| Karadur: The batteries are indeed supposed to last 5 years, but many of them, either due to having not recieved much use, being very well-kept, or some other reason, last much longer. My battery saves for both my copies of The Legend of Zelda (one the original gold, one the gray rerelease) and my copy of The Adventures of Link (original gold) still work, for example (These are my only NES games with battery saves... I had Shadowgate, but it and a few crappy games went missing one day. There's not alot of people that I know that would pick up a cat they saw walking around outside, and keep it as a pet. There's obviously other people that would do that, such as you, Dark Vampriel, and other people out there, and you're all quite entitled to do so
