No, it's NOT a PNG. It's got a PNG extension, but it's really a JPEG.

Changing the EXTENSION does not change the TYPE. Arrrrrghh...

Seeing as how the SNES is a lot older than the N64 and not as advanced, no.

What the hell gave you the idea you could put N64 music into SMW?

MSN might've changed the format, then. Because it is MOST DEFINITELY NOT PNG.

THE END IS "PNG" BUT THE IMAGE IS IN JPG FORMAT. ARGH.

Anyway, ... ugh. I could put up a BMP with a JPG extension and show you, too

if you need further proof, take a look at the image at high zoom levels. It's fuzzy and wierd. That's JPG.

PNG would look EXACTLY how it looks in ZSNES/SNES9x.

Oh, btw; REMOVE SOME OF THAT IMAGE URL. IT IS STRETCHING THE TABLES.

Ah. Well, if there's still access to the database for you, change all the wootest.net links to something else [comment them out mabye? Something, please] because it tends to hang with loading for some reason [never finishes]

Bleh. Mabye replace wootest.net with about:blank or something... least it wouldn't try and load it much

I don't see anyone in the Sonic hacking community try to make non-Sonic games using the Sonic engines. So why should it be different here? Even if you're playing a SMW hack with Pamela Freaking Anderson as the main character, you're still playing SMW. The only thing you've changed is the graphics.

If you're not going to make a Mario game, then at least change the main engine somewhat. Or, you're pretty much playing a Mario game, no matter what, because Mario games have that engine. If you don't want the Mario feel, change the engine, or hack a different game.

That post deserved that

Spam is defined by the quality of posts, not the quanity.

Just because someone posts remarkably more than anyone else on a single day, it's not considered spamming. If the content of the posts wasn't on-topic, or just plain lame, content less and such, then it would be spam.

That was on New Year's, too. We had a party, of sorts.

The basic plot at the moment is that Alex is trying to save my ROM folder from the Interweb Police, so a few levels will prolly have RCR stuff.
I will NOT protect YOUR ROM folder!

..

Oh, wait, wrong Alex.

Now that I'm home, I'll set off to animate the lil' bugger.

Edit:

I think I set the delay too long, even though 10 was way too fast and 20 was WAY too slow.

Ah. Now if you excuse me, I have to go 'fix' my avatar and minipics.

I'm going to rewrite my gradient program so I can use a TRUE Xkeeper gradient.

Red -> Black -> Blue.

My origional plan was to crossfade the two so you'd end up with a much darker and less noticable purple, but... eh.

Although it will make for an interesting switch, considering that the BG of this matches 'her' hair color [the older version actually had the gradient's purple shade dead on with the brightest pixels ] and the other one will just be black there.

At least I know what my avatar for any sex change and/or Anya play time will be, eh?

//

Edit: How many of you noticed the annoyed look on 'her' face?

It's "C:\>".

Nice SML 1-1, by the way. Now if only you could change the status bar font to fit the various levels...

"Interweb". Hehe.

For using DOS for half my computer life, I'd be ashamed if I didn't notice.

This hack does look interesting, though. Are you planning on facelifting any levels, or keeping them in that nostalagic old-school format?
