| I haven't had too many problems with my GC. The eject button does get stuck a times (which is easy to fix), and Turok Evolution sometimes freeze when it's loading a new level (but it saves before it start loading a level, so it's no big deal. You just turn the system off and on, and continue from where you were) | |||

Originally posted by Emptyeye Actually, it was beneficii who bumped it, but whatever. If bumping make this pretty much dead forum get posts, so be it. And yes, FF6 IS overrated. Sure, it's good at the beginning, but it kinda falls apart after the Floating Continent. Not much story to speak of, characters turn into carbon copies of each other, and whatever challenge the game might've had goes down the drain. The game becomes nothing more than a huge collection of sidequests to get items you don't really need, as the last dungeon and bosses are dead easy anyway. Why would you want to hunt down 8 dragons hidden all over the world, just to get a rather crappy spell that can't compare to stuff you can get much easier? (Hm, that's kinda like the Leviathan sidequest in FF3. Did anyone EVER use that spell?) |

| It's called a Radio Drama (or CD Drama, or WAV drama, or whatever the media is.) I remember we made one in 2nd grade. It sucked, mostly because we had 5 voice actors and about 15 roles. Add in the fact that we youngsters didn't really know how to do different voices, so it was kinda hard to make out who was talking most of the time. Oh yeah, and we decided on roles before reading the script, so we had situations where two characters voiced by the same guy would have a dialouge that was impossible for those unfamiliar with the plot to follow. I still have the tape. (edited by Adamant on 10-07-04 04:38 PM) |

| If I had to choose one? Hm, I dunno. Some kind of rice dish, I guess. Rice is good. Preferrably with some kind of seasfood.. like shrimps. Fried rice with shrimps. Yeah, I'd have that. As for the drink.. I dunno. What goes well with rice? Lemon soda? With alcohol, 'cause if I'm only going to eat and drink one kind of meal for the rest of my life, I'd like to be able to get really drunk as well. MHL: Dude, you can't make decent taco without tomatoes. It's virtually impossible. |

| /\ | | But FF3 was never released for the WSC. Only FF1, FF2 and FF4. Well, I don't know whether being on the DS will benefit the game, but having the game will definitly benefit the DS. I mean, the only FF game not released in the states, which is also both one of the best NES games AND one of the best FF games. How can it NOT sell in large numbers? (Of course, Deadly Towers would sell in large numbers if someone put the FF name on it too, but that's not the point) |

| If you don't have them already, get Phantasy Star Collection. It's the best of old-school RPGs. Fire Emblem is beautiful. And no, it's nothing like Advance Wars. Advance Wars is about building an army and overpowering the enemy as he is building an army, Fire Emblem is about using your army to beat down the opponents army. Basically, the difference is that in Advance Wars, everybody will be building new troops constantly, while in FE it's two troops simply duking it out. Which I greatly prefer. Buu's Fury isn't a bad game. Sure, it's not OMG teh most inofative gmae evz0r lolz, but it's a decent little hack-and-slash game (or punch-and-blow-holes-in in this case). It's better than those Lord of the Rings games too. All of them. The Mega Man Battle Network series is a great little strategy-action-RPG-hybrid thing you definitly have to check out, and the Mega Man Zero series is very good old-school Mega Man action (yeah, okay, it's more like X than classic MM, but whatever. It's good, and it's nowhere near as hard as people say. The first one was disappointingly easy.) Oh, and there's always the next-generation Pokemon games, which is more of the same, just even MORE complicated. You think your level 100 Salamence is identical to another level 100 Salamence in your state? Well, he most likely isn't. Unless you've been studying guides and graphs and know exactly what you're doing, he's most likely different from all the other Salamences in the entire country. And he'll most likely get his ass kicked by half of them too, even if their level is lower. Then there's the Golden Sun series, which is decent, but way too hyped. Breath of Fire 2 is better, and probably cheaper too. |

| Oooh, i got one. "House of the Common People" Yeah, sure, it's a pun on the british government, which I guess most people here don't give a shit about, but I still found it somewhat funny. |

Originally posted by Colleen Ah yes, the guy you have a time limit on. Yes, he's hard as hell. One of the hardest boss in all MM game as far as I can remember. You have little HP, he is strong, fast, and somewhat hard to avoid.. and you have a time limit to beat him. Oh yeah. Just, um.. use the saber, and do your best to avoid him as you slash him quickly. Yes, it's hard. Keep trying. Mega Man games that sucked? Mega Man for Game Gear, and Mega Man and Mega Man 3 for PC. Horrible, horrible games. None of them were made by Capcom, and the GG game looks like they used half a day on designing it (the game consists of stages and bosses ripped from NES games, with minimum changes (Toad Man is much faster, and Bright Man's weapon now hurts everything on screen instead of freezing time.). Obviously, the NES stages weren't designed for such a small screen, so you'll end up dying from landing on spikes you never saw due to the floor being off screen.. It's really horrible. The PC games feature all new stages and bosses (Shark Man from the Battle Network series was taken from MM3PC), but.. well, it's just not good. Hard too. |

| Zero Mission includes the original Metroid, which is better than both of them. Get that. Nah, sorry, the GBA Metroid games aren't really worth it. Linearity and plot-driven gameplay doesn't belong in the Metroid series. |

Originally posted by Colleen Hm, really? I thought you could do that, just not use the select-cancel glitch. Then again, both games are now a lot easier than ever. The new dungeons, however, are hard. |

| The Atari 2600 har a lot of games with a plain weird premise. Take Plaque Attack, for instance. Protect teeth against evil food. Yeah. It's actually a pretty fun game, too. Earthbound is weird in a different way. You could probably put Conker's Bad Fur Day in the same leauge. And of curse, there's the Discworld point-and-clicks, which are just.. well.. odd. Fun though, but near impossible. |

| I will not make alliances with those more powerful than myself. Such a person would only double-cross me in my moment of glory. I will make alliances with those less powerful than myself. I will then double-cross them in their moment of glory. This one always makes me laugh. |

| The GB game was actually the first game I ever owned (well.. apart from a few LCD games).. It's not exactly the perfect game for beginners. It took me years before I managed to beat level 2. I can get to level 5 nowadays, but I simply can't beat it. That stupid brain/rock thing is just too hard to avoid. And I always lose a lot of lives at level 3 too. I suck at that level. And the boss is evil. As for difficulity.. Yeah, the NES version is definitly hard, but there ARE harder games out there. Bayou Billy must be the hardest NES game I've played. I've only passed level 1 a couple of times on that, while I can get to level 7 or 8 or something on Battletoads. As for Ghosts 'n' Goblins.. I believe I can get to level 3. But yeah, it's a harder game than Battletoads. |

Originally posted by Majin_Hacker Which game? And actually, it isn't THAT complicated. First, open the ROM in a Tile Editor. (Or NESticle, if it's a NES game. That's the only reason you should ever use NESticle, though.) Find the graphics for the japanese characters, and change them to english letters. Now, open the rom, find the text you want to translate, jot down the random letters now in place of the japanese characters, and do a search on these in a hex editor. Then change the garbage into what you want the text too say. |
