Well, in Norway, there's officially no such thing as "skipping" classes. You're either in class, or you're not. If you're not, the teachers don't give a damn what reason you had, unless it's something you're obliged to attend (field trips, military briefing, school-sponsored events, and so on). Otherwise, it doesn't matter whether you're sick, on vacation, sleeping, or staying home playing video games. If you're not in class, they note that, and if you miss too many lessons (this depends on the class, you're allowed to be absent from a certain percentage of lessons), you get a warning. If you continue ditching class, you fail. Simple as that. If you're under 18, these warnings have to be signed by your parents, but if you're over, the school has no right to involve them (unless you do drugs at school or something like that).

As for me skipping classes, it happens, mostly when I haven't finished an assignment or didn't prepare myself for a test. Attending class in either of those situations is a lot worse than skipping it. I also skip classes I can afford to if I happen to feel like it. German, for instance. You never learn anything important, the teacher is dull, the class itself is stupid and I would never want to learn the language if I hadn't been forced to, and the classes are early in the day, so I'll just stay in bed. Yay.

Well, according to this guy, all it takes is some simple addition of wire to the circuit board, and a ittle filing of the cartridge port for you to enjoy the real classic Gameboy games on you DS.
Also comes with instructions for increasing the range of the wireless signals.

No, I haven't tried it, but it seems plausible enough.

Mmm, pretty.

When did nerdiness start getting proprotional (no, that's not spelled right. I don't care) to love for math and physics? What about stuff like anime and comic books? I'm higher up on those scales.

You haven't played Wind Waker, have you? It's practically impossible to die in that game.

One thing that made OoT easier than it should've been is the fact that faeries completely fill your heart meter. They can be found anywhere, often in the middle of dungeons. I mean, there's absolutely no point in having the red potion in the game anymore.

Ouch, don't call it Fire Emblem II. We don't need another Final Fantasy scenario. This is the eighth game in the Fire Emblem series, and the third for GBA.

As for the question asked at the beginning of the thread, nope, I'm too broke to afford a new game right now. It's definitly near the top of my wishing list, though.

And no Roy. Roy was in FE6, and Fire Emblem characters generally only appear in one game (apart from Marth and the FE1 crew, who also starred in FE3, which also included a remake of FE1)

I agree, but it should also be noted that the PSX versions of these two games are many, many times superior to the horrid GBA versions, the most disappointing games (well, game, they're on one cart) I've ever played. Stay far away.

FF4 for PSX is the hard version, isn't it?

Also, FFXI is also out on PS2 (maybe not in US... meh, I don't know. I don't like online RPGs anyway), and I believe Crystal Chronicles for the DS will be a different game than the GC original (which was a bad game. Boo. Stay away from that one too.)

7th Saga.
I liked it

Also, the Fire Emblem series (again, strategy, but if you put Bahamut Lagoon on the list, you put this as well), the Glory of Heracles series, the Romancing SaGa series, Wizardry and perhaps the Ultima series, though they can't really compare with the originals for PC.

Yeah, it was about 80$ here when it was new, and I bought it. Definitly worth it.

European prices still suck, though.

We're on the fourth page, and there still hasn't been any posts mentioning the people who used to be staff, got demodded because they sucked, and then got back on? There's no love for us... uh, me.

Ai Senshi Nicol: Any game with a powerup called "Space Pants" should make everyone say WTF. Fun little game, though. Think The Guardian Legend without the space shooter parts.

Zombie Nation: I honestly can't believe this hasn't been mentioned yet. The main character in the game is "the great head of the samurai". No, not head as in "leader", head as in "body part". You play as a huge, disembodied head flying around shooting lasers at buildings.

Bare Knuckle 3 (Streets of Rage 3 outside Japan): There's a secret character in this game who was taken out of the US version. His name is Ash, and he's a stereotypical homosexual. Yeah.

Burning Desire: The main character is a naked fireman suspended from a helicopter who has to put out a fire by ejaculating on it, then lifting the girl trapped in the burning house to safety by having her latch onto his penis with her mouth. What more do you want?

Yeah, if you go to Alcatraz, the only way to leave is by taxi (must be a flying one, or something). If you're out of taxi tokens, you're stuck.

Easiest Mario game.. hm, that's a hard one. I'm able to beat Super Mario Land easily without dying once, but since a lot of people claim that game is hard, I guess I just find it easy due to playing it too much.
Mario Land 2 is another easy one, but I tend to die a lot at the last boss (he's hard, dammit).
Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario World are other games I can beat fairly easily, but I've played them a lot too.

Meh, I'll just vote SML, that's the one I find easiest.

It played "CD-i movies", Movies on some weird format that oonly worked with the CD-i. Kinda like the PSP, except the system was less popular.
I have CD-i porn somewhere.

The CD-i also played Photo CDs, but did people really use those?

Because it's hot, that's why.

...and because it came with the console when I bought it. But that's a minor point.

Yeah, I never let any character in any strategy RPG where death means death die. If someone died, it was reset time, no matter how worthless that character was.

Other things.. Well, in Sonic the Hedgehog 2, whenever I finish a level, I always run off the screen start spinning, and zoom back onto the screen before the next level starts. Always.
And in Ninja Gaiden games, I always climb to the top of a wall after beating a boss. No idea why, but it's not like there's much else to do while waiting for the timer to stop counting down.
