Actually, people do it becuse they can.  Honestly I would install Linux on a X-box, if I was both rich and bored and wanted to test it out. (but as much money I have now... I am good on procrastination, many many times I either do stuff before the deadline. Or after...  I have been doing that for years, sure I survived with it. But it's annoying...  Usually it's the "just little more" feeling that makes me procrastinate, I do something else and then forget about the more important stuff. |

Your always to quick with calling things rubbish Fyxe. Becuse the GIF animations dosen't work to well on his browser dosen't mean that it is rubbish, it could be something that your GIF animations aren't following the GIF standards right. (but XK, you could have said it in a nice way... |
)I could say then that IE is rubbish becuse it don't support PNG transparency, and MNG, and how slow that browser loads page and how it is trying to create own standards instead of following them, and all the security holes... Yeah some of the GIF animations is slower in Firefox. Maybe it's how delay's work diffrent in Firefox. Talking about MNG, I wonder when it will make a breakthrough. This is an PNG transparency test, Firefox does this correct. Internet explorer not. And yeah, Internet explorer is fast. But Firefox is faster than IE especially when there is alot of pictures. Try it out at least, I was skeptical myself before I downloaded it. But I use it as main browser now and find IE clumsy now. The GIF animation slowdown are only noticeable with your GIF's Fyxe. Which program are you using? Microsoft GIF animation? Maybe I should post this on the Firefox forums. Edit: Now it seems, Only Microsoft GIF animator and IE plays it in that speed. I hadn't tested it so much on low-perfomance systems. Firefox uses more memory than IE and that is maybe why it is slow for you. But on newer computers it is faster. I did mean that saving the orginal document on a floppy is risky, and that you should save it somewhere else first. |
And the fact that I have seen to many people who bring their work to school on a floppy, and then the damn floppy is damaged. (that's why I use the internet for transfering thngs betweeen computers, I just send the stuff over e-mail) The format floppy is dying, I see newer computers without now. More and more peopel seem to use USB memories instead too... I have one somewhere.
