| Install MS-DOS 7.10 and Windows 3.11. That's a fun thing to do. Thought you can't install VMware tools in Win 3.11 due to obvious reasons. (MS-DOS 7.10 is on the net somewhere to download and Win 3.11 is not that hard to find with filesharing) VMware would have been useful if it did have better support for Direct-X.  I tested MS-DOS 7.10 with Windows 3.11, Swedish Win 98 and damnsmalllinux. (I love how you can mount image files in VMware...). Out of thoose i'm mostly playing with my MS-DOS installation. FreeDOS is better for games thought, that's one thing I realised.  If your brave, you could go ahead and try installing Longhorn. Thought I heard it's very slow in VMware. |

...considering it runs slower than my 486. Hell no.  Besides, I should have said. It's have more accurate DOS emulation. Not Windows 95/98. ...do you have problems running Red alert 2 in Win XP? Do you have the latest patches and all for that one? (little offtopic now but... RA2 works fully in Win XP with multiplayer and all ) |

| Do you have the latest update of Red alert 2 and all for Windows XP? I have no problems at all with Red Alert 2 in multiplayer in Win XP. One of the things that makes RA2 easy is oil derricks, but even on maps without them it's still easy. In the older CnC you had silos and all to build too, they removed the silo concept in Red alert 2. I actually kinda liked the silo concept.  Brutal computers can be patheticly easy sometimes, if they can't reach you at all. They won't bother attacking expect for Airplanes. |

| Yeah I saw it on slashdot earlier today, i'm still logged in into AIM so i'm not affected. Maybe it dosen't affect accounts that are logged on but still... Considering that AIM is one of the biggest IM clients (i'm not sure if MSN have catch up), this gotta be fatal for some people. |

A earlier version of GIMP was working even worser in Windows. So the Windows combitability is better now than the few first versions.

The gimp is done after a account based OS thought, so well. It works better in the NT windows OS's than in the Win9x but should work fine in both. (the only diffrence between XP and 9x is... that XP is more around users. GIMP will place stuff in the user folders)(edited by Kitten Yiffer on 12-10-04 06:19 PM)

Nice that the changes isn't instant. I was gonna expect doing a ton of backups, but small things like that is... nice. (i'm still gonna do a backup now and then thought XD)...I don't even have the latest version of FCEU.

That WinME was released at the same time around as the suporior Windows 2000... well that people where using Windows 2000 at home did show something. |
Windows 2000 isn't that bad, with Service pack 4 it's almost the same thing as Win XP. Win XP looks like 2000 if you take away that theme. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
