Yes he did. He posted it in a thread where YD plead to people to use JPG's and not TXT files.

Or maybe it was Legion... well that thread got deleted by "Legions cousin" anyway. :/

I wouldn't recomend Fedora Core 3 on that computer thought, it's too bloated for such an old computer. Hell I have a slighlty better computer and it's not running very fast.

I want to replace with a light but fast and easy to use distro, a such distro would be good for LPE too.

I wouldn't be surprised if that limit was mainly for registering users.

And hell, who uses a name longer than 32 charachters? It would just be annoying...

Fedora core 3 is easy to setup as dual-boot. As far I know it, it's hard to messup during the installation. So don't worry about that, besides it setup the "bootloader" for you, but you should rename it's choiches if you can. (It did name Windows 98 DOS... and even if Windows 98 does run on a DOS core...)

I only installed it on a Windows 98 computer, but it's should be the same for Win XP. As long you have unpartioned space or an partion that you can waste or an empty HD. It shouldn't be a problem, otherwise you can try resizing a current partition althought that's risky.

FC3 seems good as long you don't install it on a old PII as I did...

Heh, maybe we could turn this into a thread who does it the best.

Sure I maybe try it, i'm really not that bad at drawing and I don't have problems as long it's cartoonic. I suck when I try to include some realism.

Heh, I said that Windows 98 is based on DOS but I didn't say it clear enough. Hell the last DOS based Windows was Windows ME.

Personally, I prefer SystemrescueCD, but you need basic *nix knowledge to even use that one. As it's command prompt only, still I prefer it over Knoppix since it's so faster to boot, especially on a old computer...

And yes, running a disk checking program afterwards is always a good idea. I seen wierdness after resizing a FAT partition, but Scandisc fixed that problem anyway. Even if it didn't report any problems intrestingly enough... maybe the checkup just updated something in the filesystem. I don't know exactly how FAT32 works. :/

I am gonna try BeOS in VmWare, if VMware supports that OS. You can get non-supporting OS's to work in VMware thought, I have.

And there is a few floppy OS's you can try, there is a ASM programmed OS that is run on a floppy. Very nice but I forgot the name of it...

Well, i'm glad to see that the board is ok. Althought I also notice that there is so few new posts around.

And honestly, the IRC was so inactive yesterday. Almost none talked.

...is it system idle process? Becuse that one usually take up the CPU that isn't used, and it's normal. I think it's used so the CPU can be used again faster when it's needed.

Demos run here, but they tend to run around little confused in the Demo. He succefully goes around and collect things, but he suicides basically.

And basically, I found something called CodeImp. Tried that one and I think I would stick with it for now until I find a better editor. Seems like I got into level editing again for now.

I think I just read that Kazaa lite works together with Wine. I could be wrong thought, but you should look up Wine at least.
