....Acmlmboard doesn't have anything to let you add board, you don't need to be even in contact with PHP code to add forums. Just go in PMA (PhpMyAdmin) and do what has already been said.

Edit: Guess Xeo said it first.

On a side note: We cannot explain it to be easier than that.

Personnaly, I believe that using IDs for both would be easier and as efficiant as you would want.


Since you only have to do queries like:

$code = mysql_fetch_array(mysql_query("SELECT stuff FROM games WHERE gameid='".$_GET['gid']."'");

or

$gamebyconsole = mysql_fetch_array(mysql_query("SELECT stuff FROM games WHERE console='".$_GET['cid']."'");

Dunno, seems the best way to do it.

And funny thing is that it takes about 1 second to do it throught PMA.

At Xeo's, I've been forced to do all edits throught PMA, and it's not that hard

But yeah, this is not unwelcomed Just make sure you don't create a security hole (since it's you, I'm not worrying.... but we never know)

Anyway, add "or die(mysql_error())" before the semi-colon in the after the UPDATE query (it's on line 214, in version 1.A3). Post the error it gives (if any, but it should give one)

I've seen some people ask about why there's an error at a certain line. Before asking please use the "mysql_error()" function, after the faulty query (the one reported at the top of the page, normaly it concerns "mysql_fetch_array".)

What you do is:
Replace:
$wtf = mysql_fetch_array(somequery);

To:
$wtf = mysql_fetch_array(somequery) or die(mysql_error());


This makes finding errors easier (and sometimes point an obvious thing like: "table board.something doesn't exist".

Hope this is gonna help some of you.

By the way, mysql_error() really is your best friend.

Go in PMA, and create a new column in the user table, make it have these properties:
Field: oldstylemark
Type: TINYINT
Length/Values: 1
Attributes: UNSIGNED
Default: 0
Null: NOT NULL

Should work, that did it a Xeo's
