Yes, but if all the hero's had that 'gonna die and return to another world, everything's o.k.' safety net, they wouldn't fight near as hard, or at all for their causes. It would be ok to let the world go to pot. I think that would take all the fun and risk out of being a hero. They HAD to fight hard for their causes, they had no saftey nets unfortunately...

I'll have to disagree on that one. The video game industry will never run out of ideas. Some games may dissapoint because of lack of innovation, or them not being a complete reinvention of a genre, but 90% of the time it's not because of lack of ideas. I thought Super Mario Sunshine was a great game, similar to what fans liked about previous mario's but expanded upon. More of everything, new ideas and twists. If people wanted a different game than mario, why did they bother to get....mario?

Oh yes they can.
Then, with any luck, the Chrono Series can begin it's reign once more!

The current url for your avatar reads as:

http://board.acmlm.org/de.geocities.com/rpgamer04/images/ogrebattel_64/ob3char11_2_small.jpg

There is obviously no such address, a simple mistake.

Copy and paste this instead for your avatar to work.

I don't think Geocities allows offsite linking. I can get it to show up by right clicking it and hitting "View image" but it's only temporary.

Create an angelfire account and upload it there, it's what I use. It's free.
(I know there is a billion other better free-er options, etc etc, it's just all that came to mind just now )

Just like Apophis said, it's in your browser's cache.

I've uploaded it to my angelfire account, so you can use it till then. Just copy and paste this in and it should work properly.

Eventually though, you should get your own account and upload it to that one. OK?

My advice would be to get ALL your graphics editing done FIRST. ALL of it. Then when youve gotten your graphics done, make a back up, put it in multiple zip files, or however you back-up. Then you can use Hyrule Magic without worry.

Some tile editors let you use the proper colors by loading up savestates, picture files, palette files, etc, or, if you know the exact offset of the palette for the graphic your going to edit, you can sometimes type that in a tile editor, and it will pull the correct colors out of the rom itself. Or you can just manually change the default colors the tile editor is using, and save it. Try a variety of tile editors, each have strengths and weaknesses, and your bound to like at least a few.

RoboTrek was awesome, and had great music. SNES
Paladin's Quest was really cool too, try it. SNES
Arcana was great for it's time (if you can get used to the dungeon crawling). SNES
The Legend of Schaherazade, I loved this game when I was a kid. NES

Well, It works for you, cause it's in your cache, but nobody else sees it. Truthfully.

And yes, you could just do the .txt trick, but it's a great excuse to move to a better web page provider.

I like TileEd 2002, it lets you load palettes from roms, png and gif files, and loads of palette file types. If you can find where the old board backup is, it should still have the Zelda hacking forum, and I thought I saw some palette info in a couple of threads. (it's been awhile )

Here is the Rom Hacking Repository's list of tile editors for download. Try a few.

You mean you didn't like Shaq Fu?!?!?

heh...me either.

In fact, any kind of licensed game, featuring any kind of actor, musical group, or icon is a waste, as they usually use them as the game's main draw, and slack off when it comes to the actual game. There are a few exceptions, but not many...

Which brings me to the next thing that doesn't mix well with games.
Advertisements.

I fear the day that we will all be forced to watch a commercial before getting to play the games.

I didn't see any topics about this yet, and dont' think it's been mentioned yet (I would have searched for it, but...you know...)

Could a search page be added? I know the old board needed one badly, as there were so many posts. Eventually it would be a great addition, there's not much now, but there soon will be, and it might cut down on redundant posts.

If this has been done to death (I honestly didn't see a post asking this yet) or if there is a search function, close this, or point me in the right direction please.

Oh that, yeah, in ff7 when you get taken into the slum desert under the Golden saucer, down in the well (I think it's a well) you can fight the Test 0 dogs. It was in the jap version, but taken out of the american version (I think a GS code will reenable them though..)

They didn't do anything interesting really.

Control and F works fine for what's on a single page. I took this picture awhile back (before the board went squish)

As you can see, at that time, there were 56 pages, with about 50 threads on each page. JUST in the Super Mario World Hacking Forum. Not counting the multiple pages that some of those threads spanned.

Blah. X-Box. For Christmas, I was able to buy 2 GameCubes, one for my dad, and one for my sister, and the combined price was lower than a single X-Box. They waited FAR too long to lower the price. Halo 2 will surely make it's way to PC before too long, I'm sure.

Hmmm... This makes me wonder if I actually lived in any of these towns, would I hear the music? Would it go on forever?

I might pull my hair out, no matter how much I like the music, night and day, the town theme music coming out of nowhere....all the time.....
