| Kario wins! A lot of the map icons are animated now, which is why some things look.. different... And Kawaii: you're right to guess that the doomship is an a level tile, rather than just a sprite that flies around the map. You can pass over it and enter it as you please and dying won't make it move. LordLazer: There will be no alternating between characters. You choose a character at the start of the game and the you proceed through the entire game as the same character. The other character will have his own levels, maps and special abilities, thus, you may think that it's just a seperate set of levels, when really, there are a few things that are only for each character, such as Mario is the only one who can get the Ice power and Luigi is the only one who can get the Whirlwind power. So it really is two hacks in one. |

| lol, I don't get where anyone thinking it's 2 Players. It's a ONE PLAYER GAME. You choose either Mario or Luigi, go through the quest by yourself, beat it, then go you go through it as the other characterisntead to see the other cool ASM hacks youd didn't see as the other character, ding dong ding and.... wtf drjayphd.... just.... wtf... And the Raccoon Luigi extension power: Star power. What does "Star Power" do? Several things. First, you can turn into a Starman that's spinning. In this mode, you cannot jump, but, you are invincible. Also, in this mode, you can break bricks and blocks with eyes on them can be broken from being on top of them. And finally, you can charge your P-meter from a standing spot. Screens!          Rock on! |

| Wow folks you're telling me to lighten up yet jump my ass for stating my own opinion. I think the hack is stupid and childish, that's my thoughts, get over it. If I was being pissy and serious about this I'd close and trash the thread, but some people may like this type of humor, I for one, haven't liked it since I was 8. Get-over-it. | |||

| Kt's right. Each colored Mushroom house holds a different selection of items in the shops. Mario and Luigi's item selection will differ, as will their prices. Thus, there will be 6 different item shops all together. | |||

| Yes, coins will be required to by SOME items (some may only be winnable). There will be bonus games too (there's already one) that you can earn items in. The item shops won't require you to buy an item. You can go in, see a price, if you don't have enough coins, you can leave without buying anything. Shops never disappear and are re-enterable infinite number of times. | |||

Obviously he can do more than just mere text hacking if he's changing the sounds in a GBA ROM. His ability to ROM hack has never come into question, just his sense of humor  I guess I was too harsh at first, I've never seen him before and to see a hack like this as the first thing from him, it just reminds me of the old NES hacking days when people used crude humor to get attention in their hacks, but a joke hack like this is just a joke, I suppose and I apologize for being so serious. my thread got pushed WAY down and I'm not through showing cool and awesome stuff. And this one, is cool, literally. I figured Star power for Luigi was totally awesome, I needed to add a new feature for Ice Mario that'll knock your socks off, and behold!   Ice Mario can now freeze coins and use them as platforms. This will be very useful in finding some secrets (and maybe even make some situations easier!) |

| Fire and Ice are totally seperate, as are Raccoon and Star (star power, not invincibility). So the current "modes" for each are: Super Fire Raccoon Mouser Panda Boomerang Ice - Mario only Star - Luigi only 8 different, unique power-ups in the entire game. (yes, there is a Star Mario and Ice Luigi but those will require cheating/codes  ) |

I can AA Little Boy now, and trust me, that's not an easy task... ...and I can do R3 on stealth on PAD AND, AND I can do quite a few songs on Sudden and Reverse at the arcade... | Spel wertz: well you're the only player here that's better than I am who's spoken up. I know there's many out there better than I am but I always speak up with my accomplishments. There's no harm and showing me up, though, and showing off your accomplishments that are 10x better than my own. Relative to to the world, I'm a decent player I guess, relative to this board and my city, I'm one of the best. Of course, there's always someone better than you are |

| All graphic problems seen in any of these screenshots will be fixed before the final hack release. As for completion, I can't give any percentages, but World 1 for Mario is done, World 1-4 for Luigi is done, so I effectively have 11 (maybe more) worlds to go. | Actually, the Ice power is a very recent addition to the hack. There isn't an ice "state" per say for coins, there's a frozen coin object, then there's the coin object. I had to create a new routine that detected when a fireball was on a coin, but, I also had to make sure it was from Ice Mario, not Fire Mario. Then I had to make sure the screen drew an frozen coin object in place of a coin object. Let's just say, it required me to bankswitch because the code it took to pull this off was too much to fit in the current spot it would have been in. It doesn't freeze munchers, in fact, munchers don't exist anymore | |||

| SMB3WS has everything M3I has. It has freeform mode, m3l level files, ability to load a level from anywhere in the ROM (VERY useful for my hack). Only thing I use M3I for now is sprite editing on the map screen. That's it. | |||
