| Feh. Not too surprising, though still disappointing. I'm assuming that it was a remake, and I'm fairly certain you need to get the approval of the original maker for that. They probably had the same battle engine, as well. So considering what's probably copywrited would be in it, not surprising at all. If they were gonna sell it, it's considerably worse  |

| So, just as a test I got the unprotect patches and copied my locked ROM and applied the patches to first three patches to the copy, as is specified. It unlocked the ROM, alright, but that's not the only thing it did. It recovered the overworld's appearance, but it made all the overworld entrances link to level 0. Beating the levels enables going up for both normal and secret exit, but this is pretty easily fixed if you remember what goes where. I'm somewhat impressed. It also brought back the original levels from Super Mario World, graphics and all. Map16 was also reset. Both of these are easily recoverable, however - most people are likely to have the graphics and map16 on hand. It says it's supposed to and if you have the levels saved to .mwl files you can recover those as well. Seems good enough. Patches 2_1 and 2_2 had much worse impact. It unlocked it but also killed the data and blocks and pretty much everything else. It's funny; it's the exact same effect as the what Keikonium's patches supposedly make, though I haven't tried them. I suspect these were taken from Keikonium; this makes 1_1, 1_2, and 1_3 very likely to have been stolen from someone I'm not aware of. Without crediting, of course. Just like Orynider does with what appears to be everything else he's done. What do you want to bet he stole all good levels that are in his hack? | Without using the title screen editor? It may be tough but you could probably do it just by changing the graphics. After extracting the graphics, Open GFX29.bin (or AllGFX.bin and scroll down quite a ways) in a tile editor and change it to Game Boy; the graphics in question are in there. | I get on AIM and IM everyone with "back from vacation" and half of them are "you were on vacation?" Custom title updated as such. Also: The light in the otherwise darkness of my damned post layout is too bright. Text running over it can be somewhat difficult to read, though it's easy to figure out just contextually. I'm aware that has nothing to do with anything. I just don't want to make multiple threads about things that probably don't deserve threads in the first place. I see no yellow in that "yellow" shy guy. More like phlegm green and vomit brown. Not the kind of thing you'd want  And the mask on it is just wierd. If you're gonna make a rex edit, at least make it convincing This assumes you're not actually referring to the giant fat brown "hi, I'm a Mega Mole with different graphics, which will be really wierd when you're on the edge of me and you appear to float in the air" shy guy. I apologize for being unnecessarily critical. It's all very creative; criticizing things pointlessly is just who I am. EDIT: Several screenshots in latest post have the status bar problem.
