If same-sex marriage is a violation of someone's religious rights, then if there is a religion out there that accepts and recognizes same-sex marriage, it will still be thought of as a violation of religous rights, atleast, your religious rights. Thus, you would think that any institution of one religion that's different from another religion is a violation of another's religious rights. Henceforth, Jews celebrating Hannuka is a violation of Christian rights. Women wearing pants is a violation of Southern Baptist religious rights. Drinking before the legal age is a violation of Christian rights (the Bible DOES say to obey the law of the land). Your girlfriend walking out in a skimpy skirt is a violation of Muslim's religious rights. But you get my point? Just because YOUR religion doesn't support an idea, it doesn't mean that your religious rights are being violated, especially of the same sex couple getting married isn't even of the same religion as you! And that has been said many times before, extending rights is not changing their meaning. Homophobes are just wanting to surpress homosexual relationships by denying them the LEGAL RIGHT of marriage. This is like the fool who broke the bell and held his ears, thinking that if he didn't hear the bell ring, then it wouldn't make a sound. Same-sex marriage isn't forcing religious institutes to recognize their bond, if I recall correctly, my parents got married in a court, not a church. If a gay couple were to go to vegas and elope, the walls of society would not crumble. The government would get more out of them as a couple as far as taxes go. And finally, I see bumper stickers that say "adoption, not abortion" and yet, these same people want to deny those who WANT to adopt (same sex couples) the ability to do so! Talk about hypocracy :/ Edit: Oh and opposite sex marriage has done a great job of ruining the sanctity of marriage as it is. Marriages set up in days of lore just to keep peace between to lands, or to gain more power. How about the high divorce rate in America? How about that Britney Spears! Actually, Pipe and Water levels do use the same PRG-ROM banks, but each object set has a unique tile clear value. When a new level loads, the tile id in RAM is cleared out with a certain value (it's not 0x00!) and the certain tiles are treated different depending on the object set. What you're SUPPOSED to do is make the first object in a Pipe level be: Domain: 0 Object: 0C X: 0 Y: 0 This will override the weird water background that's drawn to clear the level and replace it with a blank black tile. However, here's a fix so that you won't need that object: 0x24488 = 80 This will fix your level for ya Ringodoggie |

Bingo Dan. There were lots of sticky threads and they needed to be cleared up, and the forum announcement had the same info, so I figured no need to repeat what has been said before.

You could have just asked for a thread title change So anyways, it's nice to see some Sonic 2 hacks making their way over here, though this isn't the first one I've seen posted here. I just hope you stick with it to the end, God knows we need some completed Sonic hacks |

Quite honestly, SMW has been hacked to death so I've got to the point where I prefer to see ASM hacks over good level design first. An ASM hack will draw me to play the hack, the level design will turn me off. But good level design will just make me say "oh that's cool, he can make good levels" and I'll play maybe one world and quit. I agree with knuck though, if someone did some ASM hacks to "enhance" SMW, I'd so be pysched to play through it with the same levels and graphics. Look at SMA series, the games had some minor game engine changes and prettier graphics but the SAME LEVEL DESIGN and people ate them up Note: This is not my general feeling towards all hacks of all games. Just SMW (edited by DahrkDaiz on 02-13-05 10:25 PM) |

Oh come on folks, if I can take aspects of SMW and bring them to SMB3 using limited resources, I'm sure someone can just as easily take SMB3 aspects and take them to SMW with much more resources to work with. I, for one, am convinced that this is real. We already saw the Raccoon Suit is real, so why not the shoe? I don't quite understand what's so "wrong" in the screenshots, but I'm quite excited as to what to come from this project.

Yes, x-4000 has no funds nor the time to input any effort into Challenge Games anymore. None of the members stepped up to pay for hosting, so the main site is dead. However, their board is still up in some form at http://cg-games.panicus.org/ I can't promise hi activity there, but this is the best place to get your CG information. So CG isn't officially dead, nor is it very alive at the moment.

Actually yes, I found and documented it! Here's what I saved: How to make Simon jump higher in Castlevania: At ROM location (with header) 0x19BA0 there are 10 bytes that control how much Simon moves up for each split second, lowering the numbers will make him move more each interval, but you have to make sure the last byte (0x19BAB) is 0xFF so he stops moving, and that each byte from start to finish is larger in value than the next (or equal). Example: F7 F7 F9 F9 FB FB FD FD FE FE FF |

I've never heard of these things being doable as of the current time. The only option you have is to get a flash cart and transfer a hacked copy of SMA4 to it and use that to access your e-reader card levels, but as far as I know, there are no e-reader emus or ways to over-write a save on a cart via PC.

Originally posted by Ringodoggie Sorry I forgot to reply to your PM: This doesn't have to do with sprite TSA, it has to do with sprite positioning on screen. I've been looking through the ASM routines for about 30 minutes now without finding anything, but I'll continue searching until I can find a way to fix this. EDIT: Ah, finally found it. 0x85DB = 00 That will move your fire bros. up by 8 pixels, but this very well may affect other enemies as well, I haven't tested it myself much. Wow they are HORRIBLY behind the times if they consider those the best ROM Hacks of all time. No offense to their respective creators, but stuff like Zelda Challenge, Demo World, and DXO deserve to be on that list. Maybe you can get us a scan of the article?

Ah well that was found while searching for the Hammer Bros. I assumed that it would apply to the Fire Bros. and Boomerang Bros. both too since they have similiar sprite positioning nad what not, but I'm glad you found what you were looking for.

Well my part was too small, I just provided data. But if someone picks up on it, I'll continue to provide that person with data needed. But as Dan said: the editor is 100% fully functional. Everything needed to do a great hack is in that editor. It has very few bugs in it and it doesn't really hurt the editor's functionality nor does it corrupt rom data. The main think I think hukka was working on last was just making the editor more compatible with over hacked roms by reading the level object tile definitions. However, this isn't a big deal since very few of us actually hack SMB3 to that extent that level object tile definitions are changed and those who do can just deal with it |

Challenge Games' hosting was terminated, thus, so was Fusoya's old web space. It may be coming back soon. Question answered and it seems this thread is already heading downhill, so we'll just leave it at that
