| A disk defrag would make things worse actually, you see I think it could be a head crash. A defrag would only make it worse, since it moves around files physically on the HD. If it's a head crash that means it only get more damaged. Besides I did defrag it quite recently... It sounds like a old loud HD, but there is no other strange sounds. Ironically, it still have guarantee... for two weeks. So it breaks down, I probably get a new HD... hopefully.  Right now i'm backupping stuff to my second HD, and even copy stuff to my own computer. | It's usually enough to castrate IE and then use a alternate browser such as Firefox. Anti-virus and anti-spyware never hurt thought. I castrate IE by simple turning it's abilities to use Active-x and javascript off. It get's useless but I never use it anyway. |
