| I got to hold one. Aside from the lame analog nub, and the fact that the square button -- while fully functional -- felt really wierd (it didn't go down evenly -- it was definitely lobsided) and the thing was just huge...my hands didn't fit well over the R/L buttons, but then I wasn't playing it, just holding. The game my sister was playing (somewhat like RO, but not as shitty and not sprite based) looked awesome graphic-wise, but seemed pretty boring overall. The UMDs could doubtably stand one drop (though with 50$ disks, I wouldn't go trying it) since they're nothing mroe than a piece of plastic with a large disk inside that contains a large hole for the reader -- which means there's still a lot of room for stuff to get in there, like water or a fingerprint -- and probably aren't that stable. Though you have to admit, it is nice... |

But, in other news, those similar hex characters may (or may not) just be similar layouts or palettes or something that may not be an error. Try checking the original Zelda 3 and see if anything like that appears. |

I had both. I have one. ![]() The old one was pretty fun (but would be moreso if I still had it, since you could go exploring via the Select and keep Marin through the game ) but the color one is pretty damn good too, and they didn't fix one of the glitches that takes you to an odd glitch world ![]() But the 000-death end is pretty nice, too (it's laend70 in my /misc/ folder, if you can find it) |

| My TC-800 copy of Opera, for some reason, displays GIFs with the proper delay (even 0.00s) -- which means that some (Like Cruel Justice/Rockman/Whiny Bitch) play so damn fast... wow. And, just as sa correction, it's 0.06 (6 1/100ths of a second -- big difference, minor error) Also note that, assuming you run 60FPS: 1 frame = 10/6 -> 1.66....hs/frame For a 50FPS PAL system: 1 frame = 10/5 -> 2.0hs/frame (hs = hundreth of a second) |

No, it was this: ![]() It's only there until you drop the tower, after which it goes bye bye. And if you have any clue where the hidden cave is, let me know ![]() (edited by Xkeeper on 03-26-05 03:52 PM) |

| That's because that room corresponds to the default "blank space" room ... template 0 (all walls), generic ground, nothing special there. (note: the template 0 part came from Nephi) And hey, it's a room with no exit. There aren't many others I've found, heh. However, I'm pretty tempted to write a (rediculously long) GS code that'll overwrite the border tiles (everything on the outer edge, basically) with walkable tiles so you can go wherever you want and not get stuck. ![]() BTW, Fyxe, if you could descirbe how you got to the empty room, or at least what ti looked like, I'd appreciate it ![]() (edited by Xkeeper on 03-26-05 04:11 PM) |

Originally posted by FyxePretty sure, yeah. Also, for those of you who have a GS (or an emulator with GS-like features) and a LA-DX ROM (or the real deal)... really long code this will put a 'frame' of walkable tiles around the area, so (as long as you stay in the frame) you can never, ever get stuck. Though I don't know if it gives the same wlkable tiles outside. ![]() Fyxe: I have an idea of what it may be, I'll look at it soon. In another note, for some wierd reason, the Level 7 regurgitated miniboss (the one that throws bombs) shows up in the middle of nowhere ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() See for yourself. (.sgm, VBA savestate) And I'm pretty sure it's 60FPS, but I'm not going to check (hell, VBA will say in the title bar (100%(0, 60 fps)) Nothing's in either one of the useless areas on the map, so mabye it was only in the GB version..? ![]() This is the room by Kanlet Castle's entrance (to the left after the hundred holes) ![]() ![]() Go left from it (using either a cheat, or whathaveyou) to that room. ![]() Ironic there's 200 rupees here. It was fixed. ![]() And yes, it is. Usually there are other parts of caves, or entire levels together... but that's a little strange, finding pieces of random areas in levels (and one part that's together) and such... (edited by Xkeeper on 03-26-05 05:56 PM) |
