Yeah, some of the facts might not be correct, and the writing might not be my best, but I finished it 5 AM the day it was to be handed in. (Hint: Don't do that.) Well, you're not supposed to do that. The IPS-file is only a patch. Track down a clean Final Fantasy rom (you probably already have one. If not, pretty much all rom sites do), then use a patching program (like Lunar IPS. Get it at FuSoYa's Niche), and patch the rom. Then load the patched rom.
