Let's try this, then, shall we:

NES: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 17, 19, 23, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 33, 34, 36, 38, 39 and 40 right.

*Okay, I had to answer twice on 39. Like everyone and their dog, I guess Ironsword.

*I know I've seen 18 before, but I just can't remember the name.

*Anyone know which game 14 is?

*Heh, 34 happened to be my favourite game as a kid, Gavin. Too bad you americans never got it. Then again, we never got games like Final Fantays and Dragon Warrior.

*dan: The hell? 16 is correct.

SNES: Well, it says 18/40 (1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11,13, 15, 16, 22, 23, 24, 26, 34, 35), though I know that's not correct. I know what games 2 and 18 are, and I probably gt wrong on more than those even though I know the answer. Blah.

Posted on 04-19-05 07:26 PM, in Have you ever found any cool glitch or code on your own? Link
I found a glitch room in one of the train stages in Wario Land, which, as far as I know, no one else have posted on the net. (Basically, find the midway save point, stand underneath, and jump while ducking to get stuck on top of it. Now, jump a lot, and you'll go through the ceiling when the train shakes.)

I also found some kind of code in McDonaldland for GB, where you could super jump by pressing start (this was normally done by pressing select, but only worked once per stage. The start jump could be used whenever you wanted.) Of course, like everyone else, I have no idea how I did it.

Yeah...

Hey, I guess I could take over the "visual novels and hentai games" section. I mean, I play them. Well, I played two. Okay, one and a demo. Or, well, I only played through the one that was a demo, the other one had a lot of disgusting hentai where some girls made brown liquid appear by jamming books up their.. um, yeah.

Okay, maybe not.

No, no, no. The green-colored zone is the civilized part. I guess I should move the word "civilization" so it covers more than one country.

I really am going, and yes, that does mean I'll pretty much have to leave the online world for about a year, but I figured that since I'm annoucing this in a rather humorous way, Craziness would be the best place for the thread. Feel free to move it General if you think that's where it belongs.

Hm, I guess you americans aren't too familiar with the norwegian school system, so let me explain how it works first.

First, there's Children's School, from the year you fill 6, to the year you fill 13. (Well, originally it was from the year you filled 7, so I only want to Children's School for 6 years. It was changed in 1997.)

Then there's Youth School, from the year you fill 13 to the year you fill 16. Both Children's School and Youth School are mandatory.

After Youth School, most people choose to attend Advanced School, where they may choose between a number of different courses. Most of these last 3 years. I attended General Studies, which is.. well, general studies. (Well, technically General Studies only last 2 years, but you have to take a year of "General, Economical and Administrative Studies" first. After this course, you choose whether you want to attend General Studies or Economical and Administrative Studies.) So the majority attend Advanced School from the year they fill 16 to the year they fill 19.

After Advanced School, if you chose one of the courses that give the so-called "Basic Scholary Competense" (no idea what the english word is), you'll be able to attend University or the so-called "High School" (pretty much the same as College).

As for me, I'll be done with Advanced School in June this year.

As for internet access, no idea. We'll find out when we get there.

Aw, the first installments of Mario Party were good games. It was when the series appeared on the GC it started to suck. (At least I think so. Never played MP3.)

You could import the japanese Four Swords+. Navi Trackers is an incredibly enjoyable multiplayer game. Too bad it requires GBAs and GC/GBA-cables.

Posted on 05-16-05 07:52 AM, in Applications for the Position of Local Moderator Link
Name: Fredrik Jullum

Age: 19

Sex: Male

Skills: Ah, yes, skills. Um, I fairly knowledgeable when it comes to the '86-'96 period of video gaming history, I have basic HTML skills, and according to my teachers, I'm quite skilled in the beautiful form of art that is sarcasm (which may not be a useful skill here, but whatever). I also know how to moderate message boards, having done so for years. Of course, you already knew that, as this is one of the boards I've been modding.

Highest level: On Acmlm's, Local moderator of General Gaming, Final Fantasy, General Language, Story Forum and Mole Activities. On other boards, Full moderator.

Forums to Moderate and why:
-General Gaming: Video games have always been a huge interest of mine, and over the years I have become quite knowledgeable in that field. My area of expertise is, as already mentoined, the NES/SNES era, though I keep up with the current consoles (not computers, though. I've never been a computer gamer). The games themselves, and their gameplay in particular, have always been the most important aspect of gaming, but while I'm no system fanboy, I'll alwaysbe a Nintendo fan at heart.

-General Emulation: Well, I enjoy retro gaming, and emulators is an important part of the current retro scene, so I have some knowledge in that area as well.

Recommendations: max, Havok (?), Cymoro, Legion, Yiffy Kitten, Elric

Reasons you think you will be a good local mod, what you plan to accomplish as a local mod: Well, I've been a member of the board since day one, and I've been a member of the staff for years, so obviously I've been doing something right. I have moderating experience, both from this board and the official Nintendo message boards of Norway (those being this one and this one), and while the majority of members there aren't exactly rocket scientists, they are serious and official boards with thousands of members (the population of Norway is about 5 million, if anyone was wondering).

As I said, I've been here for a long time, I'm a well-known and, as far as I know, well-liked member, and while I may not be the most out-going member of all tim, I always consider whether or not an intended post will actually contribute someting to a discussion. And while I may not post all the time, know that I do at least read a lot of threads here (many times without logging in first. that's what happens when there are multiple computers in the house, with the easiest avaliable one (which also happens to be the newest one) being shared by multiple people.)

Now, as a number of you know, I'll be protecting my dear motherland by joining the army this summer, and while it may seem a bit silly to apply for an online job just a few months before this happens, I still don't have any idea of what I'll actually be doing up north, nor what kind of online privilegies I'll have. I do hope I'll be able to spend time online (and I kinda doubt that I won't), but I won't be moderating the forums spammers tend to target anyway. Also, since I live in a different time zone than most staff, I'll be online when you aren't.

Hm, it's getting late. I'll guess I'll try to write more here later.
