I got a title for my hack! The screen I'm about to show is just a placeholder for another title screen probably, but I thought this will be a more fun way to present the new name.



So there it is... Ms. Pac-Man: Teh Sex Mix... and no it won't have drug and sex related sprites. I'm just calling it that.

Well a combination of things, but mostly YY-CHR. I just think it's a lot easier to use for more in depth graphics changes where you need a lot of open space to work with, (By that I mean I open up a second YY-CHR, make a new blank file, and use it like a clipboard/arranger.) and it has more tools for editing. For the title screen, I added in the new part of the title by putting the "Ms. Pac-Man" part of it in Photoshop, adding in the new text ontop of it, and then putting it back in YY-CHR. I just feel like I have a lot more freedom with YY-CHR for some reason.

Nice Screenies everyone. I got a little bit of stuff to show, just to show that I'm still working on at least ideas for my Ms. Pac-Man hack. I still need the editor to come out so I can at least edit the maze palettes.


Here's the new in-game font that I'm going to be using.

You can always throw in set names and classes to FF1 like I did in my hack I was working on if that's the problem. I don't know the data off hand but I posted it in the FF running Q&A topic. That's pretty much the best looking FF hack I've ever seen. I wish I could get the inspiration to continue mine, but every time I go to edit something my mind goes blank.

It looks allright DD, but to make it look more like a forest running into a lake, I'd suggest maybe making the tree placement a little more random and less boxy on the right of the lake. That way it will look like the forest is thinning out as it gets closer to the lake.

Oh I have a ton of crazy ideas that I put into a FF hack, I just don't know if I'll ever want to work on it again. Because of all of the new ideas (mainly the new magic system) it made the game incredibly time consuming to hack. The new magic system replaced magic with "Skills." Each of the four characters had thier own individual skill that they could perform. The Archer could shoot different types of arrows, The healer could cast healing spells, The fighter had stat enhancers, and The Specialist had stat decreasers. Even weapons and armor were pretty specific as to who could use what. Just organizing that was taking most of the time that I hacked the game.

Speaking of hacks I haven't worked on in a while. Just to show that I want to finish my Castlevania hack (but just don't have any ideas for it) I have a screen of the new Title screen I'm working on.

Take out the white outline, when you do that it will probably look choppy, so smooth out the letters after the outline is gone

Yup it's the original Castlevania. For all of the levels that take place inside of the castle walls, I'm going to be borrowing ideas from Sypmhony of the Night. On another note though, here's the finished title screen.

You're probably thinkg of "Fag Man" or whatever it's called. It's on I-Mockery... yeah it sucked. As much as I think calling people "Ass Man" and "Gay Man" is pretty lame (no offense KT, it's just really not my style) I see that you did make Mega Man shoot 5 snakes at once, so that's pretty cool. I've seen those GFX for FF before They look pretty good. I'm not really into SNES hacks, but from what I see the SMW and SMW2 hacks are both looking pretty awesome.

Here's a shot of the Castle Entrance level showing me taking more ideas from Symphony of the Night.


Instead of stairs I have the a floor area that steps up on it's own. A similar thing is done in the clock tower in SotN.
