Yeah, japanese files do save to american cards. The problem is, you can't have japanese and american games saved to the same card. They don't mix, and you've pretty much wrecked your american save files by attempting to do this. Always keep japanese save files on a different memory card than the american files (European and american files mix, however. No problems there.) |
So yeah, you're not getting your files back. It sucks, but at least you've learned what you're not supposed to do.

Hm.. beating Donkey Kong (the GB one. You know, with the keys and doors stuff), I guess.I'm pretty sure that was the first video game I beat all by myself. Really great game, and just the right difficullty level for an 8-year-old like me. Back then, I didn't know much about video games, and only got the game because the store clerk said it was good. I was really surprised when I noticed Mario was in it. |

There is none. Aeon Genesis is working on one, though, but they haven't made much progress the last 2 years or so. |

Well.. FF1 isn't very hard. Try to use figthing classes, since magic is pretty much crap in this game (though you do want someone who can cast Haste and Steel. Those spells are godly. You might also want someone who can use the Nul-spells (NulIce, NulFire, ect.), as they come in handy at some bosses. Attack magic sucks, though. Cast Haste on a Warrior, and he'll deal the same amount of dmage for the rest of the battle. And the so-called "Ultimate spell", Flare, is laughably weak. If you have a Black Mage, you're better off stacking Steels on your Warrior than casting this filth.) |
As for FF2, eh.. Try to fight most stuff you find. Yeah. That's basically it. Your stats will rise at a decent pace if you do that. As for magic, spread it out a little. Have one elemental spell for each person, but only use one of them for seriously damaging the enemy. The others are just for enemies with godly defense and elemental weakness. Oh, and magic is to be used in battle, not saved for bosses. You get more MP by doing this as well, so don't worry about running out. As for the other spells, get Cure, Life and Heal. Get Heal to level 5 (or is it 4?), so it can heal petrification.) Don't use Life in battle unless it's at a somewhat high level, or it'll almost always fail. Oh, and stay away from the back row. You'll rarely be attacked there, so your HP won't rise, and then you'll be destroyed by some powerful spell that DOES hit the back row.

Beyblade. |
I mean, tops? Fucking TOPS? People "battling" with their tops? Making strategies for spinning their tops into the opponents top when none of them have any control of those things anyway. And, worst of all: BEFRIENDING their tops? I mean, they're TOPS, not animals or semi-intelligent robots. Yeah, I only saw a few episodes. One of them had some guy who destroyed other people's tops because he liked being evil. Then the main character detroyed HIS top, and he started crying. Then the main character and his friends fixed the destroyed top, and the villain became their best friend. Or something.

Well, SomerZ USED to live about 20 metres from my house, before he moved. |
Other than him, there have been a few from Halden here, but they've either amde less than 10 posts combined, or registered just to spam. One of those guys is the reason there's an IP-ban on the computers at school.

Hre's your answer: http://www.starroms.com/ |
It's a rom site, but you don't simply DOWNLOAD the roms, you BUY them. I'm not sure whether you'd be allowed to charge money to let people play them, though. The FAQ says you're not allowed to sell them or give them away, but doesn't mentoin anything else. Try sending them a mail or something. (edited by Adamant on 11-24-04 07:11 AM)

You don't want Black Mage. (Well, maybe you do in the GBA version, since I haven't played it, and it's more of a sequel than a port, really. And I heard they changed the classes a bit.) Really, name one, ONE, spell BM can learn that RM can't that anyone would actually care about. No, not NUKE/Flare, that spell is an overrated sack of crap. Apart from that one spell, the only exclusive spells BM has are shitty instant-death or stun spells. Oh, and Saber, but that spell is laugable. Yeah. RM has a weapon. RM can do stuff when you're NOT fighting a boss or a huge group of annoying enemies you want to take out at once. And RM can do that just as well as BM. Sorry, BM sucks. WM sucks as well, in case anyone was wondering. You don't need Harm/Dia when you have Fire, you don't need Ruse (Blink, I think) unless your battles drag on a lot, and it only works on the caster anyway. The only spell you'd miss was Cure4, but you can live without it. |
Oh, and Thief sucks as well. Thief is horrible at the beginning, and when he promotes to Ninja, he STILL can't stand up to Knight. Sure, he has Fast/Haste, but so does RM/RW. Yeah, the classes are a bit unbalanced. (restricted) |

Originally posted by Emptyeye Definitly. The game mechanics has been changed so much that it's more like a new game than a port. Take the classes in FF1, for instance. You can pretty much throw all your knowledge of them out of the window, since they simply aren't the same characters. If Square Enix had changed their graphics and names, they would barely be recognizable. Also, the real meat of the game is those new dungeons. The main quest is laughably easy, and is pretty much just to get you ready for the real game. (Okay, I don't know too much about FF2, except the stat gaining is faster, and the select-cancel glitch was taken out. Oh, and some names are changed to be more similiar to the original.) But yeah, get this game. Asking whether or not you should get this if you have the original and Origins is like asking if you should get Metroid Zero Mission if you already have the original Metroid. And if THAT doesn't convince you.. Garland says "I will knock you all down" in this game. How can any human resist this beauty now?

Mega Man Battle Network 2: RPG-ish realtime-strategy-action-hybrid thing. |
The first game is somewhat primitive compare to the later ones, the 3rd is not as good, and the 4th isn't good at all. So yeah, get the second. If you like it, get the rest of the series. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
