Funny how this was all started by Yiffy Kitten / ||bass, honestly. But then again not.


And it's also their fault for having such shitty inefficient code.

I'm sure you all know how it started -- that joke layout I made that netted me a one month ban and, assumably, another strike (heh).

They seemed to figure out it was mostly just a joke, but Yiffy Kitten remained a bitch and followed through with the promise he made in the Profile Editing Requests thread:

Which, as evidenced by the sudden appearance of three instances of "Xkeeper" in my blocked layout list, obviously happened.

Acmlm informed me that this was, in fact, horribly coded:

So I put two and two together and made a small script that loaded that page 25 times and kept refreshing itself. Acmlm joined in for a while, I pasted the link in #rom-hacking, and the effects were pretty instant (constant "Couldn't connect to the MySQL server!" errors). The irony being they were contemplating putting this stupid thing into every page, so I'm sure they'd have almost as much of a strain...

Past that, they finally got their brains working and simply made it admin only, so that Yiffy Kitten could still abuse it.

Shortly after, I found myself unable to edit various things in my profile (after being banned/unbanned again). Turns out they added another piece of code to the board:

So, now you know what was me, what wasn't me, and what actually happened.


Oh, and for the record, the "Thank you, Acmlm, for ___________" lines posted in the staff forum were, in fact, him just making up random garbage. Anyone that has access to the code can easily find out that there is no such text in any file.
