"Don't know where Iraq is" ...that one was funny. xD I really do hope it's not too common with lack of geographical knowledge in US. Then I do have meet people who think Sweden lies in south Europa. p_p |

Well, they used Zelda for tech demo the last two generations. But they could as well go wtih another francise. The tech demos seldom turn into full games anyway... Picture of revolution? Looks pretty nice if I say so, if not quite small. It will actually fit between my NES and VHS player. I like it that small, since my video game corner is kinda cramped. |

Originally posted by R2H2Would be more likely that they made a cheap PC. Hell, there been even speculations about a "Google OS", but they probably won't turn out true. Well, and it would surely be simple to use. But Nintendo is already taking that "simple to play and use" approch. I heard from people that the early Perfect dark zero demo wasn't goodlooking nor smooth from people who saw it. Then, it's a early alpha and they're seldom pretty... then how long time have Rare worked on it? Besides I hadn't seen any screenshots myself, so don't take my word on it. Microsoft is most likely to port Virtual PC, their own X86 emulator for Macintosh/PowerPC. Could be said that a PowerPC have a easier time to emulate an X86, than a X86 is at emulating PowerPC. All three consoles in the next generation is using PowerPC I think, which probably makes porting between the consoles easier that can be a good thing... (Gamecube is the only one using PowerPC in the current generation) (edited by Kitty Jedi on 05-16-05 10:52 PM) (edited by Kitty Jedi on 05-16-05 10:53 PM) |

"Believes 90% of DS owners will be online." Woah woah, sure I can see how they are very happy on that conference, but isn't that a little overkill? Unless hotspots get's common everywhere in the earth. Well, it probably will be with time. MOST POST MORE ARTICLES ABOUT THE SAME THING God, I really love the idea of playing old games. Even if I own them, I would love playing a few of the N64 games I never got. Althought licenses can be a problem, i'm not expecting Goldeneye or Perfect dark. ; Heh, maybe they release old SNES games that was unreleased before. This seems to be inspired with Nintendo's iQue thing which was fairly succeful in China I think. "Freedom of design: A dynamic development architecture equally accommodates both big-budget, high-profile game "masterpieces" as well as indie games conceived by individual developers equipped with only a big idea." ...seems like Nintendo really learned from their N64 mistake and maybe even make it possible for indivduals to get a SDK. With a small fee of course. And i'm expecting the thing to be cheap, Nintendo was succeful with the NES becuse people could afford it. And that is still true today. (DS outsells PSP... and X-box didn't get a breakthrough until Microsoft decided to give it a big pricedrop) Edit: Keep in mind, even the Gamecube can emulate the old games. I guess it's the Internet part that is new. I wonder what equipment I would need at home, if I found a cheap effective Wifi router. (edited by Kitty Jedi on 05-17-05 06:13 AM) |

Nintendo Revolution! CUZ I'M AN FANBOY. ...actually, I started to give crap about grahpics as we're starting to hit a level where the leap between the generations are less... revolutionary. X-box would be second. Sony is... kinda losing it now. I'm expecting it could be a total turnover and Nintendo is the big giant again or it's Microsoft with it's X-box. And anyone getting offended by my post should get out, it's my personal opinion and shouldn't be taken seriously. Kay? I wonder what the final name of Revolution would be, althought Revolution sounds more creative than PS3 at least... and Xbox 360 sounds kinda catchy. Even if it dosen't make much sense. Yeah, we have a thread about revolution. I thought that picture I posted first was fake, but apparently not. I didn't belive I would see a picture of Nintendo's revolution this year. I expect Gameboy micro being a good budget handheld. Honestly, they must sell it for cheap or it get killed by Nintendo's own DS. And it's probably a sign that Nintendo don't want to give up GBA. And well, even Gamecube can emulate the N64. It already does that with the Zelda bonus disc. So it's not that hard to implent it really, from a devolopment standpoint. You just need someone to write the emulators. |

Well, infact they already figured out how to do that with the DS. There is a demo version of some game that you can apparently upload to your DS in that way. And people have gotten Linux running on the DS (althought very basic for the moment... it's not really useful for anything) Althought it's very restricted with the restricted amount of RAM. If Nintendo would make some offical DS flash cart or something... I doubt the Revolution would be too diffrent, they can't strip away buttons at least but it's possibly they add new ones. |

I just saw it. Oh god, oh god. I must watch it over and over again. I was disturbed with the rebuffering, which stopped when my sister did head to sleep. I guess he was listining on internet radio or something. I'm excited about just being able to play N64 games, I hate the N64 controller (or rather, it's small control stick that is just plain uncomfortable...) but love some of the games. :X I wonder of Revolution can have Gamecube Memory cards, it would be a shame to not using the old savegames. Althought i'm not throwing out my Gamecube, I could have it in my own room or something. I gained faith in Nintendo again. Now they just need to release Advance wars DS so I have something to play in meanwhile before the new Legend of Zelda is released. Edit: Creepy, it's like the press conference brainwashed me... The only ones I can think of is the Dogz series, which was intresting in one way. And that's how the graphics. Each dog (and cat, if you had Catz) was made of furballs. That made them to look cute and all, but the "game" wasn't very deep. Nintendogs definatly seems deeper and so far it's been a success. Loving pets and all, I probably get it when it's released. >.>; Hehe, I hope we can have tournaments on this board with the diffrent DS online games. |

I really do hate the awful letter system after using Linux. I really do. hda1 sounds cooler than c:\ ... My disk configurations are bland, it only get intresting if you include my computer with Linux on. Which have a partition for Windows, another partition for Linux and another partition for swap. (It would be a good idea from Microsoft if they decided to make a swap filesystem, it's faster) Disk 0 (which had SMART warnings, that only appeared on 1 april. So it can fail anyday... ) C:\ 9.79 GB NTFS Windows and a few programs, mostly critical and preinstalled programs. And we store most of our documents there too for some stupid reason. (I would rather have my documents on my other HD...) D:\ 46.11 GB NTFS Games games and games, and various programs is installed here. Mostly programs I got before I installed my other HD Disk1 g:\ 48.82 GB NTFS (yes, I skipped a few letters which was taken by my CD drive, sure I could use E but NTFS gives me the option to assign any letter) New games, and here is where all my downloads go now. And there is alot of backup here, becuse I don't trust my first HD... ~ 25.70 GB not allocated Some unused space, reserved for future usage. Maybe installing a linux distro. Probably Slackware as that's the one i'm most comfortable with (and people say it's hard to use ). (edited by Kitty Jedi on 05-17-05 09:11 AM) |

Originally posted by SionFor the record, your custom title freaks me out. And oh, i'm highly afraid of death. Yessir. I just keep thinking on "how long time 10 years is" and then calculate on how many years I have left with the average life lenght and even say things to myself like "1/4 of my life have passed". I do not constantly think on it thought, just before sleep. That's annoying too. It's not death itself that i'm afraid of, it's what happens after death. Althought, why should people be worried about something that happens to everyone? *sigh* I wish my mind was that logical late at night... ...actually, lately I started to care less about it. I dunno why but, well. I guess it's a period I had that i'm going out of. It started to help when I did relax myself before going to sleep, then thoose thoughts stopped for me. I think he said along the lines of the new Smash bros being online capable. And he also said that he tries to release Smash bros with revolution. |
...I just hope they won't lag with the release dates too much thought. Or you all catch me up in level of expertise. |
