidest shit ever.

People who assume that just because the music is heavy and "angry" sounding, that automatically makes it satanic.

People who think anger is some kind of disease that's unnatural for humans to experience.

Angst filled whiney ass teenagers. If you think life sucks now, just wait until you get into the real world and you start dealing with real problems.

People who get married during or right out of high school. 10 bucks says your marriage is over before you even realize it.

Listen up because the following is one of my main gripes:
People who ask me if I'm "ok" or "alright" or ask me "what's wrong?". If I don't have a huge fucking grin on my face, it doesn't mean that something is wrong.
God damn I hate that. I hate that question so much. If something was wrong, and I wanted to talk about it, I would have talked to you.
So that means one of two things. 1) I'm fine. 2) I don't want to talk about it.
And the icing on the cake? When I say that I'm fine and they ask "Are you sure?". I hate repeating myself. Oh so much.

People that aren't true to themselves. People who go with popular opinion despite their own feelings. People who don't have the balls to say what they really feel. People who are scared to speak their own mind in the fear that someone might not agree with them. Posers, bandwagoners, and the like.

People who believe anything they see on TV.

The fact that at one point in time, MTV was actually cool. It's become to antithesis of what it used to be about.

People who try to emulate celebrities that they like.

People who are anti-military when they should be anti-government. We are but a puppet of them and have no choice. I joined to serve my country, not my politicians.

I'm not annoyed at people who are anti-American, but there is a certain line that has to be drawn here. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I respect that. But there is a such thing as going overboard. Take that for what you will.

People who think their country is the best country that has ever existed or ever will exist. And anything their country produces is the best of the best. There's no such thing as that and there never will be. Ups and downs, pros and cons. Every country has them.
(And yes, I know I used to be like that.)

People in mosh pits who purposely try to injure people. It's all fair game in the pit and you should accept what you get and all, but that's just pure bullshit when people do that.
Oh, and people who fucking do that spin kick shit in mosh pits. wtf?

People who don't know how to make use of a paragraph.

People who say they like heavy metal but when you ask them who their favorite bands are, they say Slipknot, Korn, Godsmack, Papa Roach, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, etc...
This isn't really a bash against those said bands, but it just irritates me that they can't name one real metal band. It tears me up inside for what passes as "metal" these days.
And people who get pissed off when I say that nu-metal is this era's version of 80's hair metal and I tell them it's a fad that's going to fade away. For some reason or another, they think it's the future of music. Haha

People who do this: Micro$oft
'Nuff said.

Ragnarok Online. Come on people, it's really not that great. There are other mmorpg's out there you know. Better ones too.

Cell Phones. People's lives revolve around their god damn cell phone. If you took it away from them, it would be the same as taking away their arms and legs. For fuck sakes, you're not doctors on call. Enjoy getting brain cancer you assholes.

People who thinks having a nice car makes them a better person.

Religious fanatics and anti-religious fanatics.

Catgirl fans. What of it? You people are sick. Why no dog-girls huh? HUH?!

When people show up to my house unannounced.

When I order food, and anyone who happens to be in my house bitches because I didn't ask them if they wanted to order anything.

Asshole customers who treat fast food workers like shit. They get paid to do a job, but they're not your fucking slaves. They don't have the most pleasant job in the world and the last thing they need is your shit. (I used to work at Wendy's and that's where most of my hate from humanity originates. God you people are assholes.)

The rebel flag. Despite what you say, it DOES symbolize a certain element of racsim. The south will never rise again. Deal with it.

.....

Oh, it's suppose to be the little things? Oh well, went a bit overboard didn't I? :/
But yeah, I feel kind of good now.

First applause sign of the hour day week month three-plus month period, yay. This would (I believe) mark the first time I've agreed with anything Legion's said. Go figure.

He's not nessacarily busy with it -- he's just not ... interested? in this place much any more.

Somewhat like I've been. Back then around 12/XX/03, I was probably at my posting peak -- generally steady posts.

Lately, I've been in a sort of 'perpetual burnout', returning to my previous lurker state from 07-00-01. I still remember my first thread

Generally lately I've only been replying to a few threads, ocasionally just going without posting. I don't check many forums (Craz. and LT are the only ones, LT only because it's where my bookmark takes me) and lately have stopped really checking Craz much, going back to the ROM Hacking forums. =P

Not much I'm really doing lately.

Then again, I suppose miscalaneous problems all over the place here screws up my daily life, which was already fucked up as it was.

Meh. Happy 5000. Mabye I'll hit -2500 soon

I wasn't the first one (it was 4 days with 8 hours a day ((9, 10, 11, insert correct one here) -> 5, ugh) and ... meh.

Plus in many other classes I get bored doing 3rd grade work and fall asleep. And these are the normal classes, mind you

And it wasn't advertising another board, it was an actual site, much like mine After all, when a small, generic person manages 1000 hits it's kinda a landmark Especially if it's unique hits, which my tracker monitors. For all hits, I think it's around 2500

Portugal made some stupid business with England but got many disavantages due lack of smartness in negociations.
And you fucking morons, go study some history before making fun of my country or any other one from Latin America. We know that your arrogance and alienation implies on such stupid comments. I fyou touch any history book and stop spending all these hours per day lazily in front of this alienating machine called computer, you will learn that many countries from Europa and USA only got theit richness by exploring and interfering in the culture and literally robbing other countries, you alienated morons.
That's generally a bad way to try to convince someone to read something, you know.

As a matter of fact (if that was addressed to me, which I'm not sure of considering it targets "alinated morons [who are in front of computers]" and evidently people bashing Latin America) I would be more inclined to beat you over the head with a history book just for insulting me.

your bland and childish reply just proves how dumb you are and your incapacity of giving a good argument to consider yourself right, alienated moron
[thwaps repeatedly with a History book]

Besides, if you honestly believe any US-given history resources would give any information pertaning to said exploitations of lesser-known countries, you're sadly mistaken

Also, after (re)reading that original post, ... I still don't know where you got onto that topic from.
