| Easy system to understand. Black mage starts out with 50 MP (MP = Magic Points) These points can be restored by sleeping at an in, and with magic potions. They are like hit points that only go down when you use a magic spell. Fire magic might cost 5 MP (Magic Points). If the black mage uses fire on his turn, the fire spell subtracts 5 MP from his MP total. So now his MP will look like this 45/50 Current number of usable MP / Current maximum number of mp Unless you were joking, and now I probably look silly trying to teach someone the MP system ![]() |

| I stopped getting presents years ago, but last year, my best friend bought me a cake, and gave it to me. That made me quite happy really. |

XcomGS, It may seem like it will be easy, but I'm sure you'll find that picking up a hack mid-way will be harder on you in the long run. It's easier to start fresh, since your not starting fresh, I'm pretty sure you'll have a harder time. I'm kind of reminded of the FF3 editor, by Yousei, going open source for everyone to continue. Not much came of that, probably because people wouldn't know where to begin. |

| There is a new format being developed, very similar to Playstation's PSF format. I beleive the format is going to be called USF. It's not done yet, but you can check out what's going on with it. This guy has succesfully ripped the music from Super Mario 64 and Pilot Wings 64, and made a winamp plug-in to play them. If you do download, remember, it's beta, so bugs, or crashes are possible (I havent had it crash yet though). Some threads to read through. http://www.zophar.net/wwwthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=general&Number=219694&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=0&part=1&vc=1 The author sometimes posts here about his project, for feedback, suggestions, etc. Read back a couple pages, you may need to register to join the group. http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/psf_rippers/ The author's home page, where you can download the ripped sets, and his beta plug-in. http://hcs.freeshell.org/index.cgi His homepage seems to have passed it's daily limit right now though, so keep checking back. Perhaps the Geomon set will be ripped next..... |

| Yeah, everyone points to that sticky thread in the....art? forum....bah I posted for help there on how to change a link color, and it's been a week... ![]() Programming seems a better place to post these questions (nobody posts for layout help in the art forum everyone must notice by now, they come here.....). Although scrollbars are evil, and blah blah blah, I too would like to see how they are done. |

"Now try harder! Hack better!" XD Beating people to get better romhacks...heh... Ok, back to reality...The graphics look great, you do amazing work with the limited colors, you really make the most of everything. Great job. I also like the idea of this one being more linear. I like linear. I do. |

| Honestly, I don't recall 'rising' in any public place before. 0_0 Maybe it's just me, but it doesn't happen. Now that I know of this phoenomenom, I'll be afraid when I shop, thinking how everyone next to me is "popping boners". OMG...did I just type that? XD |

| Extracting the graphics, and editing them in a tile editor is the ONLY (ONLY I TELL YOU) ONLY way to edit the sprite graphics. Tile editors are made for that kind of thing...you know...editing sprite tiles? It looks like your going to have to buckle down, grin and bear it, and learn to use a tile editor. It's a piece of cake really. | |||

I thought to myself, Awsome, a level made out of cake and chocolate frosting, it perfectly matches the candy theme and is awesome! But then I saw it was oil themed... I suppose it has to do with storyline. Looking good so far, perhaps have some of the oil drums (pipes?) have oil leaking out of the tops. |

| I've been using this desktop for awhile. When I'm not using this theme, I'm using the Classic look, similar to Win 98 default. http://www.angelfire.com/in3/chickenlump/desktop.PNG |

| I'm sorry to hear about that, man. My grandmother passed away last year, and had to stay offline to keep the phones open as well (the good ol dial-up days....ick). It hit my parents the most, and seeing my mom cry mad me more sad than the actual passing of my grandmother, which makes me feel worse.... ![]() |

| Really well done edited Palettes can be very very effective, and make the original graphics shine. Edited graphics arent absolutely necessary, but if you don't have a deadline for when your hack is going to be done, dive in and learn to use a tile editor. It can be as easy as Paint. In fact, you can convert standard image formats to snes format and vice versa and place your edited graphics in the tile editor and into your rom. Good luck with it. | |||

| Here, Tekhacks, DES, Zophars Message Domain. Mostly lately though, I post here more than I post at the others. Theres just so much going on here, and everyone (mostly ) is so friendly.I visited Gamefaq's boards a few times, but for the insane amount of threads and posts, I found so very little actual substance, and worthwhile posts. :\ |

Not all systems need a mod chip though. I play all my NES roms on a single bootable, unmodded Dreamcast all the time. If there were a full speed SNES emu for Playstation 2, I would consider buying one though... ![]() |

| To make them more convincing, you should apply a blurring filter to your additions, so that they match the others better. Notice how your additions are sharp, and the others blurry? I like them, and the idea of a rom hack of that nature would be kind of fun, (lightyears from now of course). Of course, there is always MUGEN.... |
