If nobody sees it, Clockworkz, then how is anyone to help him? Everyone thinks about suicide once or twice, it's normal. It's not good, but it's fairly normal. Ive thought about it a few times, but I hate pain, so it's not gonna happen. Heh. That, and I still owe someone money, and I can't just skip out on a commitment like that, now can I? |

The amount of posts, fans, fansites, cameo apperances in games, etc etc, keep Aeris alive and well. Check out this site. You burn roms and an emulator to a cdr disc (or dvd if you want if it's X-Box or Playstation). The emulator on the disc will run the roms on the disc using the consoles hardware. There's all kinds of examples, and different kinds of emulation going on. Check out: http://www.dcemulation.com http://xport.xbox-scene.com http://www.pocketnes.org/ http://www.snesadvance.org/ There's more, I don't know of them though. Console-Console emulation rules. |

It would go rather well with the mario hacking forums, talking about the mario man and just punctuate a sentence with the man himself. Oh yeah. Now, how about a Luigi smiley? | |||

In this thread, you should release it. No need for 3 or 4 different threads. Post several screenshots showing what youve modified in the game. Everyone loves to see screenshots, and if there are none, people are less likely to even bother to download it (even if it turns out to be the best rom hack ever. ). Release it in IPS patch form, and link to it directly from here, instead of a site where it's located. It just makes things easier for everyone, not having to search through a linked site, when the patch itself could have been linked just as easily. Ok, enough rambling, I can't wait to try your hack out, it sounds as if you put a lot of time and effort into it, and a good zelda game is just what I need right about now (or whenever you see fit to release it). I think they were for Japan only. For the BS Satallaview, or something similar. A satalite service for hotels and what-not that you could download these games to the hotel tv's and play them, for a fee. I don't know if they ever physically existed as cartridges, just 'downloaded' so to speak and played. So many great games too, to this day, I have a blast playing through the BS games. I'm probably wrong about alot of my info, but it's what I remember of it off the top - O - me head. |

I wonder if it would be now possible to add a bike level (like in the later X games) with the auto scrolling level trick... Of course that would take more than just the scroll hack, but that's just one of the many ideas flooding in, with all the possiblities. It's too bad I have no time to really in depth play around with it, cause after looking at the level data, and finding out how easy it is (well, easier than some games I've toyed with ) I now want to hack MegaMan X. |

It's good to hear that you really put alot into it. The best hacks are those that you really put your heart and soul into, take your time with, and mold it like a work of art. If your going to do something, do it right, and do it for yourself. Even if nobody hails it as the greatest hack ever, you get the distinguished honor of it being one of the only complete Zelda 3 hacks available. Might I bother you by asking the official name of your hack? Or would you rather wait untill it's release? (edited by Chickenlump on 04-19-04 10:33 PM) |

Screenshots look solid so far. As for naming, The Evil Peer suggested to me once that I use part of my name and part of the game (or editor in my place) for the name. Something like : Zelda 3 - Omega Just a thought. Perhaps the perfect name will come to you out of the blue. |

I know you've already heard this, but I'm going to say it anyways. These graphics are very good. No. They are above awesome. I wish I had half of your artistic abilities. I loved Super Mario Land. It was just so cool, simple, and portable. Retro never gets old. |

I think VisualBoy Advance has an option to automatically disable them when you load a rom. Not remove them, but not show them, which was very nice. I don't remember if he took it out or not. I remember one guy posted in rom hacking on how to add one in. Heh...he got told seven days from sunday that nobody would help him, and those that added them in needed to be flogged. XD Come to think about it...I havent seen him post since... |

It's not that we don't know where to find one, it's that there ISN'T one to find. There are no publicly available SMW2 editors. None. Not even 1. But, there is TONS of info available on it. Almost everything you need to make a good hack, including levels. I've seen at least 2 really great demos of SMW2 hacks that had new levels, and were really challenging and great. (I'd point you to them, but their threads went kaput with the old board). Here is a zip file I made, just for joo. It contains all the publicly known Yoshi's Island data. Make good use of it with a hex editor, or perhaps you feel up to programming an editor with it? http://www.angelfire.com/in3/chickenlump/YIData.zip |
