| 1. Yep. 2. Through event tiles. You know those tiles to the right of the overworld? Those would be them. You can add more if you need them. Basically, set the level to trigger the event you want, then go in to the layer two event editor. Press page up/page down to scroll through the events to the desired one, then open up the Layer 2 event tile selector. The button for it is to the right of the 16x16 overworld tile selector. Anyway, use the up and down arrow keys to scroll through the pages to the proper page and then paste the tiles in as normal (ones to the beginning are 48x48, ones to the end are 16x16) in the order you want - if you screw up, home/end scroll through the individual steps. Hold shift as you paste one in and it'll be referred to as a silent step, because the animation doesn't show and it won't change until you go in to a level or change submaps. This is useful if you want to change something in a different submap, because off-screen events are kinda screwed up. 3. Yeah. 4. Squash Monster's EggVine. You should be able to get it on Zophar's. 5. On the proper entrance editor, be it secondary or main, make sure the BG position is the same as the FG position (and of course make sure they're both correct). 6. You don't, unless you're an ASM hacker. 7. I guess at the ExGFX workshop, which is one of the sticky threads. EDIT: As far as I know, there are no general "decompressors" - Most games use completely different forms of compression so a single program wouldn't work on all of them. Several game-specific editors have decompressors in them, but eh. I know EggVine doesn't have one. I recall there being something specialized for getting the graphics from YI but don't know too much about it. So yeah, ripping from a savestate would be the only practical way to go about it. Aargh. I got the game four days ago, right? I've gotten every medal except the one you get for A-Ranking level 3 of Paint Panic. Thing is, I suck at that minigame so fricking much. I mean, in Cart Run I've got A. In Block Attack my highest attained rank is AA. Paint Panic? H. Stupid unsteady hands... |

I can't seem to believe I missed the 5-23 to 6-09 bump (and that Bloodstar did, too... Note that neither of us were mods at the time of that bump but both of us posted here after we became mods here), but whatever, I didn't miss this one. Two weeks is just too much, and this was over that. |

They're actually making a new one, though. Digimon Chronicles, or something along those lines. Or WERE making it, anyway. Haven't heard anything about it in a fair while, and GameFAQs is generally pretty knowledgeable about this stuff. Definitely better than here, anyway. |
