That "dimple" you see in the corner of his mustache is a small patch where it uses the light skin color, which has a contrast against the dark skin color elsewhere. It's a result of the way it's drawn. |

... It's blue because it's really far away, Kei... Y'know, how things are are in real life? Or would you not venture out of you house often enough to notice what mountains in the distance look like? (Note that I know that in reality it's a soft blue and not one nearly as dark as this, but come on, this is Mario). Anyway, the work on the status bar is by no means done, I was just showing a newer font version. I have the bonus star count done right now, too. |

And yeah, perhaps it should be lighter, like I edited in to the initial post. But anyway. I maintain that it looks a hell of a lot better in motion. For the love of god, don't use BMP |
PNG and JPG are the only picture formats anyone should ever use (Well, GIF if you want animation, but then PNG does animation too, it's just ill-supported). And JPG is no good for screenshots of stuff like this. So obviously, you should use PNG.
