The frame at the bottom is annoying because I have to scroll to see a single screenshot; personally, i'd reather just have it as a BG.

And PNG works nicely for screenshots: with JPG you get compression...

Oh, and you never answered me about reviewing it... it looks kind of good, really.

As with TEK's board, I'm doing a sort of hack-review thing. I'm basically going to play them, take screenshots of them, and then write a review of them. Who knows, mabye sometime if this thing keeps going it might grow so I won't have to do everything (that CV hack is looking a bit evil right now; I've never played the game

)

Anyway, to get me to do it, you basically post in this thread with 1-10 screenshots and a link to the patch, and I'll put it under Queued [or In Progress, depending on wether or not I have any waiting]

Keep in mind I won't do it unless you ask me to (and even then I might not do it

) and I'll put what I think, so don't get pissed if I say it sucks. Heh.

Continuing, I use a semistandard rating system. Each catagory is from 0 to XXX points as follows:

Levels, 200 points...
Graphics, 100 points...
All around feel/theme/story changes, 100 points...
ASM/Music changes, 100 points...
Attention to details, 200 points.

If a certain catagory is left unchanged, say, you didn't change the graphics but everything else, it'd be XXX/600.

I really hope this gets somewhere. I like playing hacks [hell, the Strange Mario series kicked ass, and so did a majority of others], but it's just another minor thing you can go and say "Look at this hack, it got a XX star rating!" or something.

So, yeah... any comments to the ratings I fire off should also be posted here.

HH, your head's in the wrong game. SMB1 lava was merely just graphics. It was 3's that killed you on contact, and that wound't explain how he managed to get them in all 4 directions.

It was most likely a use of a rarely (or unused) object with some ASM changes.

I 'found' Lost Threads shortly after it was created (before any other posts were in it, I remember Acmlm doing the restore work and managed to find it)

Granted, after that I hadn't checked for a while... so I didn't notice the 'new' LT until around the beginning of 03..

However, I'm still pretty sure I'm one of the first 20 to find it

I used it all the time, but then again only for listening to stuff like Farewell4 and the likes.

I also made a lot of mini-games, of sort, usually with names like "Hades" or "Test Hell", where I'd throw some events in and play around with them, testing stuff. Hence the names.

Only thing Kawa's got left is the face pic, and I doubt his skills are that good. Matter of fact I -know- they aren't. Yay.

Note that I'm not perverted in makign this thread.

It's just that when I went to go grab a towel out of the laundry basket for folding (I HATE FOLDING CLOTHES., hence why I alwyas do towels first

), noo, it couldn't come alone.

On the corner, a f(*$ing bra was literally so goddamn entagled I spent 20 minutes trying to get it apart and the stupid thing wouldn't come off.

Daaamn. With SMWU I managed to screw up-- er, create an overworld (of sorts). Granted that hack's mainly just me goofing off (hence why most of the levels are the bonus music; it rocks)

Actually, I think it'd just be better to leave out the class thing; after all, you can just purchase weapons (not thta it matters right now) and go off of that.

And for the whole you-have-to-do-it-in-the-simbattle-forums part, that's just plain stupid... after all, that'd basically limit you to whatever gets put in (assuming it's ever put in, anyway) and severely limit any kind of character delevelopment or class changing unless you had enough (unit of class-change-currency) to change it... and even then.
