Well seeing how no one is posting anything new, I figured I'd throw my new Mario sprite out there. Not only did I remove that overalls, but I gave him a new job too. Well I was riding high, wowing everyone with how well I can make gfx, but Bit-Blade's CV hack just totally made me his bitch. So in turn I scrapped my CV hack with Grant DeNasty and went back to basics. Normal CV engine, sick GFX, and hopefully some aweomse level design. May I present to you CastleVania: The Wicked End.![]() This is the only screen you get right now, more will come later. This will be a full GFX, Level, and Story hack of the Original Castlevania. |

| I actually only have one dumped CV hack, which is the one with Grant. I just felt that with the new gameplay, the fun factor really suffered, but I am definately taking the enemy sprites and a few level concepts from that one for this hack. Let me live in someone's shadow lol That's how I push myself to become better. Anyways, I scrapped that one CV hack with Grant in it, because it just really wasn't that fun. In order for the new jump mechanics to work, level design had to suffer greatly. I'm deciding to go back to basics, and just deliver a knock out hack using nothing but graphics and level design now. Oh, and where would Castlevania be without giant ornate crosses?![]() |

I have the story made up, so here it goes.![]() CastleVania: The Wicked End In Transylvania the name Belmont was always associated with a legacy of Vampire Hunters. Names like Leon, and Trevor became things of legend, but one Belmont lived to defeat Dracula more than once. His name was Simon Belmont. Simon has since grown into a wise old man and had children of his own, but one night in the middle of the star littered sky a castle rose up in the mountains, it was the dark caslte of Lord Dracula. With no one to protect his family and village, Simon puts on a dark hooded cloak, takes the legendary Vampire Killer in his hand, and head off to what will be his final battle. |

| I'll keep that in mind with the stars, and definately check out how the crosses look with 0C. I'm trying to look for where I can fit ends to the crosses in, because that was the original idea, I think I can get rid of half of the spave the crosses take up, but I don't know how much I'll like the look of them. Oh and Leon is one of the first, or the first, Belmonts to kill a vampire (Well actually I just know he's a long time before Simon.) And I didn't use Richter because... well... he's a wuss. He cries and thinks too much. Simon just strolls into Dracula's room in the middle of the night and beats the crap out of a vampire without saying a word. Then he goes and eats an entire pot roast in one sitting... okay well he might be more insane than cool. Here's a picture comparing the two: ![]() |

I'm done with the GFX for level 1! I'm probably going to do this like I did with Orchestra of Despair, where I'll release a GFX-only Teaser hack, and then release a full level hack after that.![]() Here's the first boss. She sits on the top of the corss and waits for you, it turned out pretty cool. |

| That's because PAL games don't work on a non-PAL television. It's not the PSX that's the problem. You'd have to go to Europe to play the PAL games. | |||

I'm working on an overhaul of Ms. Pac-Man for NES. Ms. Pac-Man pretty much one of my favorite games ever, next to Legend of Zelda. So to honor my video game girlfriend I'm giving her NES Namco release a facelift. If anyone has any ideas of fun changes to make I'll see what I can do. I'm also going to change the special bonuses to the Tengen Stange bonuses (examples are a boot and a human hand). So far I finished the palletes and sprites for Ms. Pac-Man and the Ghosts. | I got a question for Dahrk Daiz! I was wondering if you still have that .ips patch for the pallettes for the levels in Ms. Pac-Man. Right now with just the updated sprites the game looks like a Homeless man with some gators on. I need to fix up how the levels look too so it will all be pretty. | |||

| If I get that patch that I want from DD I'll edit the walls right away. The pallete for the walls is stored weird, but DD made a patch so the palletes are very easy to change. I need to change them though, because one of the colors is black, and I want all three colors for the walls to make them look a little better | |||

| Yeah, here's basically a sum up of Ms. Pac-Man for NES. Tengen > Namco. The Tengen release of Ms. Pac-Man is more like the SNES/Sega version with different maze patterns, Pac Booster, and pretty much everything from that version. The Nameco version is well, crap. That's why I'm updating that one, I'd rather the Namco version of the game be at least better looking than the Tengen one. Ms. Pac-Man and the ghosts kind of have to be a little big, and that's not even me saying that I'm too lazy to make new sprites as opposed to fixing up the old ones. Ms. Pac-Man herself is completely hand drawn, it's just the crappy small maps that Namco made for the game. The tengen ones are two screens long so that Ms. Pac-Man and the Ghosts actually fit inbetween the walls, there's just not enough space in the 8x8 tiles to make a detailed enough sprite, like the Bow on Ms. Pac-Man and the eyes on the ghosts would suffer a pretty big hit if I made them smaller. Oh and I'm psyched by the way to hear that you're making a non HTML version of your editor DD, you just answered my prayers with that. |
