Since I used so many, I couldn't have the message box too close, but I also couldn't not have it at all because it's never specifically mentioned elsewhere that you can drop a shell by holding down so some people wouldn't be able to solve that... | Yes, that is because the author applied a patch that changes the music via Bouche's method. You can get this patch by creating a patch with Demo World (not DW:TLC) as the original ROM and Demo World 3 as the modified ROM. I can't recall Bouche's method, before you ask; though I know he posted it at some point on the old board, that event was too recent to have been saved in the archives. | Actually, 0 is transparent, not black, it just looks black on a black background. Those three shades of brown are used for a sprite palette and not for the Mario palette, actually. I know because a few sprites draw from that particular area and I can't seem to recall anything on Mario having that color. Furthermore when I had a custom palette that changed those, it had no effect on Mario while still changing the sprite I wanted. But the other parts you mentioned definitely are. | Our current system makes a hell of a lot more sense than the metric system, though. With 12, lots of stuff goes in to it. It makes dividing by 3, 4, 6, etc. so much easier than it would be with 10 because it goes in to everything evenly. Meanwhile, 10 has... 5... And how the fuck often are you going to want to divide by 5? seriously. Only real advantage 10 has is that we have 10 fingers and 10 toes, so that's an easy counting system... For TODDLERS. I think we should all switch to a base 12 counting system. Sure, some people would complain, but screw them. And I still maintain that MSN Companion is a hell of a lot worse than AOL. A relative: You've changed your password system without telling us to something our password doesn't work in so we can't connect, you've given us backup passwords that do nothing...
