Or he could just keep you drooling for a release. Most released demos aren't demo-type stuff, they're usually just the beginning of the game with the rest chopped off.

But yes, change the title screen. Arrhg, it burns.

A good choice to not support DW:TLC.

This will both help and hurt; people may be a bit afraid that someone will steal their custom GFX creations or level ideas or whathaveyou, but people who accidentally locked it will be saved.

Double edged sword, but I think it'll help more than hurt. After all, we can always banish the theives.

Think of it as an in-depth FAQ for a hack

Or, not everyone has the uber-skill level you do. Some of us need some help.

Recreate that kickass SMB3 feeling.

DW: TLC's pipes moved too fast though

This thread will take at least 100 years to hit, I'd say.

Hell, not even GameFAQs hit that...

None of the graphics are compressed; a simple tile editor (Tile Layer Pro, YY-CHR, whathaveyou) are all usable for this.

The SMB2 Discombobulator* is probably the best (uh, wait; only) SMB2 editor out there, so use that one. Good luck figuring it out though; it's not easy (I've tried, and failed, many times)

*best name ever

Original shit, and levels that are challenging but not lets-use-tons-of-savestates hard.

ASM hacks aren't really needed, I'd think.. I know a few good hacks that don't use ASM hacks that kick ass

I don't know how possible this is, but I still think it's a neat idea. You could tie it in with the above thing, and have a hack that looks like it takes place in space, in which case Mario jumping higher would make sense.
Everyone seems to confuse ASM with data. Jump height is data. Jump behavior is ASM (after all, data won't help much when it comes to accellerating his fall). I konw quite a few editors that allow you to change his max. jump height.

Which is exactly why I called it pathetic. Hell, it even beat Quest for Calitia (Zelda 3) which has been in uberdevelopment for quite a while now and looks kick ass.

The voter turnout was pathetic. Hence my useage of the word in my first post.

If nothing happens after the successful boot (no problems like strange shutdowns or whathaveyou), that'd be wierd.

How long has it done this?
Have you done anything to the computer recently?
Have there been any other problems recently?

(and as far as I know, it is bad to use that switch on the back of your computer; sort of like constantly flipping a lightbulb on and off, it doesn't like that very much)

For some reason, my pagefile will continue growing even when no one's on the computer and few programs are running.

For example, last night I went to bed, it was at 2.5 GB... woke up, it was at about 4.9.

None of the processes in the list had a VM size of over 20000kB (minus one that was at 100MB, but killing that made no dent in the PF size), which is wierd.

I know it's got to be a program, because when I had to restart this piece of shit, I watched it... right before the computer turned off it mysteriously went down to 107 MB again .

This is just a bit strange, because no matter what I do the PF size keeps going up and it's beginning to annoy me. I had to restart at least once every few hours because it'd hit the limit, then I just said fuck it and made the maximum 5 GB...

...but really, this is beginning to piss me off

EDIT: It's now at 724 running the same programs I was running hours ago. Blahrhrhghghghgh.

(for the uninformed: I'm now using XP. Better computer. 512MB RAM.)

Plan on putting any ASM hacks into it using FCEUXD? *since it's the easiest things to figure out that kind of stuff right now* Eh, maybe if you figure out how to use it, you'll put some in eventually .
It takes some time to learn ASM, you usually can't just look at an editor and whip up even a small one in 3.2 seconds

If by "hacked" you mean 'had any modifications to it', not that I've done.
