| *sighs* did you load the map16 file that should've come with the ExGFX? You need to do that and go in to the Add Objects window, go to Direct Map16 access, and load the proper page, then click on stuff and paste it in. If there was no such file, you'll have to make it yourself. Good luck on that. I don't use the stuff from the ExGFX Workshop anyway, I prefer to make my own... It generally comes out better anyway... |

| You pretty much can't. You'll have to design Link in Mario's place. Carefully, and very tediously... And if you make a mistake or put something in the wrong place it'll glitch and look awful and just the wrong time... And some things look like other things so you won't be sure... And you'll have to go back and find out what's wrong... And you also have to make a palette for Link, which will be boring... And come to think of it, why Link? Where will he use his sword, will that be the cape spin? And what if you lose the cape? And if you use the sword for the cape, how will flying work? Can you honestly tell me you're experienced enough to get rid of all these problems? | |||

But since there's no difference in the sprites between Super Mario and Cape Mario, I'll assume the wings will be on the back of the boots; nothing else will work without quite a bit editing. And how will you get the area of the cape to be firmly rooted to the boots? I believe that even if you were to make it look good in one frame they'd be sliding all over the place in all the others, and it would look rather poor... | |||

| =/ In my opinion, you shouldn't dabble in your own created graphics until you have a firm grip on how to implement them. He rushed in head-first, asked stupid questions, got discouraging answers, and tried his hand anyway; thusly, it's his own fault that he recieves such harsh criticism. Granted, I more or less did the same thing minus the graphics, but at least I never tried that stupid "I'm a newbie who doesn't know any better" excuse. I mean, look at Juggling Joker's first and only hack, Just Another Mario Hack. It's clearly awesome despite the fact that it was his first attempt; thusly that excuse holds no water. | |||

| Hmmm... I like to play as Miroku, though I can see why you all like Kagura. Dragon Dance is admittedly quite good... Oh, and Hiryuu, I would agree with him that it is overrated, but this game is undeniably addictive and fun, and if I wanted to discuss anime I'd be in Anime, not General Gaming. |

| Have front of pipe be layer 1 and have back of pipe be layer two, duh. Obvious disadvantage: You'd have to have every level with that pipe use layer two for a background. Obvious advantage: A different background every time would be utterly kickass if done well. | |||

| No background would be an advantageous at points, though, and from the looks of it you don't have a background on some of the levels anyway, and a still background would work pretty well for small castles and caves and such. | |||
