Greetings, fellow and new board members. At the old boards, my name was Matt. However, someone took that name already here, so I guess now my name is MHL. I highly doubt if you remember me but hey, it's a fresh start, right?

Well I just finished my senior year of high school, but I will talk about my classes I guess:

Fourth Year Spanish: Excellent teacher, had her freshman year. But bad cirriculum, we just watch a soap opera and read a play. Very pointless.

Junior English: Have to take this over because I had conflicts with the teacher last year (Bad ones, don't ask, it is a long story) but this teacher is good and I got a B

Freshman Biology: Hey, I'm bad at science and I never took this, so its ok. I got a B.

Economics: The class from hell, teacher was pretty cool and laid back but very challenging. I worked hard and got a B- so not too bad.

Colllege Prep Algebra: A joke. I got the highest semester grade ever in all four years of high school here. Math is my strong point so I did very well. My final semester grade was a 97%.

Yep, that was me! I had Ms. Naughtin but I foiled her evil plan and graduated from that school I'll never see her again! Anyway, that was me.

I don't think the fact that he committed suicide is funny. It's more like the reason that he committed suicide is funny. He must have just liked those legs on the hen, so long......so tender......so.......

Agh, sorry, I was thinking out loud again. Anyway, as I said, suicide is not funny but sex with a hen is pretty damn funny, yet sick.

I've spent almost $100 in the past month at Pizza Hut due to their new Buffalo Chicken Pizza. Holy shit. That stuff is heavenly. I eat it when I'm not even hungry. I just order it for take out, spend exactly $16.64 on it, oh man. It's an addiction.

Posted on 06-18-04 08:50 PM, in China Link
I just returned from China, to which I traveled because my brother was chosen to go to a WuShu (martial arts) camp in Beijing. I just thought I'd share some interesting experiences. First off, it was pretty boring because most of the mornings, my brother would train and we would sit in the gymnasium doing nothing while there is no air conditioning. That was the worst part, but we did sightsee. In Beijing we went to about 4 temples, and maybe 2 of them were interesting. Since I don't have a digital camera, we didn't take digital pictures, rather old-school film, so I can't really post any pictures unless my scanner works. Plus, we didn't develop any yet. Anyways, the food SUCKS. Stick with Americanized Chinese Food. It's better. I was so happy to see Pizza Hut, McDonald's, and KFC there, which were the only recognizable restaurants in China. Some other notes are that they drive HORRIBLY! They cut eachother off, come within nanometers of running people over, and they honk every two seconds. I really did not like the trip too much but some aspects of it were fun like Shanghai and the Great Wall. So yeah, just to let you know, there are many better travel destinations than China.

I would definately have to say those gold bouncing eye thingies in Mega Man 1. They are really annoying and take like 200 shots to kill and if they bounce on you, they take like half of your life. They definately top the other enemies in the series when it comes to pissing me off, but there are probably others that I haven't thought of.

I'm 18 years old and I've already started to notice hair loss. This baffles me. I have recieved all the bad genes. Why must this happen to me at such a young age? I don't even know what to do. Everything was so perfect before this summer. I am going out with the girl of my dreams, I have a job, a home, a car, and everything is just perfect and now this. I wouldn't care if this happened when it is SUPPOSED to happen [at age 30 or so] but why so damn young? Sorry, I'm just really scared now......

Posted on 08-05-04 09:42 AM, in Dealing with an approaching breakup but I am having doubts.... Link
Everything was perfect between me and my honeybun before she went on a church mission trip to New York for a week and a half. I believe we were in love. But when she got back, she told me she was having second thoughts about how she wants to see other guys and she isn't sure if she loves me. This crushed me. We have talked and she has given me differences between the two of us that she believes are threatening to our relationship. Here is a brief list:
- I don't really listen to a whole lot of music, and therfore I don't have a preference (she thinks I hate it, there's a difference between hating and not having a preference) while she loves it and listens to it all the time.

-She is "more outgoing" and I'm "too good". She is like the essence of good and I just disagree with her on that.

-I am a freshman in college. She is a junior in high school, but there is one year age difference.

Anyway, those are what she said but one difference comes to my mind that is big.
You see, I'm a one-girl type of guy. When I am going out with someone, they are the only girl I can think of. However, she likes to shop around 24/7 it seems like. So she's, um, boy-crazy? Maybe?

But anyways, after taking those into consideration, I think I need to end the relationship. She told me that she doesn't know wether she wants to end it because she feels everyone where we work will hate her as well as her family, because according to her, her family likes me more than her. (No, I don't believe that.) She says there are other reasons that she kind of wants to stay with me, but she won't tell me why.

I've pretty much made up my mind in breaking up with her, but just one thing is in my mind that doubts that.

You see, we are still going out "just to see what happens" and I went to her house last night.... And when I looked into her eyes and she looked into mine, we always ended up kissing and just by looking into her eyes I felt something.... I don't know what it is but I'm sure its a good feeling.

I love this girl. She's my first serious relationship and I care about her so much. Do you think I am doing the right thing in breaking up with her? I mean, I can' t take the pain of this emotional rollercoaster ride I have been in since she got back. Advice is appreciated very much, as well as reading such a long post. Thank you.

I think I am going to pick her up from work tonight and talk to her on the way home and break up with her. But I'm going to let her know that I will always be here for her. It's just the pain is tearing me up inside and I have to let go. I still love her, but it just has to happen.

This is really my first serious relationship.... and right now I feel pretty close to a pile of dung. What is the best way to get over a breakup? I know it takes long, but is there any way that will help me feel better temporarily or speed up the process?

Oh, I'm sorry. I thought this thread hit the sack.

Well I did break up with her, however, we got back together a few days later and right now everything seems just fine with us. I broke up with her for the wrong reason though. You see, I thought she was lying that she didn't like another specific guy (one that she liked before but then hated). Apparently, she wasn't lying and she really still had feelings for me but was just confused so I screwed up.

We are going to have to make it through the school year though and that will be hard being as I am in college and she is still in high school. But you know, most days I love her to death but other days we just want to shoot eachother. Yeah my feelings about her have been fluctuating. She told me that she wanted to get back together with me so bad that she was actually considering just apologizing to me even though she really didn't do anything.

She did tell me that she does like some other guys but I'm the one she chose to go out with and that should tell me something. I'm not sure if it's good or bad though. Well I'll give some more details later, I have to be up for work in four hours.

Ok,

I have created a level from scratch and after putting the finishing touches on it (E.G. making sure there are five flowers and twenty red coins) the part of the level that is the bulk of it will not load. You access it from a locked door and once the door is unlocked the screen goes black, but the music is still playing. I have experienced this before when an incompatible object was placed into the level but I'm sure there are none in this one. What am I doing wrong?

I won't get to see my friends, I won't get to see my girlfriend, and I may even have to drop out of my classes and start next Spring. I have mono. What makes me mad is the fact that my girlfriend may get it too because it's called the "Kissing Disease" and I don't want her to have to go through with it. I'm kind of worried that it will draw us apart and our relationship will deteriorate since I must stay at home for a long time. That's the rant part.

Has anyone else here had mono and if so, how long did it last? I guess I'm kind of looking for tips I guess....

I have been somewhat a silent observer of things on this board lately but on this affair, I think I should butt in......

Ryan: You stated the following in your first post in this thread:

Dictionary.com has a definition for "feedback" as "an evaluative response:"
Meaning that someone is giving you their evaluation of your hack. You asked for it. You also stated:

Please no flaming,

Now, you freaked out on some people that responded with feedback, proclaiming that they were flaming you. Let's take a look at some responses:

2nd pic: That area looks a bit too empty. Maybe you should put something in that area besides the Cobrat that's riding a Lakitu cloud.
3rd pic: Fix the background. And those cannons just don't look right.

(bottom row)
1st pic: Nice...but the koopas don't look right.
2nd pic: You put Luigi heads on all the chucks? And why is the goomba not hanging from his parachute properly?
3rd pic: I strongly suggest that you get a better Wario sprite than that. That one also looks too empty.

That's criticism, not flaming. He was telling you what was wrong so you can make it right.

Anyway, High Flyin' Ryan, the lack of any real new graphics gives it a wholly unprofessional feel. (. . . )

Once again, we have someone simply telling you some flaws.

High Flyin' Ryan, if you are coming here simply expecting to get praise for hack that is not worthy of it, you have come to the wrong place.

Now, I didn't play your hack. In fact, I haven't ROM hacked for quite a long time, but I just had to butt in here. I'm not trying to be an asshole to you man, but it just irritated me as I read this and noticed you were kind of freaking out over honest, non-flaming criticism.

Anyway, good luck with your next hack, Ryan.

Ah, good call my man!

Tacos, homemade ones. But I like to have a huge tortilla packed with ground beef, some shredded cheddar cheese and lots of slices of pepperjack cheese on top! Then add some green and black olives, some hot sauce, and you've got yourself one hell of a taco. You have to eat it with a fork but nevertheless it's great!

Oh, and if you are that kind of person you can add all the onions, tomatoes, guacamole, and all that crap on there, but I'm not that kind of guy....

FYI: My workplace is at a local McDonald's in which I have worked at for the past two years.

This is just a funny story. You see, the other morning, when I opened I noticed that on the daily schedules, my name was in the management part of the scheudle. I asked my boss if I was being promoted to manager and she said that she couldn't do that because my girlfriend works there too. Well, the next morning when I opened the manager wanted to clock me in from the back computer (as opposed to using the register) and it said that I am a manager and would not let her clock me in. So I had an idea...

I went over to the register, hit the "manager" button, typed in my badge number, 18, and then hit "0" as the password. Sure enough, it let me in! I have manager options and I'm not even a manager! This is hilarious! Now my boss can't figure out how to get it off! Maybe God is trying to tell her something? Anyway, I just find it funny that now I have access to the managers options on the register. Too bad I don't know my back computer password so I can give some people write-ups!
