Is there anyway to take mass ownership of files in Windows XP? As it stands, I have to manually take owernship of every individual file, folder and subfolder one at a time. Someone mentioned using cacls but I'm not sure how to use this in a batch file (I hardly know much about batch file scripting).

The problem with using a single sticky that links to good releases is that people would get bored of going to the same sticky every week or so and I believe it would just fizzle out. This way, the good stuff gets to stay on top, first thing you see. With new stickies going in and out so often, you'll be more interested to see what's up.

Passed Paranoia Survivor on Ex2 about 45 minutes ago. Needless to say, it hurt to breathe after that.

Yes utilities too. Basically a good release that doesn't seem to stay at the top of the thread of it's own will get stickied. If it's a major release that gets a lot of attention despite (like one of my hack releases), then it won't get stickied.

I dunno, Megaman's graphics are a bit more complex than something like a Mario game. You can always give it a shot, just don't go nuts with a bunch of hacks like this else your original will lose it's novelty.

Yeah I think you're flogging a dead horse now. The first one was a nice breath of fresh air but I think you might be going a little nuts with these simple graphics hacks. Time to move on to something else.

Please, no ideas of hacks. Only talk about a hack if you've started to work on it and has some proof, like screenshots or a demo, that shows you can dish out what you're speaking of. Otherwise, this shall be closed.

Yes, doing "spins" (any step pattern that forces you to do a complete 360 turn around) takes a LOT of practice. Once you face away from the screen it can get very disorienting. After spins there's a few other step patterns you should work on:

Left Up Right Left Down Right (aka Afronova runs, these can be done without changing your footing)
variatons of this include:
Left Down Right Left Up
Right Up Left Right Down Left
Right Down Left Right Up Left

Then you should finally work on 270 degree turns, that is:

Left Down Right Up right Down Left
variations inlude
Right Down Left Up Left Down Right
Left Up Right Down Right Up Left
Right Up Left Down Left Up Right

These are by far the hardest to master in my opinion, as most people do spins then when they encounter these, they want to keep spinning but later relize they're screwing up real bad.

And on a side note: Just did Paranoia Survivor on Ex 2 TWICE in a row. I have movies of both attempts (one front view, one side view). Obviously my second time wasn't nearly as good as the first, but my first time (in this session that is, I passed it a few days ago) I got an A with about 81 mill score, with around 15 Good/Boo/Alost with the rest Marv/Perf/Great. Needless to say, it HURTS.

As soon as I can get some space, I'll try to upload these movies (they're 31 MB a piece, if I could get something that decoded MOV files and converted them to straight AVI, I could compress then with RAR like crazy.)

Arch your back and bend your knees. This will allow you to jump much faster than normally. It doesn't help on stamina but it's the best way to nail quick jumps. It takes a lot of practice though (it took me a year and a half to be able to do quick jumps, my main practice was LoM Standard).

At any rate, I finally got all the songs on Ex2. I got to PSM on E and I'm scared to do it. I know I can pass it with an A, but after doing PS twice yesterday back to back and Aing it both times, my legs are a bit shot still. Playing in mesh or sweat pants makes this 10x easier than doing it in jeans.

Your first thread was sufficient for asking for help. If the first didn't generate your results, you should reply to it to bring it to the top rather than creating a new one.

Had a great arcade run. Despite being tired from overplaying Ex2 at home, I saw an immense improve in my arcade skills.

I bagged a couple of new AA's.

Kiss Kiss Kiss (hard 8 footer).
Colors (Oni)
Paranoia Rebirth

I also full combo'd Witch Doctor and got 1 Boo (rest Great/Perf, about 60 Greats) on Fantasy (the 9 footer one).

So all in all I've improved quite a bit. Next time I go I should be completely rested and ready to totally own Sakura (trying to AA it).

So I wonder if that means all songs have 5 step charts or if difficulty just means more access to more songs/step charts. Also, I wonder if doubles mode is in it.

Move over Dance Dance Ressurrection...

http://www.digitalpraise.com/flash.php?page=dancePraise

Will there be The Legend of Mass? Amazing Grace Survivor? Read the reviews too. Appareantly DDR is corrupting the mind of our children with immoral and demonic messages.

Maybe on Stepmania shows red songs like that, but Sakura isn't a red song, but still 10 feet (according to home and arcade DDR), plus, Genom Screams is a 8-footer on singles, kthx. Red songs on home/arcade are just boss songs. Dance Dance Revolution and Trip Machine Survivor on Extreme is a red songs but only 9 feet each.

Yes, the bar is there for a reason. As a SAFETY precation. Do A Oni and do the spin towards the middle of the end run, most people will likely fall over if the bar isn't there to catch them. It was NEVER meant to be used as a crutch to play the game, if it were, then home pads would have them as standard parts.

However, using the bar to pass really hard songs I see no problem with, but relying on it to do anything below 10 feet I see as cheating. Don't throw speed mods into this because speed mods were put into the game and were meant to be used, the bar was not.

Now ITG it's necessary, yes and the game was designed with the bar in mind, but official DDR by Konami will likely never have a song that's so hard that the bar is required to pass it by most players.
